ASAP WordPower -- ASAP WordPower is a great new reports and presentations development tool from Software Publishing Corporation that allows even novice users to quickly create impressive presentations. Users can select from among 22 different layouts, 14 designs, and 18 color schemes in order to create effective reports, resulting in more than 5,500 possible combinations. There are also startup templates, online help, tooltips, and examples to help users get up and running with the client. Thanks to the release of SPC's WebShow plug-in module, WordPower presentations can also be viewed directly within the Netscape Navigator web browser. While not as powerful as competitive products like PowerPoint, WordPower is still quite powerful and extremely effective and easy to use for new users. WordPower even gives users the capability to import and export slideshows to and from PowerPoint. One of the few major downsides to this client is that it lacks support for hypertext, limiting its use for online web presentations. Overall, though, WordPower is an excellent application to have for developing reports and presentations, especially when the results will be published on the web.
