WinTalk -- Text-based one-to-one communication has been made simple by Elf Communications' Win Talk. A hotlist of commonly called users can be set up for quick access. The registered version also includes Call Screening and Call Answering. For users without soundcards, mics, and the eight megs or so of RAM needed to run voice conversations over the internet, Win Talk is definitely the next best thing. Pros: Quick and easy text-based conversation possible Cons: Only allows for text-based conversation -- no voice communication New: 16-bit and 32-bit versions packaged together, bug fixes Version Reviewed: 1.26 Official Release Date of Review: 3/23/96 Reviewer: Forrest Stroud Entered 7/7/96

WinTalks addressing is strange. Having to know the person's dynamic address is a bit of a pain. Works great once you are connected but getting connected is the difficult part. If you know something I don't please tell me. Thanks, Randy

Hi Terry, I'm from Germany and I'm living in Essen, it's just in the center of Germany and the sixth biggest town here. Do you ever heard about it? Where are you from?

Austin, Texas, the 20th biggestest town in the US. But known much more for the quality of life than for the size. We shudder at these new population numbers sometimes.
