You belong!
~MarciaH Mon, Jul 26, 1999 (12:47) #102
Ree, Dear, my editing days were long ago in another lifetime on a professional basis. I pour everything that is in me here. Please don't feel you do not belong here - that will make us all the poorer and we will all crash. We love what you write - at least, I do!
~stacey Mon, Jul 26, 1999 (15:30) #103
Woo Woo! Look at Marcia's table dance everyone... that's fantastic Marcia... are you trying to take our minds off the Bickersons or are you just standing too close to the Pakalolo smoking gorilla?!?! BTW... that outfit is amzaing on you! (what there is of it!)
~stacey Mon, Jul 26, 1999 (15:53) #104
uh...that was amazing...
~MarciaH Mon, Jul 26, 1999 (16:16) #105
It is nice to be appreciated. Actually I was getting into the mood and all that for posting about the Hawaii questions you posed...and I had to collect the various colors of hibiscus so you could see which island was which. Do you like my coconut shell top? I have to really be careful of the skirt...everywhere are peeking places...so I keep it moving.
~stacey Mon, Jul 26, 1999 (16:51) #106
are the grass skirts kinda like the kilts as far as the required under clothing?
~MarciaH Mon, Jul 26, 1999 (18:12) #107
Supposedly they wear nothing under their kilts (no stopping for arranging underwear during battle, I guess...) However, under hula skirts (actually shredded Ti leaves, they do wear an aloha-print kind of tight-fitting short shorts. They only show when the dancer is whirling and the skirt rises in a disc around his/her waist.
~KitchenManager Tue, Jul 27, 1999 (05:06) #108
one of these days I'm actually gonna get to see one of these table dances you ladies around are always performing when I'm not around... (at least, I hope I will)
~terry Tue, Jul 27, 1999 (12:10) #109
OK Fess up how many o fyou have grass skirts?
~MarciaH Tue, Jul 27, 1999 (12:44) #110
I table dance in Hawaiian attire by appointment only. Please see me about that. Grass skirts ownership...Hmmm. If you mean raffia ones (those dyed ones with wiggly strands of shredded stuff, probably only a few who dance in Tahitian reviews (Other than the tourist ones which no locals buy.) Each dancer gathers her own leaves and sews them together into an intircately woven waist band. These will last a long time but few outside of professional dancers or Merry Monarch Hula contestants dance in them. A lot of hula is done in long body-hugging Holokus ( mine is white with red trim and print on it. Ergo, I do not have grass skirt. Anyone else?
~stacey Tue, Jul 27, 1999 (13:14) #111
no grass skirt here...
~autumn Wed, Jul 28, 1999 (12:10) #112
We made them out of crepe paper for a party! Does that count? Oh, and one year my brother was a head hunter for Halloween (Marcia, you probably find that offensive on so many levels!) and we used shredded newspaper to make him a grass skirt. I am still ROFLMAO about Reefer Madness!!!
~MarciaH Wed, Jul 28, 1999 (12:42) #113
Autumn, you'd have to try pretty hard to make me find anything you post offensive. Actually, *LOL* was my reaction. I can remember making leis out of crepe paper, and when it rained on us the colors ran onto what we were wearing. Mom was not thrilled by that little venture into things Hawaiian. I guess your brother was from another set of Islands. altogether. Hawaiians are too content to make the effort of hunting for another human. They just reach into the ocean and grab something. Then they eat it as is. That is the one thing I cannot and will not eat at a luau. Raw stuff still struggling to get away - sea urchins, crabs and limpets are things which come to mind.
~autumn Fri, Jul 30, 1999 (00:04) #114
I was referring to the type of head hunter so authentically depicted on "Gilligan's Island." Have you noticed that when crepe paper runs, it stains?
~MarciaH Fri, Jul 30, 1999 (00:24) #115
No bones through noses here...*lol* And, you bet crepe paper stains. Nasty stuff and is hard to find growing on bushes here, fortunately!
~mrchips Wed, Aug 18, 1999 (02:11) #116
MarciaMarciaMarcia looks good in her grass skirt. I have seen her. In a previous life, she was Maureen McCormick...or was that Maureen McGovern?
