QWS3270 Extra -- This client can be downloaded in two versions:
a $35 shareware version and a freeware version. The freeware
version is unsupported and lacks the development Jim Rymerson is
giving to the shareware "Extra" version. The freeware version lacks
extensive configurability but does include on-line help for
New users. The shareware version implements additional
configurability, including customizable screen, font, and default
settings. QWS 3270's strength lies in its support for IBM 3270 and
Tektronix 4010 terminal emulation. Like EWAN, QWS 3270 can't
run multiple sessions without reloading the program.
Pros: A solid client for IBM 3270 and Tektronix 4010 emulation
Cons: Can't run "multiple sessions" without reloading; Needs more
configurability
New: Window sizing and maximizing capabilities added, improved
performance, bug fixes
Version Reviewed: 2.4
