The latest and greatest chocolate topic!!! To view the info on the webring, click above! (seperate page provided as a courtesy to telnetters)
~KitchenManager Tue, Apr 7, 1998 (15:58) #1
Here it is, should I freeze the other two topics or leave well enough alone?
~autumn Tue, Apr 7, 1998 (21:03) #2
Can there be too much talk about chocolate? Just got the Wolfgang order from school (one of many dreaded fundraisers) and already dove into the chocolate-covered peanut butter. What do you want to bet they won't make it till Easter? Now if I can just keep away from the girls' bunnies....
~terry Wed, Apr 8, 1998 (09:50) #3
I won't bet you, wouldn't be prudent.
~autumn Wed, Apr 8, 1998 (13:56) #4
Prudence is a virtue, terry.
~KitchenManager Wed, Apr 8, 1998 (15:12) #5
Can one get a dozen of those covered in chocolate?
~stacey Thu, Apr 9, 1998 (08:44) #6
*laugh* taking exactly what you want, when you want it may not be a virtue but it's a fulfilling existence!
~KitchenManager Tue, Apr 14, 1998 (22:00) #7
(guess I need to try that sometime...) http://www.spring.net/~spew/chocolate.html is now officially part of the Chocoholics Unite! webring yippeee!
~terry Tue, Apr 14, 1998 (22:51) #8
Hav eyou run into Choconancy yet?
~KitchenManager Tue, Apr 14, 1998 (23:11) #9
Not sure...explain
~terry Tue, Apr 14, 1998 (23:54) #10
She's on a few other virtual communities. Maybe we could entice her into joining us.
~KitchenManager Thu, Apr 16, 1998 (15:53) #11
Added more stuff to the chocolate page, ya'll check it out...once again, it's http://www.spring/net/~spew/chocolate.html what else do you all think should be on it?
~stacey Thu, Apr 16, 1998 (16:40) #12
speaking of chocolate... my kds threw a surprise party for me. CHocolate cake w/ chocolate frosting with chocolate fudge brownie ice cream!
~KitchenManager Thu, Apr 16, 1998 (18:49) #13
So, how did all that love and appreciation feel, teach?
~stacey Fri, Apr 17, 1998 (09:18) #14
warm. *smile*
~KitchenManager Thu, Apr 30, 1998 (14:29) #15
Sorry, everyone, that reminder link above should have said http://www.spring.net/~spew/chocolate.html (oops)
~KitchenManager Tue, May 26, 1998 (13:12) #16
had my first s'more Sunday night...
~stacey Wed, May 27, 1998 (08:28) #17
WooWoo! and what did you think?!?!
~KitchenManager Wed, May 27, 1998 (08:54) #18
s'okay
~autumn Wed, May 27, 1998 (08:54) #19
We camped out in the backyard Sat. night, and had s'mores over a campfire. Can't believe you were a s'more virgin before this weekend, wer! Must not have been a boy scout...
~KitchenManager Wed, May 27, 1998 (08:54) #20
Eagle Scout actually, Autumn, that's the thing... in these here parts that's a Girl Scout tradition
~autumn Thu, May 28, 1998 (09:01) #21
That may well be the same here. My brothers were both Eagle scouts, and my dad is still the scoutmaster. I'll have to find out if they have s'mores on their camporees...
~mikeg Mon, Jul 13, 1998 (21:42) #22
dormant since the end of May? I don't believe you all. You're clearly not as committed to chocoholicism as ME ;) Anyway, as soon as I spotted this topic, I came up with a wild idea. How about an international chocolate swap between us all? I could send one/two/three of you some English chocolate, some of you stateside luvs could pass round some american examples, and riette and anyone else could deliver some swiss! comments? :-)
~riette Tue, Jul 14, 1998 (01:02) #23
You just want to get your hands on my champaigne truffles in exchange for Rowntree's, don't you?!?!
~terry Tue, Jul 14, 1998 (13:02) #24
Or my Lammes candies?
~mikeg Tue, Jul 14, 1998 (13:14) #25
i was going to send thorntons, actually :)
~riette Tue, Jul 14, 1998 (14:20) #26
ha-ha!! I'll send you champaigne truffles in exchange for FLAKE and AERO.
~mikeg Wed, Jul 15, 1998 (10:55) #27
Flake and Aero? You've got it. E-mail me your address :-)
~mikeg Wed, Jul 15, 1998 (10:55) #28
This could be like a chocoholic-swap-shop :))
~KitchenManager Wed, Jul 15, 1998 (11:00) #29
I like it!