~MarciaH Wed, Aug 18, 1999 (02:27) #117
Patience was rewarded by your visit to this astounding place. I never thought of myself as Babe material, but I have looked choice from time to time (you will verify that...umm..please?!) You cannot know how incredulous I was the day I checked to see what new messages had been posted and I saw that I had my very own Babe site. Pounding heart and sticky palms followed...and here I am. And finally someone who can really tell the world if I qualifiy is here. *grin* Welcome, John! E como mai!
~wolf Wed, Aug 18, 1999 (21:43) #118
wow, i missed a lot! can i go back a bit? am going to anyway! langley is across the chesapeake bay in ne virgina. got a friend that works somewhere on that base.
~MarciaH Wed, Aug 18, 1999 (22:53) #119
I have a lot of realtives on the Eastern Shore... (Sure, you can do whatever you'd like here *smile*)
~autumn Thu, Aug 19, 1999 (23:27) #120
I'll be in Vienna (VA) all next week.
~MarciaH Fri, Aug 20, 1999 (00:56) #121
I know Vienna, W Va, but not Vienna, Va. I hope it is cool for you!
~wolf Fri, Aug 20, 1999 (22:23) #122
i enjoyed my month at virginia beach, watched the navy seals run every morning from my classroom. now if that doesn't make it hard to concentrate!
~wolf Fri, Aug 20, 1999 (22:24) #123
(now i just pulled a major english faux pas---from my classroom, i could see the navy seals do their morning run. they weren't running away from us!!)
~MarciaH Fri, Aug 20, 1999 (22:51) #124
Shucks! I thought if they were running from your classroom you might manage to trap one for exhibit and companionship...but...and yes, I'll bet all eyes were out the window for that length of time. ....Ummmmm....
~wolf Sat, Aug 21, 1999 (20:39) #125
just the gals. and man were they healthy!
~MarciaH Sat, Aug 21, 1999 (21:08) #126
I did not know there were lady seals...I'll bet there was no "inch-pinching" available on those ladies! (did you ever find out where the guys were running and go check them out - in the interest of science and fitness, and all that...?)
~wolf Sun, Aug 22, 1999 (10:41) #127
no! the seals were men and only the gals were watching them! couldn't keep up with them no way, no how! watched them ride out on rubber boats with all their gear and they were too happy.
~MarciaH Sun, Aug 22, 1999 (13:38) #128
Oh drool...I am sure all Seals qualify as Babes...Do they have a calendar like the US men's Olympic Polo Team???
~kalapana2 Mon, Nov 1, 1999 (20:34) #129
hi i made it i think
~MarciaH Mon, Nov 1, 1999 (20:47) #130
Yes, You did Indeed! Welcome Nancy! I'll bet you never expected to see me in a topic dedicated to my babe-ness, considering you know what I am like In Real Life!
~Isabel Tue, Nov 2, 1999 (12:16) #131
Someone new? Goooood! WELCOME NANCY
~aschuth Tue, Nov 2, 1999 (12:23) #132
Welcome to the Spring, Nancy! You know Marcia personally?
~Isabel Tue, Nov 2, 1999 (12:41) #133
Are we nosy, Alexander?
~MarciaH Tue, Nov 2, 1999 (14:41) #134
Nancy has broken bread with me, shared my soul and last time I parted from her we hugged. That was just a few weeks ago. She knows me almost as well as you do, Alexander! (Isabel, he is an old friend and is concerned for my well-being as I am for his...I appreciate his concern!) This lady is the daughter of Jim Thorpe ( you did find out who his was, did you not?!) Now, to get her to where Terry can chat with her...!
