This topic will be used to cover all things claivoyant; channelling, deja vu, and all those other weird feelings you get.
~MarciaH Sun, Aug 1, 1999 (18:32) #1
Are you going to make a soothsaying one, or is that including in clairvoyance and channelling? And, did you tell roarke about it? Or...does she know without being told...?
~wolf Sun, Aug 1, 1999 (21:38) #2
i guess that would depend on how receptive she is *grin* there's one for soothsaying.....didja see it yet?
~MarciaH Sun, Aug 1, 1999 (22:43) #3
Indeed - been there and posted! That's the least I can do for my very special friend in paraspring =)
~aschuth Mon, Aug 2, 1999 (15:11) #4
Strange - I feel I have been here before...
~MarciaH Mon, Aug 2, 1999 (17:41) #5
*lol* Alexander...in another life, perhaps?
~wolf Mon, Aug 2, 1999 (19:08) #6
you know, when i experience deja vu, it seems long. and it's like i freeze and can't do anything because i know what's going to happen next. the first time i had a strong sense of deja vu i was 9 and almost missed my bus because i froze right there (and the deja vu had to do with the bus)....
~MarciaH Mon, Aug 2, 1999 (19:54) #7
How astonishing. Never had anything that strong...just the feeling I had seen the place before and never had been there before.
~wolf Mon, Aug 2, 1999 (21:32) #8
for me, it feels like i'm living the moment over again and i just know what everyone is going to say or what's going to happen. it's the strangest thing. now that i'm an adult, i just watch and wait. when i was a child, it was pretty frightening.
~MarciaH Mon, Aug 2, 1999 (22:04) #9
Do you have any sort of precursors or premonitions that this is about to happen?
~MarciaH Mon, Aug 2, 1999 (22:07) #10
Does the military make use of your foreknowledge?
~wolf Tue, Aug 3, 1999 (12:36) #11
haha!! sorry, perfectly good question, but i'm not seeing things ahead of time like esp or something. only during the episode of deja vu do i feel that way. can't predict when i'll have a deja vu. oh, and no the military does not take advantage of my deja vu!
~wolf Tue, Aug 3, 1999 (12:38) #12
oh, speaking of deja vu....there is a theory that one part of the brain is slower than the other...something about the reality sometimes has to catch up and you feel like you've done the thing before. i forget what it's called--the conscience mind and unconscience mind and i don't remember who is ahead of whom!
~MarciaH Tue, Aug 3, 1999 (12:47) #13
What do you know of the guys who remote view (that you can tell, that is) and can you do it?
~KitchenManager Tue, Aug 3, 1999 (13:00) #14
that's just a variation of out of body experiences, isn't it?
~MarciaH Tue, Aug 3, 1999 (13:03) #15
From what I have heard (Art Bell in the middle of the night) it is, but a very controlled one...
~wolf Tue, Aug 3, 1999 (14:21) #16
what the heck is remote view?
~ratthing Tue, Aug 3, 1999 (15:06) #17
oh SURE wolfie, we know you are in the military, so you MUST know what remote viewing is. ;) seriously, RV is the purported ability to see things happening hundreds of miles away. supposedly it involves leaving one's body and floating around somewhere else. the CIA spent a significant amount of time and money during the 50's working with persons who had this ability, asking them to look at russian military sites, offices, etc. you could prolly pull up a whole bunch of stuff on it by doing a search for "remote viewing" using your fave search engine.
~KitchenManager Tue, Aug 3, 1999 (15:11) #18
and I'm getting the impression that Ray is back amongst us!!!
~MarciaH Tue, Aug 3, 1999 (15:23) #19
Thanks for taking that, Ray. You did much better than I would have. (We missed you!)
~ratthing Tue, Aug 3, 1999 (15:27) #20
*sigh* i missed this place.
~wolf Tue, Aug 3, 1999 (17:23) #21
well i was gonna ask if it had to do with me sitting in one room while my spirit left and gone into the next room to see what was happening! i can't say i've ever experienced that. as i was driving home today and thinking about what you asked me, marcia, i have seen something happen before it really did. i was sitting at an intersection and saw the car across the way who wanted to cut across south bound lanes to get into north bound lanes. i wanted to get onto the road she was on (i was travelling northbound). both of us had to wait for traffic to clear (as there are no lights there). my mind's eye showed me this car cutting across and causing an accident. well, two seconds later, t is gal cut across, a car coming up behind me was hit and a car coming south was hit hard and sent through my path and across the north bound traffic into someone's front yard. he was the only guy hurt but not seriously (bruises from his airbag). i had the forethought (funny i should mention that) to scoot my car up a bit. and yes, i stayed to make sure no one was hurt and as a witness when the cops came. now if that isn't scary! i couldn't believe it. we all know about friendships and being able to know when to call and stuff, and that happens all the time. even my husband and i share this link where he could be across town and we both think of something for dinner and it turns out to be the same thing when we are back together and the subject comes up.
