Craig's Connect Monitor -- Scott Craig's Communications Connect
Time Monitor (CCM) is another client that helps you keep track of
your time spent online. Unlike WS-Timer, CCM does so while
remaining at freeware status. CCM records time spent online to
date for both the current session and for all sessions since the last
reset.
It can also monitor multiple connections and can be configured to
automatically start on modem connection and stop on
disconnection. Start, stop, and warning sounds can also be
configured to alert you to current conditions. Additional features
include external program launching, summary reports, always on
top option, and a clipboard capture command. CCM also comes
complete with detailed and easy to use online documentation.
Separate versions of CCM are currently available for Windows 3.x
and Windows 95/NT. One feature absent in CCM is
cost-monitoring; only the time spent while connected is monitored.
While CCM does lack additional features like WS-Timer's
calculator and calendar utilities, its freeware status will likely earn it
many devout users.
Pros: Easy to use, helpful documentation, configurable time
settings, freeware
Cons: Lacks some of the features found in WS-Timer and other
timer clients
New: No obvious new features in the newest versions
Version Reviewed: Win 3.x - 2.8.6. Win 95 - 3.0.3
