Wer, get that puppy outta here - think Wolf wants to have him for dinner . . .
~stacey Tue, Jun 30, 1998 (20:04) #102
or mate with him (!?!?!)
~Wolf Tue, Jun 30, 1998 (23:20) #103
now that would be too low even for a big bad ole wolf like me. he's way tooooooo young, oh but he's fresh meat...hmmmm, no he's too darn cute.....
~KitchenManager Tue, Jun 30, 1998 (23:41) #104
all the better for eating, right?
~Wolf Tue, Jun 30, 1998 (23:43) #105
*lol*
~riette Wed, Jul 1, 1998 (05:20) #106
I'd love to rescue the poor little dear from you, but then he might have the little guinea pigs for dinner, and they're so sweet. They're sitting on my lap, sharing my cherries . . . more competition. Sigh.
~KitchenManager Mon, Jul 13, 1998 (01:26) #107
Monday the 13th's... My, you are in a restless mood today! If you can jump on a plane, leave the country and escape to a deserted beach, then do it! If, like the majority of people, you can only dream of such things, then take a mooch around your local travel agent and see what's on offer for later in the year. Your energy levels are high and you are keen to discover potential in other realms of life, too.
~riette Mon, Jul 13, 1998 (02:31) #108
OH, no need to spend a $hitload of money, Wer, you can stay in my flat on the desert beach - you'll love it! Go on, take that holiday, get on that plane, leave your kitchen at home and eat out in a place where one can actually afford it!
~wolf Mon, Jul 13, 1998 (21:02) #109
(and bring your spear) just kidding, riette! mr wolf and i joke about this when we go out to dinner and it takes absolutely forever for them to bring the entree. we say, what, did they have to catch the fish, kill the cow, or whatever fits the situation. my horrorscope said something like i've got too many fires burning and that i should keep my big mouth shut.
~riette Tue, Jul 14, 1998 (02:12) #110
OH, you're absolutely right, Wolf! Going out to dinner can take anything from two to six hours . . . It's a lazy, layed-back place where no-one gets impatient, everyone has time - that's what I love about it. It's such an easy, mellow pace to adapt to. Sometimes when evening comes, you think to yourself: now what have I done today? And the answer is: had breakfeast till 19:00.
~KitchenManager Wed, Jul 15, 1998 (22:27) #111
Tomorrow's... This is a good day to look forward rather than back, and to try to make a better future for ourselves and our children. Long- term plans of any kind will be successful, but start work on them now.
~riette Thu, Jul 16, 1998 (02:02) #112
OOh, that's deep. It is also from Bjrn's guide to Philosophy - THE ESSAYS . . .
~KitchenManager Sat, Aug 1, 1998 (00:50) #113
Saturday, August the First's: Today you seem to be in a party mood, and you'd far rather be happily engaged in stimulating conversation with your friends than getting on with your daily tasks. Unfortunately some things cannot be put off, but we think we can guarantee an enjoyable evening!
~terry Sat, Aug 1, 1998 (07:12) #114
From the Microsoft page Infospace Horoscope: InfoSpace Horoscopes Sagittarius Even the tame and sober might be feeling all partied out. The Scorpio Moon fills you with exhaustion and vague dissatisfaction. Take a rest or just move slowly. There's no reason to push yourself right now.
~autumn Sun, Aug 2, 1998 (19:16) #115
That sums my personal philosophy.
~terry Wed, Aug 5, 1998 (05:30) #116
And today we have: Economize in the nonessential areas of your daily life. It's hard to look at other people and not attempt to guess at their net worth. Call in your debts today, especially those that are past due. Guess I gotta pay some bills today. I knew that. And I have four rentors past due. And I have to pay our Internet access bill that's due every quarter ($1299).
~KitchenManager Wed, Aug 5, 1998 (09:31) #117
and mine says: The conjunction of Venus and Mars in your area of personality makes sexual attraction a real possibility today. The combination of the two foremost male and female planets must spell love, or at least powerful infatuation. Only time will tell if this is going to be a lasting influence in your life, but at least it's fun while it's here! (and I'm going to the coast for three days here in a minute...)
