Tuesday's Statesman article by Steve Schiebel was very interesting. It discloses that Will Wynn, the heir apparent of the liberal Democratic (sold out) establishment, isn't doing so hot. Why? In my baised opinion, because he hasn't been listening to Austin neighborhoods, but listens quite carefully to business interests, many of whom, after getting "Smart Growth" special deals, have since left Austin (Intel is but one dramatic example!). What is also interesting is the article puts Marc Katz as second in the race. However, austinmayor.com's huge poll (12,000+ voters, who can only vote once from the same computer) indicates Max is in second place. The question is can Max hold his numbers up to election day? Only if on-line users continue to check in and check this site out and decide for themselves. Obviously, I'm baised, I support Max cause he listens to the little guys and gals, including Austin's heart and soul -- musicians, who like myself can't afford to live in Will Wynn's Austin. If Will Wynn's Austin continues to lose. So, Austinites -- what are ya gonna do? austinmayor conference Main Menu
