Generation X. Not me. It's about 60s born people. But it's also for
those younger and older than them, and those who love and hate them. And
for them themselves mostly.
I should dedicate this to the memory of the lost springeur, Melissa
Petrek, known in the parts in days of yore as suprnaut. One day she got
up and married and became Martha Stewart. But she sure did run one
helluva genx conference.
Any Melissa Petreks out there want to volunteer to host this conference.
It doesn't pay much, but the rewards get better if you can get some
chemistry going like Melissa did.
A moment of silence of the memory of Melissa please.

There were 64 topics in the orginal genx conference. nike was the last
person to post there on June 22, 1995. We ran caucus software back
then. No web interface. That came later when David Bluestein did a
redesign.

And now, for the original topic list:
THE "OK" MANIFESTO
1. What's the point of "OK"? Well, what's the point of anything?
2. The better you understand something, the more OK it turns out to be.
3. "OK" emphatically rejects anything that is not OK, and fully supports
any
-thing that is.
4. "OK" may be the preferred drink of other people such as yourself.
5. Never overestimate the remarkable abilities of "OK."
WELCOME TO THE GEN-X CONFERENCE!
Your genteel hostess
Melissa Marie

incident specific or at least mood dependant...

he's one heck of a kid. resilient, strong and usually very upbeat.
He doesn't keep things in and so we've been able to talk a lot about conflicting emotions (loving Mom/hating the things she's done) which help keep him from having festering feelings.
If my own life were more stable (financially and otherwise) I'd certainly put my name on the foster parent list!

Conceptually, going on 10 years. ON the net, going on 5 years.
March 21, 1999 will be our 10th anniversery from the point of conception
and the fifth anniversery of going on the Internet. We started out as a
telnet service. Our web anniversery will be the 4th year on March 21, 1999.