~wolf Tue, Aug 3, 1999 (17:23) #22
oh, and ray, i missed you too, hope things are well *hugs*
~MarciaH Tue, Aug 3, 1999 (18:02) #23
That is scary - I am not sure it is a blessing or not. I am totally without ESP or whatever...I am on my own, as it were, aside from gut feelings about people..
~RochelleW Thu, Sep 30, 1999 (11:40) #24
Hi, guys. Good topic. Wolf, sounds like you have the gift of precognition. Even if it was only a short time step forward, it's proven it's worth. You weren't hurt in that accident. Just be receptive to stuff that happens but do be careful who you tell. Some folks get all freaked out because gifts like these aren't admited to in people's religion of choice or think you're just plain ol' crazy. Also, liked the remote view term - never knew what to call that before. :-)
~riette Fri, Oct 1, 1999 (03:18) #25
Can you do any of this stuff, Rochelle? I can't do that remote-viewing thing. But one other thing that I get 'gut feelings' about is that sometimes I look into a person's face, and I get a weird feeling that they will be dead soon, or when it is a young person, I get the feeling that they are going to die very young. And it always proves to be correct if I keep in touch with the person or check the newspapers for their names.
~RochelleW Fri, Oct 1, 1999 (07:20) #26
Hi, Riette. I haven't done the remote viewing in several years but used to be able to. Since I have a "prove it" kind of attitude back when it first started I confirmed several viewings with friends who were physically at the viewed area at the time. When viewing I don't hear words and the images aren't like looking with your eyes. They're a bit fuzzy in some ways (auras maybe?) and crystal in others. When it first started, I was about 12 and had spirit guardians with me for protection. They actuall lead me on the journeys. As I got older, the guardians were fewer and I could do it at will. I think one of the reasons I haven't done it in years is that I'm afraid the psychic anchor that leads me back to my body may break. Plus I just haven't felt the urge or need for a long time.
~wolf Fri, Oct 1, 1999 (16:21) #27
plus, taking certain medications (not drugs) can degrade your ability to experience things like deja vu, dreams, etc.
~MarciaH Fri, Oct 1, 1999 (17:17) #28
Ree, I am not sure I would like to have precognition if I would know someone would die soon or young...there are just some things I do not need to know. I know we don't always have a choice - there are some who consider their "gifts" burdens!
~wolf Fri, Oct 1, 1999 (19:20) #29
definitely NOT posting my pic now!! *grin*
~MarciaH Fri, Oct 1, 1999 (20:04) #30
I agree with you on that...! *lol* Scary, huh?!
~wolf Fri, Oct 1, 1999 (20:29) #31
indeed!
~riette Sat, Oct 2, 1999 (03:06) #32
No, not at all scary. It is just something about the person's eyes. It is as if they recognize it themselves, not me. That's how I can see it - I don't sort of see them in an accident or being murdered or whatever. Just that recognition of what is going to happen to them in their own eyes.
~MarciaH Sat, Oct 2, 1999 (14:14) #33
Does it work with photographs or just with live people?
~wolf Sat, Oct 2, 1999 (15:07) #34
i can see a lot in a person's eyes, but not what will happen to them as a result of them reflecting it back to me. i also have a "nasty hands" thing. where i can't trust someone if their hands seem nasty to me (and not necessarily dirty hands)
~MarciaH Sat, Oct 2, 1999 (23:09) #35
Hmmm...most interesting...I get that feeling from just meeting some people. They make my flesh crawl and there is no apparent reason. I just know I do not want to know them any better...!
~riette Sun, Oct 3, 1999 (09:05) #36
Hands? I've never had that one, I must say. Marcia, I can't tell anything from photographs - I'm not psychic or anything. I guess I'm just sensitive to people's gazes. You know how they say that doctors can tell that people are sick, or even what illness they suffer from just by looking into their eyes? I guess it's the same thing. I think one can see when another person's eyes get ready to see beyond all this, that's all. I always wonder, though, if I'll be able to see it in my own eyes when the ime comes.
~MarciaH Sun, Oct 3, 1999 (22:44) #37
interesting thought about your own eyes. I can tell some very significant things from looking deeplu and intensely into certain people's eyes...*grin*
~riette Mon, Oct 4, 1999 (09:31) #38
Like whether they're wearing jewelry or not? grin
~MarciaH Tue, Oct 5, 1999 (19:16) #39
...that, too!
~aschuth Mon, Oct 18, 1999 (12:10) #40
I can tell from some people's eyes if their liver is damaged or not...
~MarciaH Mon, Oct 18, 1999 (20:16) #41
The "whites" of their eyes are Yellow? So can I...!
~aschuth Tue, Oct 19, 1999 (13:13) #42
Oh, you, too? Hey, more fun than their eye-colour is the way their blood looks...! That always gave me the creeps, I wondered how they could still be alive with that.
~Isabel Tue, Oct 19, 1999 (13:20) #43
So how does it look? YELLOW? ORANGE? (Haven't the slightest idea....)
