I don't know why the Quarterdeck mpkernel.exe seems to have disappeared.
It was the most user-friendly tool I had seen in the way of a WINSOCK.
The Location Manager is even today smarter than most. The Microsoft
Dialer won't let me correctly select a 10-digit local call. The Quarterdeck
dialer does, via the override feature.
As for reliability, I have had Trumpet crash on me 5 times in a week
while I have NEVER had mpkernel drop out.
Does anyone know how to get it Netscape 3.0 to work with it ?
Or is it doomed to failure ?
