Well, what is it and who sings it?
~riette #1
Need to think about that one . . . give it some time.
~KitchenManager #2
"Conjunction Junction" by School House Rock
~riette #3
'Fly up to the moon' - Black.
~stacey #4
gotta vote for SchoolHouse Rock! I'll listen to the tape on my way to work as a show of alliance (and to sing along!)
~riette #5
Never heard it - what kind of music is it? Pop? Rock? Techno? (hudderrrr. . .)
~stacey #6
More like Saturday morning cartoon singsong animation from the 70s and early 80s... intentionally catchy tunage to get through an educational message. (wow, SHR is HARD to explain, it's always been a stardard to which other educational 'programs' were compared to for me!)
~Wolf #7
hey, didn't they do "the bill"?
~KitchenManager #8
yep...
~Wolf #9
saw that thing the other day and about fell out....
~riette #10
Listening, trying to make sense, developing a nervous twitch
~autumn #11
It's musical cartoons about educational stuff, like how a bill becomes a law, and how grammar works ("Conjunction junction, what's your function?" is my all-time personal favorite). It's the kind of stuff you'd see on "Sesame Street" now, except at the time it was ground-breaking.
~riette #12
OH, I see. I adore Sesame Street when I was young.
~riette #13
D@mn! My typing is appaling with this half broken front paw . . . only another two weeks, and the plaster will come off. Thank God. No more balcony jumping in the near future I hope!
~KitchenManager #14
I wonder if Alexander knows about this topic...hmmm...
~autumn #15
Is he a gen-Xer? I have no idea. He's so hip!
~KitchenManager #16
don't know about that, but he is a music guy...
~autumn #17
Then he's hep!
~KitchenManager #18
what is it with you and sax, Autumn?
~autumn #19
I watch far too much TV...
~KitchenManager #20
and therefore, too much sax or not enough sax?
~autumn #21
The sax is the thing.
