Pythia -- Pythia is a web browser developed to meet the needs of
large businesses by concentrating on critical features such as
security, enhanced visual layout, and interfaces to standard
RDBMS and GIS databases. While this may very well meet the
"needs of the most demanding systems integration companies in the
world", Pythia will not meet the demanding needs of most web
users. This is one of the slowest browsers I've ever used and is
lacking in several critical features, most noticeably tables. In
addition, the demo version available on the 'net is site-locked to the
Pythia web site, so unless you plan on registering Pythia you won't
be traveling very far. Local web pages are also accessible by Pythia,
but even these take longer to load than most web browsers.
Overall, while Pythia may well be the web browser for demanding
businesses, I don't think it's the browser for everyone else.
Pros: Meets the needs of large systems integration organizations
Cons: Slooowwwww, still suffers from feature deprivation New:
