Formula One/NET Plug-in for Netscape 2.0 -- Like so many other plug-in clients, Formula One/NET delivers the unprecedented -- this time it's inline spreadsheet capabilities for your web browser. While not nearly as advanced as standalone spreadsheet clients like Excel and Quattro Pro, Formula One offers a powerful interface with a solid set of features. The plug-in capabilities give users the opportunity to view and edit spreadsheets from within the Netscape browser, but the real work for creating a Formula One spreadsheet or chart is handled by the external Workbook Designer client. This shareware app allows you to enter standard data, draw figures and shapes, insert charts, add buttons and drop-down listboxes, and print out spreadsheets. With the add-on client, Formula One/NET Charts (502 Kb), embedded graphs, charts, and illustrated tables are all made available to Formula One users. Overall, for anyone with the need to view or host spreadsheets on the web, Formula One/NET should definitely be your client of choice. Pros: The only app available for viewing and editing inline spreadsheets on the web Cons: Feature set is not as strong as those of standalone spreadsheet apps New: This is the initial review of Formula One/NET Version Reviewed: 3.x - Beta 1. 95 - Beta 5 Date of Review: 12/20/95 Reviewer: Forrest Stroud apps conference Main Menu
