Here's something for you to check out beathoven: Dear HearMe VoiceCREATOR Registrant: It's finally time to say good-bye to VoiceCREATOR Basic and hello to Telcopoint PC Voice Chat powered by HearMe. HearMe will discontinue VoiceCREATOR at 12:00 noon on Friday January 19th, 2001, but not without offering you a great new way to talk to friends and colleagues over the Internet for FREE: It's easy: You get five rooms and up to 50 concurrent users (at the same time). TelcoPoint will also allow you to upgrade your PC Voice Chat to have moderated sessions, 800 phone access and allow additional users. It's better: Telcopoint PC Voice Chat is full duplex (you can talk at the same time like a standard telephone conversation), firewall friendly (allows you to reach behind corporate firewalls to talk to anyone, anytime) and allows multi-party conversations. It's free: Click http://www.telcopoint.com/hearme/hearme.html to try it now. Webmasters - a support forum has been built just for you, get all the inside info and neat new tricks after signing up.

We wuz' hacked, cracked and abused. Big time. This time it was malicious and it took a major reconstruction effort. I went about 24 hours without sleep at one stretch. But now we're back and we're even stronger in the way we've rebuilt the system and I'm doing multiple redundant backups. I had to buy another server a couple of days ago and a cost of about $1400 but it's a place where we can mirror our main system and get back on line quicly if we need to do so. But it cost a lot, and I may have to stretch our pledge drive a bit more to help make up for some of these costs. I want to make sure folks are getting the most they can get from this place and that we're giving them everything they want. And to do this, security and backups are going to play a key role from now on.

Hello everyone. My name is Nate reno and I am a homosexual. I really hope that doesn't bother anyone. But if there happen to be any attractive men in this chat that would like to get some, e-mail me!
~catz849 Wed, Oct 16, 2002 (22:16) #226
EW! Thats really gross. sorry everyone, but im a homophobic and i cant really help it. its just real strange to be around a guy who likes men along with you. Then again, it could have its advantages...hey nate, e-amil me. (-:

hmmmm... this thread seems to have died a sudden death? OK folks. I'm back and I'm chatty. Surely there have been new folks join up since 2002? And since everybody has apps (from the last visable post, let me be clear. APPS not abs)lets discuss them. There's probably lots of new stuff out there that isn't currently covered. Maybe we can even get our favorite grand poobah, Terry, to update or add app names. Come on folks... let's get the party started!
~terry Mon, Oct 11, 2004 (06:56) #231
Sure, there are lot's of new apps, and some of the apps here have gone by the by. Forrest Stroud is still reviewing apps. For example, these apps could be new topics: Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird: Microsoft Alternatives Come of Age - 9/15/2004 If you're looking to explore the internet without being tied to Internet Explorer or if you yearn for a new "Outlook" on e-mail, Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird, respectively, serve as solid alternatives with some intriguing extras. And the price is right both are available for free. Zoom Player: A Player for Every Type of Media File? - 9/8/2004 Can you play multimedia files on your computer? Of course you can, but which of the multitude of file formats can you actually use? Zoom Player from Inmatrix claims to support the widest variety of multimedia formats, including the most recent formats, while also giving you ultimate control over your viewing and listening environment.

That's my man, Terry! Jump in here wit me! We can get jiggy with new apps... I think I'm going to download a couple of browsers so I can test my site with them. My only concern is incompatibility. Most of my apps are MS and I know how 'twitchy' MS apps get in the presence of competitors. Any issues I should know before I begin? OR: Would some of you Springers pop into my site with your diverse bunch-o-browsers and report results back via my guestbook? If you do that, you don't have to leave your 'real' name. Tell me what browser you used and sign with your Spring handle. I'm new to this web design stuff and would appreciate all helpful hints. Visit me at http://www.spazzdog.com
~terry Tue, Oct 12, 2004 (13:14) #233
I haven't had any problems running Mozilla on the same system with IE. So it should be ok. I've got Mozilla Firefox on the system I'm using right now.
~zx6rider Tue, Oct 12, 2004 (19:55) #234
thanks terry!

Hello. I've joined here as I've noted that a whole lot of people have visited my blog from an address under spring.net. I'm curious as to why, but cannot read the pages as these are restricted. My blog is acediscovery.blogspot.com and the post refers to Lamb's Conduit Street in London. Any info gratefully received. Thanks. Adrian

It was merely to read about your petition to bar Starbucks. A news item that caught our eye. That's all.
