does anyone know anything about international import/export laws, tariffs, or taxes?
~riette Thu, Sep 10, 1998 (02:06) #102
Oh, that crap will work itself out - we'll find out about that when the time comes. First we have to design the page TOGETHER, design it in such a way that people won't possibly be able to pass it by. In the meantime I will have all my paintings photographed professionally. As far as prices are concerned - I thought you guys could keep an eye out, get a rough idea in your local art shops/galleries of how much materials and actual paintings cost. I know about the prices over here, and we'll come up wi h something REASONABLE inbetween. Shipping costs will vary with each country, so we include, not the highest, but among the highest of tarrifs. When I shop over the internet, I prefer having everything included.way. So, where do we go from here?

ok, so now we're talking, what, small business? terry, we will need your help in that aspect because i know that i haven't a clue. and yes, i think we need to open our own topic to discuss this whole thing and have it like wer's sanctum where only a selected few get in. also, i think it would be a good idea to do some conferencing so we can brainstorm at one time. i know msn has a conferencing deal. any ideas?
~KitchenManager Thu, Sep 10, 1998 (09:59) #104
yeah, I'll be back later...
~riette Thu, Sep 10, 1998 (10:00) #105
OOh, that commanding tone!!! Music to the ears! I'll open a topic in Arts for us to discuss it in until we can get into sanctum mode! Wer, Terry, any way in which we can make that specific topic just for those who want to take part?
~KitchenManager Thu, Sep 10, 1998 (17:07) #106
nope, can't have a "private" topic in a non-private conf... Riette, are you using your "web space" on here? If not, I think that's where I'm gonna set up the stuff to work on...
~terry Thu, Sep 10, 1998 (18:24) #107
Excellent idea!
~riette Fri, Sep 11, 1998 (01:36) #108
I've got WEB SPACE on here????? Where???? But if I do, that's a great idea - how will we get to see it though, because I don't know what this web space is called or anything!

Oh, cool!! And this is where we're going to do the design work for the gallery - a sort of test site for the real thing?
~KitchenManager Fri, Sep 11, 1998 (14:40) #111
um, as far as I know...is that okay?
~riette Sat, Sep 12, 1998 (02:33) #112
Yep, that sounds great! AT least my 'web space' will be used!
~terry Sun, Sep 13, 1998 (12:50) #113
wer, do you know how to set up a dedicated web site?
~KitchenManager Mon, Sep 14, 1998 (00:51) #114
nope...but, I am willing to learn...
~riette Mon, Sep 14, 1998 (14:06) #115
A dedicated web site! What could that be?
~terry Tue, Sep 15, 1998 (02:01) #116
A website with its own domain name, like the one you're about to embark upon.
~riette Tue, Sep 15, 1998 (04:43) #117
Oh! Cool! Right?
~riette Tue, Sep 15, 1998 (04:44) #118
Have you been well, Terry? Probably, hey? You don't really seem to go through the ups and downs the rest of us experience - or perhaps you're just less dramatic about it than I am.
~terry Tue, Sep 15, 1998 (07:08) #119
I'm well. Just been wrapped up in a time consuming work project. And managing three houes.
~riette Tue, Sep 15, 1998 (08:03) #120
Good. I thought you've been a bit quiet recently - now I know why.