~MarciaH Tue, Nov 2, 1999 (14:50) #135
Isabel, Thank you for welcoming her - she needs all the encouragement she can get. Let me tell you about her. I am a Penn State Grad, and when the Lady Lions were coming over here, she called the bookstore at PS and bought me two T-shirts. I wore the "Penn State Alumni" shirt the first time I saw them and it broke the ice - I was immediately one of the family with the team and coaches and other Penn Staters who had come with them. It was fabulous! She also, when we won the Rose Bowl, brought me a bouquet of red roses in a vase around which she had tied Penn State blue and white ribbons. I still have it!...there are so many things...She is very special, indeed, or she would not be here posting in my most "interesting" and "personal" place on Spring. Thank you, as well, Alexander. I shall get to your letter as soon as I possibly can (after I get hauled away from the computer to go shopping and people watching *grin*
~kalapana2 Tue, Nov 2, 1999 (23:09) #136
Hi Marcia, lets talk about Jim Thorpe?
~kalapana2 Tue, Nov 2, 1999 (23:13) #137
What do you know that's new. you are the one that keeps me informed about what my father, and I really do apprecitate it.
~MarciaH Tue, Nov 2, 1999 (23:19) #138
Ok lets go to sports conference...I'll send you the URL to meet me there... I only know that I found the postage stamp with him on it in full football gear and will give it to you when next I see you - at Volleyball? Meet you in sports/college football
~MarciaH Tue, Nov 2, 1999 (23:22) #139
Meet me here, Nancy http://www.spring.net/yapp-bin/restricted/read/sports/8
~kalapana2 Tue, Nov 2, 1999 (23:26) #140
Hi Alexander, Yes I know Marcia very well, she is a great lady and we have had some great times together. She is Penn State and I am UCLA, we both are vulcan fans and work well together at the games. We don't really watch much we are to busy talking.
~MarciaH Tue, Nov 2, 1999 (23:30) #141
( ...and you are too busy telling me about admiring glances from people I cannot see...*smile*)
~aschuth Thu, Nov 4, 1999 (13:08) #142
(hehe) Nancy, I hail from Hessen in Middle Europe, but I'm a naturalized citizen of the state of confusion. I'm not too hot on vulcans, I'm pretty happy that ours are dormant. They can give you one hell of a time, no? Looks neat on pictures, though, I hafta admit that.
~MarciaH Thu, Nov 4, 1999 (13:18) #143
Semantics, Alexander auf Hessen...it is all semantics! Nancy's referring to Vulcans was the Athletic teams of the University of Hawaii at Hilo who style themselves as Vulcans (rather than the Lions or the Bears or the Giants or whatever) because of the nearby Volcano (But you knew all this, did you not?!). Those other small-v vulcans can mess up the landscape, big time...and you cannot rebuild on "your land" for a long time...it has to cool down first, and then it has to wait out the volcano so see if a other flow is coming your way. Bad situation!
~riette Fri, Nov 5, 1999 (10:01) #144
Hi Nancy! Could you tell us more about yourself?
~MarciaH Fri, Nov 5, 1999 (13:13) #145
i am trying to get her to sports / OLYMPICS to talk about her father, but she is welcome to tell you that Sonja Hennie taught her how to ice skate!!!
~riette Sat, Nov 6, 1999 (07:38) #146
WOW!
~terry Sat, Nov 6, 1999 (11:42) #147
That is really cool!
~MarciaH Sat, Nov 6, 1999 (13:46) #148
I thought so.
~MarciaH Fri, Feb 18, 2000 (00:32) #149
Geez, I think I'm gonna have to take the wheelbarrow across town and bring Nancy back to the Spring. Might have to Land Line her, first. I miss her!
~MarciaH Fri, Feb 18, 2000 (00:33) #150
or somebody...anybody???
~lance8 Fri, Feb 18, 2000 (18:24) #151
Will I do? I'm just a broken down old orgy master who lit up one-to-many Thai sticks, but it sounds like Marcia is a horny sex fiend, and Riette is Kinky. Marcia, you like floor work? Are you a gymnast as well?
~MarciaH Fri, Feb 18, 2000 (18:37) #152
Do I know you? Certainly you will do. Um...floor work? It is the best place to so some things. Only a gymnast on a softer surface. Oh dear, I hoped my horns did not show...! *sigh* Welcome Lance!
~MarciaH Fri, Feb 18, 2000 (19:08) #153
Sheesh, he must be reading every babe in here. And, I thought he was going to converse with me...*sigh*
~aschuth Sat, Feb 19, 2000 (17:44) #154
So, what happened to this inflamed incense stick up above? Lance broke off?
