So far, everyone on this Board has been amazingly considerate & polite in their posts, & I thank you all for it. But just to get it out in the open, here are the Official rules of conduct for newbies:
1) Be respectful of others' opinions, even when you disagree with them. No problem with having rational, informed arguments/discussions, but not if this involves putting someone else down.
2) No condescending please. We are all here to learn!
3) This board is organic, & I want it to grow in whatever direction our interests happen to take us. If that means opening topics on George Eliot, Charles Dickens, or your pets, go ahead! The Spring's format makes it so easy for us to browse only those topics which interest us!
4) If, by some unfortunate circumstance, someone posts to the Board who is a continual annoyance to everyone else in terms of insults, etc., they will be issued one Official Warning, then be asked to leave. I am a strict Mommy in this respect.
That's it! Have fun! amy
