I have been helping at the SeniorComp classes for about two years. I'm a novice at best with computers, although I have been trying to learn the computer for about six or seven years. The operating systems change so often it's difficult to keep up with them. I enjoy being a part of the SeniorComp. Getting to me all the great Instructors and Students is a bonus.

What fun! I have been involved with Seniorcomp for several years, first as a student then as a helper. If Joe is only a computer novice, then I am somewhere below him in knowledge. I am still using Windows 95 operating system. Ray,I did not have any problem following your instructions to log on to this web site. Thank you,Sarah

Hello everyone. I have been involved in Senior Comp for almost a year now. I assisted Les Hudson and then became an instructor and have taught about four classes now. I will begin teaching a beginners class next Tuesday, Feb 9th as well as a requested (by students) a three-week word processing class the same day as well. I really enjoy what little I do to help senior citizens become "friends" with their computers. It is a wonderful opportunity to make ten new friends as well as get to know the other
reat people (like Joe and other volunteers) who are associated with Senior Comp. I hope no one fell for the one Joe tried to pull over on everyone about being just barely more than a beginner. He has had some health problems and will not be able to help at the sessions for a while and I personally do not know how I will get along without him. We all wish him a speedy recovery.

Hi y'all! I took my first seniorcomp class under Bill McClusky out at Ft. Sam. After a horrifying experience in my nearest school district's adult ed. classes, I felt like I had fallen into heaven. It was so wonderful to have someone start with the most basic elements and yet I never felt talked down to. I learned so much and could not wait for my next class which was Beyond the Basics that started last June - after one meeting I had to drop the class and I am so glad now to be back in a class - Linda
s 3 wk. word processing. When I was working, everything was Dos and PCs weren't a household item, so it took a while before I got my first PC which had it's first birthday on 2/6/99. I quickly became a master at re-installing the OEM software and for a while thought that I was being mastered by the PC. Now I have had some successes and love it just like I always did.

I would like to say it is such a delight having Rose Lynn in the class that I am presenting. She is definitely going to be an advanced student. By the way--she is a REAL cowgirl!

Helloooo everyone. I finally made it here. I've been with SeniorComp 3 years (I think). I started as an assistant in two classes at Fort Sam then I taught Works for Windows which was later converted to Beyond the Basics. I've been on hold since we lost Fort Sam, but I'll be around the center on Saturdays.
By the way I'm almost a geek.