~MarciaH Sat, Feb 19, 2000 (18:10) #155
He will probably be back. I guess it is a he, that is. Lance? Are you out there lurking?
~MarciaH Sat, Feb 19, 2000 (18:13) #156
Btw, Alexander, it is very good to see you here. Ever ready to check out the strangers who would post on my topic. *hugs*
~lance8 Sat, Feb 19, 2000 (22:53) #157
I don't lurk. I just didn't wait around for responses. When one sets off a bomb, a smart person doesn't stand over it to see if it went off. Marcia and Riette, I apologize. If that bomb of mine brought such a light response, you are ladies in the classic sense. I withdraw every unkind thing I said.
~lance8 Sat, Feb 19, 2000 (22:55) #158
BTW: Alexander- You are an old world gentleman to defend the ladies so pointedly. I just prefer to open things up at the outset in order to elicit responses. Inordinately Puckish of me, but that's me!
~MarciaH Sat, Feb 19, 2000 (23:13) #159
What are your interests, Lance? And why here? Which one of the pictures down the sides so you think I might resemble? I am delighted that you are back!
~MarciaH Sat, Feb 19, 2000 (23:15) #160
You must make me a little nervous...that should have been "which picture DO you think I might resemble?!"
~lance8 Sat, Feb 19, 2000 (23:21) #161
Thank you. I believe that you are right in which picture you must resemble. I read what you said about liking the floor.
~lance8 Sat, Feb 19, 2000 (23:24) #162
My taste runs to women with their own style, whatever that may be. Older, younger, any color; I was not lying when I intimated I had a little experience. Style matters most.
~MarciaH Sat, Feb 19, 2000 (23:26) #163
You and I share much in common. I am happier than ever to meet you here *smile*
~MarciaH Sat, Feb 19, 2000 (23:45) #164
Might I give you a Hug? *H U G *
~MarciaH Sat, Feb 19, 2000 (23:49) #165
Oh dear....I am afraid I have scared him quite away! Maybe I should not come on so strong with strangers...
~lance8 Sun, Feb 20, 2000 (00:07) #166
No dear, just got hung up on another part of this Spring. A long posting. I just L*O*V*E hugs. Back atchya!
~MarciaH Sun, Feb 20, 2000 (00:21) #167
~lance8 Sun, Feb 20, 2000 (00:21) #168
Unfortunately, the witching hour has arrived, and I must fly far to feed well this night, so aloha for now.
~MarciaH Sun, Feb 20, 2000 (00:27) #169
Big H*U*G*S in that case and a world of affectionate thanks...
~MarciaH Mon, Feb 21, 2000 (00:14) #170
It gets lonely in here so I think I should sit in the corner and see if anyone checks to see if I am here. If they do, they don't leave any notes or anything...
~MarciaH Mon, Feb 21, 2000 (00:18) #171
Things were really good in Geo...about all day people were posting and that is a really GOOD thing. I think we outdid Drool today...! I have some really neat new topics which are so enticingly adaptable to the far out that they appeal to all sorts of people who are not usually attracted to Geo. Then we got posting on Organic Gems because Lance came over there and he KNOWS black pearls. It was really fun. I typed my little fingers off and stretched my mind at the same time. My favorite thing to do (Not the finger off thing...)
~MarciaH Mon, Feb 21, 2000 (00:20) #172
Think I might go back there and polish the stones and admire the goodies put there in July and remember how and when and stuff like that...olive...
~autumn Mon, Feb 21, 2000 (13:07) #173
I think I sense a love connection right here at the spring! Welcome, Lance, you puckish boy, you!
~MarciaH Mon, Feb 21, 2000 (13:16) #174
*grin*
~aschuth Mon, Feb 21, 2000 (18:03) #175
*BTW: Alexander- You are an old world gentleman to defend the ladies *so pointedly. How DARE you call me names! ;=} You buy the next round, I'd say. And welcome to the Spring!
