Jumanji Pavilion -- Jumanji Pavilion is a cool new virtual world created for the AlphaWorld environment. Sony Pictures and Worlds, Inc. have partnered to deliver an extremely unique promo for Sony's new movie. Jumanji stars Robin Williams as Alan Parrish who, after 25 years, is finally freed from the spell of an ancient magical board game named Jumanji. Unfortunately, a group of wild exotic creatures from the game are also released with Alan, who is then forced into saving his old hometown from destruction. Catch it at a theater near you starting December 15th. As far as the AlphaWorld Jumanji Pavilion goes, you won't find an extensively designed world here, but you will find some cool web site links, sound clips from the movie, animated characters from the movie (I haven't had luck in finding them yet, though), other avatars exploring the world, and several secret rooms. All in all, quite a fun world to explore. The Jumanji Pavilion is actually a subset of the AlphaWorld environment, meaning that you'll need to have an existing copy of AlphaWorld on your machine before running Jumanji. Install the Jumanji file into the same directory as AlphaWorld and use the Jumanji icon to get and running in the pavilion. Pros: A cool new 3-Dimensional AlphaWorld world to explore, great sound clips Cons: Slow, the Jumanji Pavilion world is quite limited at this point in time New: This is the initial review for Jumanji Pavilion Version Reviewed: Beta 1 Date of Review: 12/1/95 Date Entered 7/7/96

Haven't heard much about this lately.

Never heard of it till I came in here to see what you posted. Never even heard much about the movie (cannot even remember it, actually...). Must not have been a memorable addition to our cultural heritage?!
