Come visit my little piece of cycling heaven. It'll be experiencling
growing pains for a while, but I am a web design virgin... hey! stop
laughing. I specified the kind of virgin ;-)
Any hoo... it'll be cycling, running, triathlon and of course personal
bits like photos and stuff.
Please sign the guestbook and tell me what you think. If you'd tell me who
you are (use spring handle for privacy) I'd appreciate it, so's I can
thank you properly.

Cool Gena! Austin's a big triathlon city. Down on Barton Springs road
there's a shop that specializes in triathlete supplies. I've been meaning
to go by there and see if there's a better wet suit for swimming than the
one I have which is for underwater diving. The shop is right down the
road from Barton Springs, where I'll start swimming as soon as it turns
from Summer to Winter. (no Fall exists in these parts).
This Saturday there's a True
Texan Triathlon in the wonderful area around Boerne Texas in the Hill
Country near here.
And "racing in costumer" on Oct 31 on Halloween in New Braunfels:

terry, check out
http://www.tri-zone.com as well. I get some great gear
from them.
We are in full blown Fall around Boston. It is gray and raw outside.
I hope all you Springers stop by my site!
I'll check out those links Terry. If they're annual events, I put them on
my race page.

I believe they are annual events. My cycling page is
http://touroftexas.com . . . still a developing concept.

Yeah, I saw it. For whats there, it's looking good. I think I already added it to my "Races & Tours" page. What are you looking to do with the site? Maybe I can be of service?
You should check out
bikeforums.net. You might want to peruse the content there (it's a HUGE cycling discussion forum) or even post a request for suggestions.
**if you get a chance can you email me answers re: my email to you on webspace et al. thanks

Great!
As to the Tour of Texas site; are you (or a rep from the Spring)on the organizing committee for the race?
As a cycling spectator I would recommend a site like Boston Marathon (
http://www.baa.org/BostonMarathon/)or NYC Marathon (
http://www.ingnycmarathon.org/)as a guide. Folks need to know race entry/qualification details, scheduling of events (inclusive of catagory breakdown if the race is open to amateurs), maps of stages with elevation, best places to spectate from, "do's and don'ts" of spectating... I could go on.
I am serious about helping out with the site if you'd like. It's right up my alley.

I set you up with that email. That's great that it's so up your alley. There's a lot of local organizing to do to get a race like this going in Texas. And it would have to be in the time slot after the Tour de France to avoid interfering with Lance's training schedule. This time of year would be perfect. The weather might not be so blistering. It would have to be scheduled around other major races.

Hey y'all!
I added another photo page to my site... it's my (steadily growing) jersey collection.
Stop by to check it out.
FYI, if you see any really cool jerseys out there (size men's small) let me know. P.S. not interested in any TDF jerseys... I'd feel really wierd wearing one of those as the chance of me climbing even one of those mountains is somewhere between 'You gotta be kidding' and 'No Way'.