~MarciaH Mon, Feb 21, 2000 (20:27) #176
*applause* It is so nice to see civility amongst men of good will and intelligence...*smile*
~MarciaH Wed, Feb 23, 2000 (00:29) #177
~MarciaH Wed, Feb 23, 2000 (00:30) #178
E w e
~aschuth Wed, Feb 23, 2000 (19:28) #179
Hey, and you lady, don't call me Will! ;=}
~MarciaH Wed, Feb 23, 2000 (19:34) #180
yessir! *hug*
~MarciaH Thu, Feb 24, 2000 (16:59) #181
Food looks splendid, now. Wipe your feet before entering - or, better still, take off your shoes like we do here! It is lovely and classy and as inviting as the posts there. Visit, please, and say something!
~MarciaH Tue, Feb 29, 2000 (21:08) #182
To those of you who are Welsh and those of us who just love and admire them, Happy St. David's Day! Put a leek in your hat!
~MarciaH Tue, Feb 29, 2000 (23:00) #183
Cymru am Byth
~lance8 Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (00:29) #184
Marcia! Oh, Marcia! Wherefore art thou, oh, Marcia? Methinks thou art in Cymru, where the dragons of old still linger. Beware, for the scions of auld Gwynneth still abound, and they'll sweep a lass off her feet quicker than the Fairies.
~MarciaH Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (00:47) #185
I am counting on it....!
~MarciaH Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (00:49) #186
...as I wait in my tower for rescue from the dragons within....Prithee do not make light of the scions of Gwynneth....my heart lies there.
~lance8 Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (00:55) #187
As I am one of those scions, I do not make light, but merely give fair warning. Those who can trace their ancestry thus are fair-seeming outside, but are steel inside. That's why we scared Caesar out of his wits and out of Britania.
~MarciaH Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (01:01) #188
You did, indeed. They decided you were not worth the fight and sulked back across the Severn. That is why Wales has meant so much to me for so long... and now I know a real one with that hard honest steel inside. I like that!
~lance8 Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (01:05) #189
Now, now. We all know Wales has no iron for steel. We have Tin, Coal, Copper, and a little Gold, for Bronze and Gold jewelry.
~MarciaH Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (01:09) #190
The steel grows in the hearts of their men and women. And I have seen it flash from their eyes, as well. You have iron of the most worthy sort. Ec=xcalibur was forged out of "bog iron" which is really meteoritic.
~MarciaH Fri, Mar 3, 2000 (03:00) #191
(sheesh! Excalibur is the sword in question, of course! Men of Gwynneth maketh me a little rattled when it is late at night.)
~aschuth Sun, Mar 5, 2000 (15:14) #192
[You guyth! Uthing thuch thwollen language, thraight from the bard, no? Hi Lance.]
~MarciaH Sun, Mar 5, 2000 (15:22) #193
Aloha Alexander! Lovely to see you in these parts again =) Btw, did you read the lengthy explanation John gave to your question of who said a particular quote. He said no apology was necessary (but he chewed off my ears before that, so I thought I should be doing all of the apologizing...being from Venus and all...*grin*) Lance will be popping in from time to time as his studies permit. Real life intruding on my life again!
~MarciaH Sun, Mar 5, 2000 (15:23) #194
You don't thuppothe that the Bard lithpthed, do you? He used Prithee a whole lot...hmmm....
~aschuth Wed, Mar 8, 2000 (16:10) #195
What explanathion where?
~MarciaH Wed, Mar 8, 2000 (16:41) #196
You put a quote in Today/23 and asked who had said it. I posted a long and a little petulent answer and John and I were worried that we might have upset you with the little request for an apology - which is totally in jest. He did answer you most thoroughly!
~MarciaH Sun, Mar 19, 2000 (00:14) #197
~MarciaH Sun, Mar 19, 2000 (00:18) #198

~lance8 Sun, Mar 19, 2000 (17:16) #200
Alexander, you seem like my kind of nut. Try pronouncing Prithee with a long I sound. Maybe it should be,"Prithee, madam, What is your prithee for thy favors?" Marcia, hon, I now you aren't like that, but if you know any, maybe Alexander would like to get a phone number. [evil chuckles...]