~riette Wed, Aug 5, 1998 (14:02) #118
Perhaps that means your wife's going to put on some skimpy bikini, and you'll be infatuated with her all over and ever anew again.
~stacey Thu, Aug 6, 1998 (15:06) #119
How was the coast?!?! The ONLY problem with Colorado... completely landlocked!
~riette Thu, Aug 6, 1998 (17:21) #120
Are there no lakes there?
~stacey Thu, Aug 6, 1998 (17:51) #121
plenty of lakes but no beaches... interesting fact... Colorado is one of only two state in the US where water flows out of but not into! (Hawaii is the other one)
~riette Fri, Aug 7, 1998 (01:54) #122
How very strange. And you live in this Colorado place?
~stacey Sat, Aug 8, 1998 (17:49) #123
*smile* yep. The state is at a rather high elevation all around and so all the water flows down from the mountains, into our lakes and streams and then out to other (lower altitude) states...
~KitchenManager Sun, Aug 9, 1998 (00:55) #124
Sunday's: You may find yourself having to face the sad fact that not everyone thinks in the same way as you. Your philosophy of life is very personal and it may not be anywhere near the views of those whom you live or work amongst.
~terry Sun, Aug 9, 1998 (01:59) #125
I was going to get mine from http://home.microsoft.com but all I get is: Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01f4' Variable is undefined: 'TimeDifs' /Default.asp, line 572 Talk about a HorrorScope.
~terry Sun, Aug 9, 1998 (02:01) #126
So I went to InfoSpace and they still had yesterday's: Sagittarius August 8, 1998 A great day for communicating your ideas and opinions to others; when even those who consider themselves superiors will be hanging on your every word and asking you for input. You may even surprise yourself with some original thought or plan which you did n't know you had in you. You have a visionary zeal about you today which will make everyone around you sit up and take notice. Others will appreciate what you have to say. A parent or child could seek you out to have a private talk, try not to be surprise by any revelations. And Sunday's: Your genius is matched only by your spaciness. People find you funny without necessarily understanding a word you say. Get others to tell you their stories so you can pick and choose the best and increase your repertoire. At a certain level, all experience is connected, so keep your eye on the other members of your group when making plans. Expand your horizons by taking on something new; a dance class, a computer program, or a new artistic means of expression. Learn from other people's mistakes.

~riette Sun, Aug 9, 1998 (02:33) #129
HA-HA!!! Your day sounds more and more like a default to me!
~terry Sun, Aug 9, 1998 (08:40) #130
I'm starting out my day with a dance class today.
~riette Sun, Aug 9, 1998 (09:02) #131
A dance class!! What type of dancing? Sounds like a nice way to start a default day.
~terry Mon, Aug 10, 1998 (07:50) #132
It is. It's called Body Choir.
~riette Mon, Aug 10, 1998 (09:12) #133
Never heard of that. How does it work? Something to do with getting all your body parts to sing together?
~terry Mon, Aug 10, 1998 (12:32) #134
You're on track. A lot of the dancers their are into Gabrielle Roth. It's free movement, a lot of body contact, intimacy, and warm, good vibes.
~riette Mon, Aug 10, 1998 (14:30) #135
Cool! So you get to feel your partners' thighs while pretending to dance - no wonder you're so keen on these classes!
~terry Mon, Aug 10, 1998 (14:49) #136
Most perceptive, Riette. Today's ... You won't get very far without the support of friends or family, so don't leave behind the people that you love. Someone else's reality becomes far more important than your dream. Remind yourself who you're working for. What once seemed like a short haul is now an impossible distance. Can you still make the trek? Actively listen to the metaphors of great literature and the moral of every story and consider how these lessons can be applied to your own life. Look for lost items in the most obvious places.
~riette Mon, Aug 10, 1998 (17:00) #137
I'll go look under the bed for my missing necklace then.
~KitchenManager Tue, Aug 11, 1998 (00:30) #138
whose bed? Tuesday's... It can't fail to be a lucky day when there's such an excellent angle between Jupiter and Venus. These two planets cast their helpful influence over travel and create a deepening of understanding. A love affair that starts now has the most favourable chances. Be adventurous and get out into the world - there's nothing to fear.
