Motley Fool http://www.spring.com started out on AOL and has now spread to the web. It's a place to join the insiders and get some practical tips on the market. The developers of this site believe that, with a little work, you can do well on the stock market. And they back it up with practical advice and successes.

According to the directions on the Motley Fool site, the way to get started: The best place to begin would be their 13 Steps to Investing Foolishly, where they detail their investment approach. Then they say to move on to their series of articles about How To Value Stocks, as well as other helpful personal finance information contained in the Fool's School. Then they recommend that you explore the Dow Dividend Approach, "a painless way to buy blue-chip stocks that has beaten the market for at least 36 years running." Want to learn a little about investing day by day? Play Bust the Tipsters, their interactive game that focuses on teaching investors about stock-picking and portfolio management. Let's have some fun. Fellow mall tenants rose on the news as well, with online music seller CDnow (Nasdaq: CDNW) gaining $1 5/16 to $13 1/2 and Web-based travel services provider Preview Travel (Nasdaq: PTVL) adding $2 1/16 to $17 3/16. Rounding out the shopping network are privately held firms Datek Online, eToys, Garden.com, PC Flowers & Gifts, Virtual Vineyards, and Hollywood Entertainment's (Nasdaq: HLYW) Reel.com unit. The network, which was originally formed in October with only four members, is being launched just before Black Friday and the unofficial start of the holiday selling season stampede. The partners are hoping the new site will be the Grinch that steals online Christmas sales from multi-faceted retailer Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN), which for its own part, closed up $37 3/8 at $218 today.
