Internet Global Phone Project -- IGP uses voice compression
technology to allow two-way voice communication over the
internet. It differs from Internet Phone by first having to record and
compress a message before sending it. The resulting communication
will obviously be slower than Internet Phone. Also, there are no
hotlists to help users find other users to talk to. IGP will work on a
386, but the sound quality will not be as high as on other machines.
The help file would not load when I tried to access it; also, there
are very few instructions and options to help novice users get
started.
Pros: Two-way voice communication over the internet
Cons: Message must be saved and compressed first, few options
and on-line help
New: This is the initial review for Internet Global Phone Project