~riette Tue, Aug 11, 1998 (01:28) #139
Except if you're married!
~terry Tue, Aug 11, 1998 (07:22) #140
What did you say your sign was, Riette. (thinking ree head' now!)
~riette Tue, Aug 11, 1998 (07:41) #141
No idea, Terry! But my birthday is 9 December1973 - what does that make me?
~terry Tue, Aug 11, 1998 (08:01) #142
You're a Sagitarius, just like me. So the horrorscopes that I post apply to you as well. Ready for another one?
~riette Tue, Aug 11, 1998 (11:26) #143
Of course yes!!! What does a Sagitarius do? On the little pictures, I mean. Which one is it?
~terry Tue, Aug 11, 1998 (12:48) #144
You are on fire, and you are in no hurry to extinguish it. Lust and inspiration turn your life into an almost unbearable sensory feast. Naked desire appears on the faces of strangers. You are dangerous and happy to make the first move and the second. Getting a lot done in a little bit of time is your specialty. Romantic interludes and creative fun and energy are positively spinning out of control. A special bonus or won contest may grace you with a bit of luck.
~riette Tue, Aug 11, 1998 (13:54) #145
That doesn't sound like me at all.... Would you like to go for a roll in the hay? BIG SMILE
~autumn Tue, Aug 11, 1998 (16:49) #146
I think Sagittarius is an archer...
~KitchenManager Tue, Aug 11, 1998 (17:56) #147
usuall depicted as a centaur, as well...
~wolf Tue, Aug 11, 1998 (19:10) #148
alright, are there any luny geminis out there? or am i the only one? (oh, but i won't be alone seeing as how i'm a "twin")
~terry Wed, Aug 12, 1998 (01:10) #149
I'd have to say I had an engaging time with a very good woman friend tonight. We went to see the new Gary Sinese and Nicholas Cage movie. It was a good night. Now, let's see what's in store for us Sag's tomorrow, Riette. Your mood is an inspiration to children. Adulthood doesn't have to be a boring proposition after all. Playing games is research and development in its purest form. Delight your childish side with something silly, like a giant bouquet of balloons. Borrow someone else's children for an outing to the zoo or the playground, followed, of course, by ice cream afterward. A bit of unplanned travel may be dropping some getaway tickets into your hands at some point.
~riette Wed, Aug 12, 1998 (01:31) #150
I'm sure that is absolutely accurate in your case, Terry! And in mine, well: no way, Jos! Only travelling I'm doing is to stick the poor kids into their playgroup, so I can work. Sigh. But we had yesterday together, and while there were no bouquets of balloons, we each had a mountain of ice cream in town. (It's damned hot over here.) Glad you had such a nice time last night, Terry. She's a lucky girl, I think.
~terry Wed, Aug 12, 1998 (13:19) #151
I'm a lucky guy. Haven't found any loaner children yet, just working away!
~riette Wed, Aug 12, 1998 (13:47) #152
Perhaps tomorrow's horrorscope will be more accurate. And a horror-scope it's going to be: Elza and I have to have some stiches removed from her forehead and my finger.
~KitchenManager Wed, Aug 12, 1998 (16:51) #153
Wednesday's: Your status is about to be hiked up to fresh heights. You may be on the point of being promoted at work or gaining recognition in some other sphere of life. Even within the family, you could start to be seen as a person of substance and importance. Nice change for the better, isn't it?
~riette Wed, Aug 12, 1998 (17:13) #154
ha-ha!!! THat's hilarious! To be seen within the family as a person of substance and importance; when my kids see me, all their little eyes say, is: FEED US!!!
~terry Wed, Aug 12, 1998 (17:49) #155
They see you as a person with important food substances!
~riette Thu, Aug 13, 1998 (01:31) #156
Yep, that's me! Food Factory Walton's the name! So what will today bring for us, Terry? Did you go to the movies again last night?
