Good?
Bad?
Indifferent?
(And, did it come true or was it just another empty promise
to be washed down with the evening's alcohol consumption?)

Your mood is calm and you seem content to go along with
what others want. Fortunately, others seem to want much the
same as you do, so there shouldn't be any conflict of interest.

You're in a rather secretive mood today, and with good cause.
A delicate mood of romance has gripped you and you'll drift
off into a world of daydreams again and again. Your thoughts
of the way things could be may be rather unrealistic, but it
does help to engender a passionate atmosphere, which will be
fulfilled...in the short term, at least. A person you've
admired from afar may respond subtly today.

Friday's was:
Your confidence could take a slight knock today. Someone
may upstage you or make you feel small, and you may wish
you had more money or status. Remember that materialism
isn't everything.
It was right on...
Today's is:
There is no point in concentrating on any kind of objective
today because fate conspires to mess everything up! You
may feel as though you are trying to walk with marbles in
your shoes or talk with a mouth full of cherry pips. In short,
try to relax and make the minimum of effort in any direction.
We'll see...

Saturday's was true to its word...
Here's the one for Sunday:
Rely on your instincts today. Things are changing around you
and it may be hard to work out just what your next move should
be. Try to go slow and avoid committing yourself to anything
that will work against you in the long term. Your mood is
suprisingly sexy today, so if you want one area of your life
in which to try something new, this could be it!

Today's was:
Everything seems a bit dull and mundane to you today, and
your rather restless mood will make you yearn to visit
far-flung places. If your lover suggests you start planning a
trip you'll jump at the idea, and practical matters such as time
or money will be beside the point.
Didn't happen...however, the alochol consumption did.

Ok, the official one for Tuesday was:
A father figure may be especially to you or,
alternatively, an authority figure will offer you some good
advice and a helping hand. Your mind is full of great ideas
and fortunately the world seems keen to hear what you have
to say. You could even find yourself on the radio, on
television or being quoted in papers!
Yeah, right...

alleviate your boredom ... if only such a person could be
found! All in all, today could be rather dull.

Autumn, thankfully, blew today's up,
Thursday's is:
Today is one of those strange days when the planets are not
making any major aspects. Astrologers call this kind of day
'void of course', meaning that the Moon's path, or course, is
unaspected. There is nothing special about this, except for the
fact that it's not worth starting anything new. Leave any
important projects for a more auspicious time.

Today's Full Moon puts the spotlight on your career. There
have been a lot of changes going on around you and within
you. Now you have to decide exactly what you want, and in
which direction you should proceed. Before you can act you
need a plan, so take some time to make sure that your
strategies for progress are workable. Employers and authority
figures will be impressed by your drive and determination.

Today's was:
Many of your most cherished desires take a step nearer to
fulfilment as the red planet Mars enters your horoscopic area
of hopes and wishes. You'll be endowed with the energy and
drive to see your aims through to a successful conclusion.
Male friends are especially important now, as they can point
you in directions that you hadn't previously considered. This
period should see a rapid upturn in your social life.
Excitement follows where Mars leads!

that the daily drudgery is getting you down, yet it would be
unwise to fly the nest. Be patient.

Thursday:
It is only after making a supreme effort to improve your
circumstances that you will be able to sit back and look for
something more absorbing on which to focus your energies.
Today's stars will bring a stop-go feeling to your closest

or your lover relly want from each other.

you don't wanna read 'em...
You will be more at ease with yourself today than for some
time. You may have been pushing yourself too much, or
trying too hard to reach a particular objective. This is fair
enough: you are in an ambitious frame of mind and there's
something you want to achieve, but you're being told to slow
down and give your nerves a rest.

my little book says this about Scorpio moms:
These mothers are either wonderful or not really maternal
at all, although they try to do their best. If they take to
child rearing, they encourage their offspring educationally
and in their hobbies. These mothers have no time for whiny
or miserable children but they respect outgoing, talented
and courageous ones and they can cope with a handful.

There's a touch of deception around at the moment, and you
can't blame anyone but yourself! Gossip is rife and the rumours
all add up to a wrong conclusion. In other words, two and two
don't make five! If you're concerned about your security, such

The charitable impulses that make you such an endearing
soul become a liability at the moment! Mercury moves into
your eleventh solar house now, making you the target for

My, you are in a restless mood today! If you can jump on a

realms of life, too.

OH, you're absolutely right, Wolf! Going out to dinner can take anything from
two to six hours . . . It's a lazy, layed-back place where no-one gets impatient,
everyone has time - that's what I love about it. It's such an easy, mellow pace
to adapt to. Sometimes when evening comes, you think to yourself: now what
have I done today? And the answer is: had breakfeast till 19:00.

