Drugs. Yep. Drugs.
~autumn #1
Tried 'em all (except the intravenous ones). The only ones I still indulge in from time to time are tobacco and alcohol (and we didn't even consider those drugs in the 80s!) The only one I ever really think about is psilicybin mushrooms, but I'd never act on it now because I am a Good Example.
~KitchenManager #2
exactly, that's why you gotta show 'em the right way to take them...
~stacey #3
unfortunately as a teacher, I have been bitten by the 'good example' bug as well. Self-imposed but strong nonetheless.
~terry #4
There is a war, on, uh, some drugs.
~autumn #5
Yeah, I'm a Law Abiding Citizen now in addition to being a Good Example.
~KitchenManager #6
I'm sorry...
~stacey #7
yeah. that sucks. you got DOUBLE responsibility. whoa. heavy. think i need a smoke, this is hurtin' my brain.
~autumn #8
Do a few hits for me, OK?
~mikeg #9
my first experience with drugs was aged (i think) seventeen (yup, i'm sure now), when a friend and I decided to go and get stoned. it was comically funny, since neither of us knew how to skin up. total abortion - it didn't happen. then, once he'd learned how (I never did...), we sat down and did it...it was fun. i remember one time doing about two or three *big* joints in a row, and being absolutely and totally stuffed afterwards...i wandered around like a zombie. i thought it was pretty funny at the time! then i started to get bored of it, and i saw how it was really wasting some of the people i was with. so i stopped. haven't smoked any since, except passively. i'm not a big fan...can't be good for you.
~autumn #10
Some of my "burnout" friends have really turned out strangely, Mike, you're smart to go the passive route!
~stacey #11
there is certainly a limit to what a body can take before substances begin altering the mind on a permanent basis, but i believe every adult should be free to do what he/she pleases with the one body he/she has been given. (he/she... i made the population sound hermaphroditic !)
~KitchenManager #12
That could be fun...
~autumn #13
There's probably a drug for it!
~KitchenManager #14
Can you smoke it? (and, if so, what are the negative side effects?)
~stacey #15
lung cancer.
~autumn #16
bite your tongue...
~stacey #17
sorry.
~KitchenManager #18
(damn! I was hoping that I could bite it for you...)
~Wolf #19
my only drug is chocolate.....thank God!!
~KitchenManager #20
good thing we got three topics for it in food, huh?
~Wolf #21
you know it.... Hi wer!
~KitchenManager #22
heyhey hey
~stacey #23
(it's Fat Albert!)
~KitchenManager #24
well, actually, that was Duane from What's Happening? Fat Albert would be hey hey hey (and typed, of course, with more soul)
~stacey #25
my bad. I thought I read some soul in there.
~KitchenManager #26
Didn't say there wasn't any, just not enough...
~stacey #27
*laugh* okay, okay, I'll listen more carefully next time!
~riette #28
Where I grew up there were no drugs. But when I was twelve, I asked the boys on the farm to teach me how to smoke, because I thought it was cool. What I didn't know was that 'smoking' to them, was a piece of paper in which you rolled a mixture of tobacco and cow crap. So they rolled me one, and I took a LONG suck at it. It was the most disgusting experience of my entire life. I was sick for three days (the memory of that taste LITERALLY made me sick), and I've never touched a thing since, I never ever ever ever want to smoke again either. As far as alcohol is concerned, hell, who hasn't ever got drunk? It's fun, but I HATE the hangover afterwards, so I only do it when I'm feeling really courageous.
~mikeg #29
I must be getting old as I'm starting to get hangovers :-)
~autumn #30
What is the drinking age where you two live?
~mikeg #31
18
~riette #32
Probalby same here, but I often see much younger kids stoned on the streets at night. I find it rather sad. Mike, so you think I'm old, huh? I've always had hangovers, even when I don't get drunk, but just a bit tipsy.
~riette #33
Damn! Probably.