~terry Thu, Aug 13, 1998 (10:40) #157
No movies last night. I had several meetings with prospective room mates. A lady from Japan and another from Morrocco. Todays: Sagittarius You probably had very vivid dreams last night and you're still feeling a bit dreamy. Your energy will be high today but there may be something which is not quite right -- something you cannot put your finger on. Keep busy and it will pass. Try to bury your head in the sand, or, failing that, in work. In fact, you can get a lot done today if you keep your nose to that famed grindstone. A co-worker may be asking you to take on part of an onerous task; it's not your job but you could make a few friends if you did your share.
~riette Thu, Aug 13, 1998 (10:56) #158
You only consider ladies for room mates? Clever man! Hmm - horroscope not too far off. I did have weird dreams last night, which left me tired, and a bit out of sorts today. Started a new picture, but I'm unhappy with it, yet don't want to just throw away a brand new canvas. What a pain. At least I managed to post a picture in art - what a cheering thought! HURRAH!! And is your day going according to the stars?
~terry Thu, Aug 13, 1998 (12:31) #159
Pretty good, I'm plugging away. And don't forget those quotes around your url's.
~riette Thu, Aug 13, 1998 (13:50) #160
Quotes around my url's? Which quotes? I'll probably find out in art.
~terry Thu, Aug 13, 1998 (15:07) #161
The quotes before http and at the end of the url before the closing angle bracket.
~KitchenManager Thu, Aug 13, 1998 (16:03) #162
Thursday's: The entry of Venus into its natural home will do your financial fortunes the world of good over the next couple of weeks. This is the start of a profitable time in which money will come to you more easily. The true value of things also becomes an issue now, and you'll realise that quality of life is equally as important as making cash. You'll desire tasteful surroundings and comfort while Venus remains in your house of possessions.
~KitchenManager Thu, Aug 13, 1998 (16:07) #163
http://www.RealAstrology.com/ gives Cancer this one for the Week of August 13, 1998 When Henri Matisse's painting "Le Bateau" was first shown at New York's Museum of Modern Art in 1961, it was mistakenly hung upside-down for a month and half. I have reason to believe that a beautiful part of your own world is similarly inverted right now. Are you perceptive enough to spot the transposition? Are you brave enough to admit it and shrewd enough to correct it? Or is it so painful to deal with this small mistake that you'll allow it to mushroom into a gaping, long-term error?
~KitchenManager Thu, Aug 13, 1998 (16:09) #164
http://www.RealAstrology.com/ also says for SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22-Dec 21) Week of August 13, 1998 According to my reading of the astrological vibes, you will laugh more this week than you have in many moons. Harder and longer, too. Contradictions that in the past may have made you grind your teeth will now detonate your giggle reflex. Awkward moments which you might take too seriously at any other time will seem like entertaining slapstick. And then there's the fact that life in your vicinity is just going to be a lot funnier than usual. This could seem inconvenient, I suppose. What if you're convulsed with guffaws at a moment when you want to show how serious you can be? My advice is to avoid all situations that would require you to be sober and dignified. Give yourself the luxury of surrendering to the divine heehaw as much as possible.
~riette Fri, Aug 14, 1998 (02:05) #165
Waaa-haaa-haaa!!!! Ha-ha!!! Giggle giggle. GUFFFFFFFAAAWWWW! hee-hee-hee Hoo-hoo-hoo- BBBBBAAAAAAAA!!!!!
~KitchenManager Fri, Aug 14, 1998 (11:43) #166
Friday's: Today's excellent conjunction of the happy-go-lucky Sun and practical, business-minded Mercury brings a number of offers and opportunities which will lead to more money coming your way. You could have a great business idea which is well worth developing. If you have had any disagreements with others lately, you will find it easier to communicate your needs.
~KitchenManager Sat, Aug 15, 1998 (00:15) #167
Saturday's: Some areas of your life will tend to slow down, while in other areas you'll be taking on more responsibility. You may find yourself in charge of some kind of project at work or running a social group. If you have to guide and influence others now, you may have to do so the hard way - by putting your foot down.
~riette Sat, Aug 15, 1998 (01:30) #168
Does smacking baby buttocks count as putting one's foot down?
~terry Sat, Aug 15, 1998 (23:12) #169
Which sign are you posting, wer?
