EINet winWais -- WAIS clients are not used very often, and when
they are used, it usually through the web and not by an individual
client. However, EINet's winWais is an easy to use WAIS client
that has several useful features, including automatic installation and
solid on-line help documents. Also bundled with the client are two
graphics viewers -- gfxVIEW and winECJ. Users can also configure
their own viewers as well. The shareware version has a 30 day
evaluation and costs $35 to register.
Pros: Automatic installation and on-line help, integrated graphics
viewers
Cons: WAIS can be done for free on the web, $35 price tag is
slightly too steep
