What's going on at Capitol City? Where is the magazine headed. What

What went on earlier tonight was a very nice party over at the Village Shopping Center
in a little sandwhich shop. There were snacks, prizes and lots of interesting folks.
I got to talk to Doug about pumping up this conference and some other interesting folks.
Dene was there talking up her Barter Exchange. There were many talented artists and writers.
And a pair of photographers. And a lady who was born on the first day of Spring who works
in the UT math department.
Nice going Doug.

Sharon Jones, Co-founder & Editor-in-Chief of Mike's Feedback Magazine,
Joins Forces, with Capitol City A&E Magazine!
Capitol City Arts & Entertainment Magazine is proud to announce the
addition of Sharon Jones, the Co-founder & Editor-in-Chief of Mike's
Feedback Magazine to our growing staff. Soon after the painful decision
was made to discontinue publication of the popular Austin music magazine
Mike's Feedback, Capitol City Editor-in-Chief, Douglas E. La Rue recognized
the unique opportunity this presented and persuaded Sharon to bring her
style and expertise on board as the new Music City Editor.

My name is Bruno Amado and I`m from Lisbon in Portugal.
I skate for about 5 years, and my favorite manuvers are crooked grind,
nollie flip,
hard flip, switch flip 360 and nollie backside flip.
I am presently discusting with the Representer of bizo shoes in Portugal my
sponsorship.
I`m a frequently reader of your magazine and I wonder why don`t you
publishe nothing about what is happening in around Europe like in Portugal,
like the championship and our skaters, because we have some good skaters,
like Rmulo Pereira, Ricardo Fonseca, "Frana", Mileu, Ivo Carinhas, Nuno
Afonso etc...

Congratulations!
Lisa Tingle performs at ASG Showcase...
We found out at the Austin Songwriter's showcase of 4/1/98 that Lisa
Tingle and Carl Thiel are expecting their first child in September. Lisa
looks great, and sounds great and seems to be doing better from the back
injury she sustained when a drunk driver rear ended her truck last year.
Both "parents to be" are very excited about the news, as are Lisa's
parents.
Lisa has been working in the studio on a new album she will be shopping
around with record companies in the near future. For those record labels
looking for talent, this is a great opportunity for you to sign an
incredible vocalist. I was at the studios when they were recording a
couple of the tracks, and the material she has been working on is top
notch!
Lisa will be appearing at Steamboat every Tuesday night for the next few
weeks, opening for MC Overlord. If you want to treat yourself to some
great music, go and check out Steamboat on Tuesday nights. (6th St.)
