From memory...
Magnolia Cafe (warmth, comfort, eclectic and yummy)
Mars (spicy, romantic, delicious wine)
Dog&Duck Pub (friendly, low-key, outdoor patio and great beer)
Tiny Mexican dive on SOUTH, SOUTH Congress (cheap and delicious)
Kim Phung (best dang Vietnamese food this side of Ho Chi Minh and BYOB)
Martin Bros. (too chocked up to comment... *sob*)
Trudy's (great Sangrita swirls, lots of green chile and chipotle and fun)
Mezzaluna (excellent wine, appetizers and desserts)
Romeo's (relaxing, quiet, good pizza and good memories)
Little Italy (most irreverent chef *smile*)
Jazz on 6th (lassiez buon temps roulez!)
Kerbey Lane on Kerbey Lane (one of few places I'd wait an hour and a half for a table! Great grilled veggie sandwiches EXCELLENT Chipotle mayo!)
Korea House (delicious no frills sushi)
That place on East 26th with their own garden (Artihoke-chipotle enchiladas)
Landry's (decent food, great view good memories)

Weird. I would have thought that vegetarian would rank top. My sister says there are MANY MANY MANY strict vegetarians in America. She also says there are alot of obese people in America. That sort of puzzles me.

Both ends of the spectrum. The US is becoming a country of extremes, with less and less middle ground.

Guero's has moved up to the top spot on my chart, mostly for ambiance, it's in the middle of the near to town South Congress scene. The most "Austiny" part of town.