Economize in the nonessential areas of your daily life. It's hard to look
at other people and not attempt to guess at their net worth. Call in your
debts today, especially those that are past due.
Guess I gotta pay some bills today. I knew that. And I have four

The combination of the two foremost male and female

Sagittarius
August 8, 1998
A great day for communicating your ideas and opinions to others; when even those who consider themselves superiors will be hanging on your every word and asking you for input. You may even surprise yourself with some original thought or plan which you did
n't know you had in you. You have a visionary zeal about you today which will make everyone around you sit up and take notice. Others will appreciate what you have to say. A parent or child could seek you out to have a private talk, try not to be surprise
by any revelations.
And Sunday's:
Your genius is matched only by your spaciness. People find you funny
without necessarily understanding a word you say. Get others to tell you
their stories so you can pick and choose the best and increase your
repertoire. At a certain level, all experience is connected, so keep your
eye on the other members of your group when making plans. Expand your
horizons by taking on something new; a dance class, a computer program,
or a new artistic means of expression. Learn from other people's mistakes.

Today's ...
You won't get very far without the support of friends or family, so don't
leave behind the people that you love. Someone else's reality becomes far
more important than your dream. Remind yourself who you're working for.
What once seemed like a short haul is now an impossible distance. Can you
still make the trek? Actively listen to the metaphors of great literature
and the moral of every story and consider how these lessons can be
applied to your own life. Look for lost items in the most obvious places.

Now, let's see what's in store for us Sag's tomorrow, Riette.
Your mood is an inspiration to children. Adulthood doesn't have to be a
boring proposition after all. Playing games is research and development
in its purest form. Delight your childish side with something silly, like
a giant bouquet of balloons. Borrow someone else's children for an outing
to the zoo or the playground, followed, of course, by ice cream
afterward. A bit of unplanned travel may be dropping some getaway tickets
into your hands at some point.

You probably had very vivid dreams last night and you're still feeling a
bit dreamy. Your energy will be high today but there may be something
which is not quite right -- something you cannot put your finger on. Keep
busy and it will pass. Try to bury your head in the sand, or, failing
that, in work. In fact, you can get a lot done today if you keep your
nose to that famed grindstone. A co-worker may be asking you to take on

friends if you did your share.

When Henri Matisse's

first shown at New York's
Museum of Modern Art in
1961, it was mistakenly
hung upside-down for a
month and half. I have
reason to believe that a
beautiful part of your
own world is similarly
inverted right now. Are
you perceptive enough to
spot the transposition?
Are you brave enough to
admit it and shrewd
enough to correct it? Or
is it so painful to deal
with this small mistake
that you'll allow it to

Week of August 13, 1998
According to my reading
of the astrological
vibes, you will laugh
more this week than you
have in many moons.
Harder and longer, too.
Contradictions that in
the past may have made
you grind your teeth will
now detonate your giggle
reflex. Awkward moments
which you might take too
seriously at any other
time will seem like
entertaining slapstick.
And then there's the fact
that life in your
vicinity is just going to
be a lot funnier than
usual. This could seem
inconvenient, I suppose.
What if you're convulsed
with guffaws at a moment
when you want to show how
serious you can be? My
advice is to avoid all
situations that would
require you to be sober
and dignified. Give
yourself the luxury of
surrendering to the
divine heehaw as much as
possible.

The Nyanja tribe of Malawi has a proverb which roughly translated reads, "If you should find the residents of a place frying their eyes, fry yours also." But I'd like to offer you a healthier alternative which will be just as effective for your needs this week, and far less costly. It's this Moroccan proverb: "If you find the residents of a place

While I'm sorry about the two of you feeling a bit down today, it is comforting to know we have men here who show all the signs of non-jerkiness. Only people with not-too-big egos ever doubt themselves/what they are doing/where they're going. I find it attractive in the sense that it's such a human thing to do. It shows that you care about what you are, and how you're getting on with your life and the people in it. It's when you stop caring that you should get really really worried. The important th
ng is not only to listen to oneself, but also to the people who love you. Ask them too what they think, where they think you're going, whether what you're doing is worth while - I think that often the people who love us are better able to see the good in what we do than we can ourselves.
It's funny, you know.
When I read your and Wer's, and Ray's, and Wolf's and Autumn's, and everyone elses posts, I always think: wow, these people have done so much, have achieved so much, their path ahead is so well lit and certain. Why is it not the same with me? And then there comes a post like Ray's this morning, and I realize with a smile: we probably all think the same thing about each other! It's just nice to find out every once in a while.
BIG HUG
As far as the video is concerned - I'll do it, but you will be mega dissappointed, I'm sure, so be warned. My 'studio' is VERY VERY MESSY, and will shatter every romantic view everyone has ever had about artists' studios. Mine contains books, my hi-fi, more books, two pianos, the computer, pictures, vandalized canvasses - stuff like that. Nothing of the white and smart look, and I stand my canvasses on a stool, not necessarily the easel - but that's the way I like it, and I'm not changing it. So if it
s not what you had in mind, I'll save you the trouble.
Also, can I just send you the original little cassette? Because if I convert it onto video, it'll be PAL VHS, and I know you use NTSCH or whatever in America. Is that a problem?