~KitchenManager Sun, Aug 16, 1998 (01:29) #170
mine, Cancer...
~riette Sun, Aug 16, 1998 (01:31) #171
I still put my foot down over cupboard trashing yesterday!
~terry Sun, Aug 16, 1998 (23:17) #172
InfoSpace Horoscopes Sagittarius This is a day to make promises of love, loyalty, or intent. Sign all contracts and commit to something that has tremendous payoff. Do not speak without thinking or act without adequate preparation. A sincere smile and a direct gaze go a long way toward helping your cause. Rather than trying to impress people with stories about your greatness, take an interest in themselves and their abilities. Feel confident that you can rely on your partner, either in your personal life or in the workplace.
~terry Sun, Aug 16, 1998 (23:20) #173
And for Monday, August 17, 1998 Sagittarius Don't bother buying a lottery ticket today -- there are better days to win. In fact, your luck isn't exactly in today at all. Finances don't seem so bright today, so focus your mind on creating better systems at work. Try to streamline your tasks, and if necessary, bring in some help for your tougher jobs. There may be someone in your office who's just dying to win the extra prestige that a big job could garner so don't be selfish about giving someone else a chance. You may be questioning the ethics of someone close to you.
~autumn Mon, Aug 17, 1998 (00:14) #174
Sounds like you'd be better off not even getting out of bed tomorrow...
~KitchenManager Mon, Aug 17, 1998 (00:28) #175
Sunday's: After a longish period of travelling retrograde, Pluto now moves to direct motion. This will help you make sense of a number of things that have been bothering you recently and then put them right. You may, for example, have been fighting against a confusing and worrying situation at work. Another possibility is that you've been feeling off-colour. Either way, improvements are on the horizon.
~KitchenManager Mon, Aug 17, 1998 (00:30) #176
Monday's: Money is coming your way! Of course, this will require some effort on your part, but once you see the potential of a new scheme you'll be chaffing at the bit to get started. A highly profitable period is forecast by today's aspect between Venus and Pluto.
~riette Mon, Aug 17, 1998 (01:28) #177
Boy, that sounds pretty awful for us, huh Terry? Have a feeling this isn't going to be our week!
~terry Mon, Aug 17, 1998 (08:20) #178
No, actually I have to streamline my tasks at work. That's a good one. You've got to take care of the good, the bad and the ugly. Gotta run to a dentist appt. now.
~riette Mon, Aug 17, 1998 (11:29) #179
Good think one can talk with one's FINGERS in here!
~wolf Mon, Aug 17, 1998 (22:11) #180
here's mine from that last place wer posted: GEMINI (May 21-June 20) Week of August 13, 1998 The Nyanja tribe of Malawi has a proverb which roughly translated reads, "If you should find the residents of a place frying their eyes, fry yours also." I guess that makes sense in some cases, especially if the eye-fryers have the power to make you so happy and rich that you don't mind being as blind as they are. But I'd like to offer you a healthier alternative which will be just as effective for your needs this week, and far less costly. It's this Moroccan proverb: "If you find the residents of a place worshipping a donkey, bring the beast some grass." OK, like this is so helpful. lemme try the other place *grin*
~wolf Mon, Aug 17, 1998 (22:12) #181
oh, hello! they were the same places. hmmmmm.....
~wolf Mon, Aug 17, 1998 (22:17) #182
from microsoft internet start You may feel overwhelmed today with lots of things happening but no clear place to start. Papers may pile up in your inbox at work, or you may receive a lot of bills at once and may wonder how you're going to handle all your expenses. It's important to take it easy and get organized first -- which may not be as simple as it sounds! Take note of how much you're making at work and where the money is being spent. Some of your expenses may surprise and dismay you -- it may be time to cut back on some luxuries okay now, this is more like my life (well, the overflowing in-box would be)
~KitchenManager Mon, Aug 17, 1998 (23:38) #183
Tuesday's: This is one of those peculiar days when the planets are not making any major aspects and where little is happening to your sign. The only thing to do under these circumstances is to stick closely to your usual routine and avoid starting anything important. Just do what you have to do, and take it easy.
