Now that the centennary's over, the big news is that the Sportsters now have rubber-mounted engines. This should improve the ride without affecting handling much. If I had the money for a new Harley (I don't even have enough for a new Honda Nighthawk 250!) I'd buy a Sportster 1200 Roadster.
It's a pity that they discontinued the XL883R, though. Triple discs and a dual seat with a 883 on a standard Sportster chassis would definitely get my attention, and would probably get my money too, if I had any.