~aschuth Tue, Oct 19, 1999 (13:27) #44
It's TWO colours...
~Isabel Tue, Oct 19, 1999 (13:39) #45
So tell me! I'm nosy - I love horror - go on ! Red with yellow spots?
~aschuth Tue, Oct 19, 1999 (13:53) #46
Yellowish-white with red globules in it... The red stuff is what transports oxygen around, right? And they have all this yellow goo in their veins, and so little red blood cells.
~Isabel Tue, Oct 19, 1999 (14:02) #47
Igitt! Where have you seen something like this?
~aschuth Tue, Oct 19, 1999 (16:20) #48
Worked in a hospital a couple years.
~riette Wed, Oct 20, 1999 (06:46) #49
Lots of goo and little oxygen - sums it up perfectly. A sort of spreading effect .... brrrr...
~wolf Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (15:07) #50
ok, something weird just happened, like 2 minutes ago....i heard my husband call my name as if he were outside. what's strange is that my husband is not home but at work. now i've heard my name called before (when no one's around)but never in his voice. this kinda freaks me out. will keep you updated......(and pray nothing terrible happened)
~sociolingo Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (15:16) #51
Hi, I'm just visiting! What's happened????????? You've got me worried now.
~MarciaH Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (15:24) #52
Please call him at work so we call all breathe out...this is more than a little scary. We are worried for you! *hugs*
~wolf Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (15:40) #53
i haven't heard anything from work and his line is busy. it wasn't a scary call, more like he needed me to give him a hand with something....thanks for worrying....will keep you posted.
~sociolingo Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (15:58) #54
Thank you, I can go to bed happy (ier) now. Good night
~wolf Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (16:03) #55
well, i called for him but where he works, it takes forever to find anyone. the person that answered the phone told me to hang on a sec and then never came back (probably forgot)....he works in a big bay like area and it can be hard to hear out there. plus, he's certifying someone tonight on a task. don't worry!
~MarciaH Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (16:04) #56
Ok, but let us know when you know he is ok. They are trolls sometimes, but they are OUR trolls...*hugs* Sweetie!
~wolf Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (16:07) #57
you got that right! and i will....
~MarciaH Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (17:19) #58
I'll be here pacing right along beside you! *hugs*
~wolf Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (19:24) #59
everybody can put their minds at ease. the AM just walked into the house not 5 minutes ago. i asked him if he was thinking about me around 3 and he said he heard that i had called and that's when he started thinking about me. maybe it was an angel and i should have answered.
~MarciaH Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (19:29) #60
It was and you did answer. That is what got him to thinking about you!!! I am sure this was a Very Good Thing!
~wolf Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (19:45) #61
i dunno, he didn't start thinking about me until after i called trying to check on him. he's home now, his guy did great on the task certification and he's happy.
~MarciaH Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (20:08) #62
Perhaps that was the impetus for him to think...your phone call which was caused by the voice which came from...?! Excellent about his certification, especially if he works for the same guys you do! *grin*
~sociolingo Sat, Mar 4, 2000 (06:47) #63
I'm relieved too. Who knows why??
~CherylB Mon, Mar 6, 2000 (16:33) #64
I don't know exactly how to phrase this story, but I'll give it a try. It is true and it did happen to me. For a few days before my father died, I would be awakened in the night be voices. The words were never clear, or if they were I forgot the words upon waking. The day he died, I was a awakened from sleep by hearing a voice call my name, very clearly and only once. I woke up, and for some reason checked the clock. It not quite 5:20 a.m. I was very calm, in fact, when I got up a little latter that morning, I felt almost europhic. Very happy, very much at peace. Until I got a call later in the day that my father had died of a massive coronary between 4:00 and 6:00 in the morning. It was so strange.
~sociolingo Mon, Mar 6, 2000 (16:41) #65
I was just about off to bed when I caught your posting, Cheryl. So I'll just make a quick reply (yes, Marcia, I really am going ......). Thanks for sharing your story with us. I can see how it would feel strange, but I'm not surprised by it. I think it shows the closeness you had with your father, and was his way of reaching out to you. I hope it gives you a comforting memory that he was at peace and wanted you to know it. Now I really am going to bed - good night.
~CherylB Mon, Mar 6, 2000 (16:45) #66
Thank you Maggie.
~wolf Mon, Mar 6, 2000 (18:26) #67
thank you, cheryl! g'night maggie...
~wolf Mon, May 15, 2000 (21:06) #68
i heard my name called today. this time by a co-worker who is also a friend of mine. he is out of state. it was so powerful, my gal pal heard it too. it was so convincing, i got up to look as it sounded like it was out in the hall. i would know that voice anywhere. haven't heard from him and don't have reason to worry. but it's curious, no?
~MarciaH Mon, May 15, 2000 (23:58) #69
Most interesting. I wish I knew what his voice sounded like so I would know if I ever heard it. But, not in this life time the way things are going.