~riette Tue, Aug 18, 1998 (01:36) #184
What are you, Wolf?
~terry Tue, Aug 18, 1998 (11:40) #185
Yep, please include the *sign* when you post a horrorificscope.
~wolf Tue, Aug 18, 1998 (13:09) #186
did in #180 (gemini)
~riette Tue, Aug 18, 1998 (14:00) #187
Sorry, Wolf - my mistake.
~terry Tue, Aug 18, 1998 (17:52) #188
The sign, boss. The sign.
~wolf Tue, Aug 18, 1998 (23:31) #189
am i missing something here? ok, next time i post the twin's horrorscope, i'll make sure you all know it's for da looney twins! *grin*
~riette Wed, Aug 19, 1998 (02:00) #190
Say what?
~terry Wed, Aug 19, 1998 (08:45) #191
Sag... Others may shrug at your personal triumph, but that doesn't mean you can't celebrate quietly. Just save your loud self-congratulations for something that will be better received. Your intense inward focus may puzzle co-workers and friends. Don't worry about it -- sometime they confuse you, too. Explore your moods before you try to express them to someone else. A philosophical question may distract you all day if you don't address it directly.
~riette Wed, Aug 19, 1998 (09:22) #192
Hmm....that's deep. Are you in a deep mood today, Terry? All I'm concentrating on is trying to do something RIGHT for a change.
~terry Wed, Aug 19, 1998 (11:15) #193
I'm immersed in deep thoughts. By the way, Riette, do you have a video camcorder?
~riette Wed, Aug 19, 1998 (11:35) #194
THAT'S your deep thought? Whether I have a video camera or not? No, no, no, YES. I believe I do.
~terry Wed, Aug 19, 1998 (12:08) #195
Can you send me a video of you in your art studio that I could put up on our website? Mostly deep thoughts about mission, purpose, I think ratthing got me started this morning when I read his post.
~riette Wed, Aug 19, 1998 (14:14) #196
While I'm sorry about the two of you feeling a bit down today, it is comforting to know we have men here who show all the signs of non-jerkiness. Only people with not-too-big egos ever doubt themselves/what they are doing/where they're going. I find it attractive in the sense that it's such a human thing to do. It shows that you care about what you are, and how you're getting on with your life and the people in it. It's when you stop caring that you should get really really worried. The important th ng is not only to listen to oneself, but also to the people who love you. Ask them too what they think, where they think you're going, whether what you're doing is worth while - I think that often the people who love us are better able to see the good in what we do than we can ourselves. It's funny, you know. When I read your and Wer's, and Ray's, and Wolf's and Autumn's, and everyone elses posts, I always think: wow, these people have done so much, have achieved so much, their path ahead is so well lit and certain. Why is it not the same with me? And then there comes a post like Ray's this morning, and I realize with a smile: we probably all think the same thing about each other! It's just nice to find out every once in a while. BIG HUG As far as the video is concerned - I'll do it, but you will be mega dissappointed, I'm sure, so be warned. My 'studio' is VERY VERY MESSY, and will shatter every romantic view everyone has ever had about artists' studios. Mine contains books, my hi-fi, more books, two pianos, the computer, pictures, vandalized canvasses - stuff like that. Nothing of the white and smart look, and I stand my canvasses on a stool, not necessarily the easel - but that's the way I like it, and I'm not changing it. So if it s not what you had in mind, I'll save you the trouble. Also, can I just send you the original little cassette? Because if I convert it onto video, it'll be PAL VHS, and I know you use NTSCH or whatever in America. Is that a problem?

Sure. Wow, that's great. Send the little casette and I'll convert it to VHS and play it on the website. Be sureto fill it with lots of talk and/or music or sounds but the sound tracks the big part of the videos we run. Wow, you'll do it, that's terrific. No limits on content, Riette.

i think it's awfully sweet of you to do that. i would be afraid if your studio was all crisp and white.

Be afraid anyway, Wolf.....be VERY afraid!!! You'll think me a real pig when you see my studio. If you guys want, I could also do you one of Zrich when I have a bit more time. It's really pretty.