It seems that many are listening to what you have to say, and you feel perfectly assured. This is a great day to communicate, so plan to make speeches and presentations.
Hmm, first thing when I came to work I was heavy into communicating with everyone on my project today. Anyone out here I don't know yet? If there is, let's talk!

InfoSpace Horoscopes
Sagittarius
A day for drama and action. You may discover something new today which you will want to know more about. Alternately, you could meet a person in an unlikely way, a person who will soon become vital to your life. Don't pass up any opportunities to get out and meet people. Attend all parties, particularly dinner parties, and speak up at meetings. Sagittarius is the true pioneer of the zodiac, and you will be no exception. Those dreams you've been harboring for a while could be just about ready to come true
- if you have the guts to try, that is.

Cancer's for today:
The two themes that are likely to be important in the short-term future
are those of children and having a good time. We hope that these two are
compatible.

not sure...gotta work Halloween, anyway...
Today's:
You're in the mood for fun and adventure, but those close to home won't
appreciate your apparently selfish actions. A money worry may emerge
today which will do little to encourage domestic harmony. Very little
can be resolved, so wait until this stellar influence passes.

Today's for Cancer...
Lofty values have no place in today's rather disappointing stars. You may
feel you have been let down by colleagues who do not share your ideals.
Perhaps you're feeling moody and distrustful...however, there is probably
a good reason for this.

Today's for Cancer:
The Full Moon could make you feel tense and it could also bring you an
unexpected expense which, when you come to think of it, is probably only
to be expected. The best thing to do today is to jog along as usual and
don't get caught up in anyone else's bad mood.

Cancer's for Friday the 13th...
Many of your convictions have gone through profound changes since
Jupiter went retrograde. Today, the giant planet resumes its direct
course and you can take stock of the situation. A lot of confusion
will now be resolved and you may feel that your luck improves as
your mind clears.

Cancer's for Thanksgiving:
There could be good things going on in connection with work or business
today. Other people may come up with money-making schemes that are worth
investigating. This may lead to some kind of working partnership that
will stand the test of time. This may not affect you directly, but could,
for example, apply to your partner.
And for Friday:
Neptune's entry into one of the deepest and most secret areas of your
horoscope emphasises parts of your complex mind that you scarcely knew
existed. Many of you may have psychic or spiritual experiences in the
coming months.

Gemini for this beautiful Thanksgiving Day (according to the Times):
Make calls in the morning; reach out for family and friends. You bring happiness
into other people's lives. Wherever you are, be the lead player. Others look to you for
different ways to solve problems. Tonight: Head cheerleader!

Cancer's today:
Close emotional links will flourish now as Venus, planet of love,
enters your horoscopic area of partnerships. If you're in any doubt
about your relationship then this is the time to show your affection
in no uncertain terms. In more practical concerns Venus adds goodwill
in business dealings, while the next few weeks could see the transformation
of a rival in commerce or love to an ally and friend. Those who are
single may find the man or woman of their dreams.

Cancer's today:
A sudden declaration of love is not unlikely today. Emotions are very close
to the surface, and no matter how you repress them, they are still likely
to bubble over into the many areas of your life. Apart from the physical
aspect, you'll experience deep spiritual desire.

all i know is my aries daughter is a go-getter. she is a mother-hen, bossy, and so sweet that it's unbelievable. my son, the gemini, is shy, has problems doing one thing at a time (typical of us) and butts heads with me (another gemini); however, my kids do fine together. which explains why my daughter and i are close and my son and i are not. AND why my daughter and son are close. now my husband is like a fish out of water--he's a pisces.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)
Week of January 7, 1999
The ancient Greek word klimax had several meanings. My favorite: a
ladder to heaven by which a dreamer's soul arrived at an erotic tryst
with a divine being who imparted precious secrets. I bring this up,
Cancerian, because I believe the fates will bestow the gift of a klimax
on you this week. I hope you'll keep a pen and notebook by your bed so
you can scribble down a record of your electrifying rendezvous right
after it occurs. I swear it'll become a metaphorical talisman for you,
the symbol of a new chapter in your mythic quest for intriguing love.

My 'scope says, there's a dark beer awaiting me at superstar's office in Frankfurt, well - you'd guess it's a very unhip bar, but it's my home away from home.
And: that beer'll be used to wash down something that proprietor cooked up...