~riette Wed, Jul 15, 1998 (14:13) #30
Okay, Mike, I'll e-mail you mine if you e-mail me yours. But the flakes mustn't be from Dunn's or Boyes okay? 'Cos there they sell them about three months after sell-by date for that extra crispness - but I like my chocolate fresh and melty. And . . . eh, how many flakes and aeros are you willing to exchange for 100g of truffles? I mean, we ARE talking mind boggling stuff here! You want to make a truffle deal, Wer?
~KitchenManager Wed, Jul 15, 1998 (18:31) #31
if I but had the goods to deliver...
~riette Thu, Jul 16, 1998 (00:48) #32
You could bake me some brownies . . .
~mikeg Thu, Jul 16, 1998 (14:11) #33
offer and address e-mailed :)
~riette Fri, Jul 17, 1998 (01:12) #34
Ooh! A man with deeds to go with the words! A rare thing. Whether my words will turn to deeds depends on the offer, of course . . . I shall have to go see , , ,
~autumn Fri, Jul 17, 1998 (23:00) #35
(*pant pant*) A chocolate swap! Mmmmm, what a delicious idea!
~KitchenManager Fri, Jul 17, 1998 (23:51) #36
as is chocolate pants!
~riette Sat, Jul 18, 1998 (00:43) #37
ha-ha!! As long as you don't wee in them!
~mikeg Sat, Jul 18, 1998 (04:46) #38
euwwwwww :-)) choccy-swap is organised. gotta go to the choccy-shop now :)
~riette Sat, Jul 18, 1998 (07:15) #39
And I'll try not to eat the truffles before I send them!!
~riette Thu, Oct 15, 1998 (13:14) #40
Here Sonja: Is there room for another member here? I am defenitely a chocoholic. And I had those truffles last year when I was here. It is indescribably good.
~autumn Thu, Oct 15, 1998 (19:53) #41
Are you referring to the luscious-sounding champagned-filled grape truffles???
~riette Fri, Oct 16, 1998 (02:30) #42
OOOOHHHHH yes! Get her to bring some across on that spring unification you're planning.
~mikeg Fri, Oct 16, 1998 (07:56) #43
We still haven't managed to get that chocolate swap suggested above organised :) That *has* to be done, as soon as she cheers up and comes back!
~riette Fri, Oct 16, 1998 (11:03) #44
Well, I'm back now.
~sonja Fri, Oct 16, 1998 (13:11) #45
So send the man his chocolates!
~riette Sat, Oct 17, 1998 (00:47) #46
nag!
~sonja Sat, Oct 17, 1998 (07:34) #47
AWOL Woman!
~riette Sat, Oct 17, 1998 (14:48) #48
sticking my tongue out at you
~sonja Sun, Oct 18, 1998 (04:15) #49
*biting it off*
~jgross Sun, Oct 18, 1998 (23:45) #50
*picking it up off the ground and taking it to emergency room with Riette for reattachment and thicker bite-resistant tongue skin graft*
~sonja Mon, Oct 19, 1998 (10:44) #51
And I thought we'd finally have some peace and quiet!
~riette Tue, Oct 20, 1998 (00:29) #52
Why don't you stick YOUR tongue out for a minute, cheeky....
~jgross Tue, Oct 20, 1998 (02:53) #53
more highlights for the video --the tongue intermission
~autumn Tue, Oct 20, 1998 (09:00) #54
Perhaps they're eligible for a transplant--any tongue donors out there?
~sonja Tue, Oct 20, 1998 (09:52) #55
Two tongues - cool! But I'd like a mirror above my head, and no anaesthetics, please. Wouldn't want to miss a minute of such an interesting procedure.
~jgross Tue, Oct 20, 1998 (14:46) #56
You're great with only one tongue (practically a master) But just don't stick it out (around Riette) She might not cough it up, after biting it off She might cough it right down without even chewing Like blooop down the throat and plop-a-doodle right into the stomach Irretrievable Irritatingly so I'm irritable just thinking about it So I won't Okay, it's over---it stopped....
~riette Wed, Oct 21, 1998 (03:18) #57
ha-ha!! And we all know where it goes from there, don't we?? 'Plop-a-doodle'!
~sonja Wed, Oct 21, 1998 (10:40) #58
WOW, that's mondo disgusto!
~riette Thu, Oct 22, 1998 (03:07) #59
Yes - don't ye love it?
~sonja Thu, Oct 22, 1998 (09:53) #60
Totally!
~jgross Thu, Oct 22, 1998 (19:41) #61
yeah, that was pretty hip (isn't that where it goes for the last plop-a-doodle?)
~riette Fri, Oct 23, 1998 (00:47) #62
It depends on what you consider to be hip....
~sonja Fri, Oct 23, 1998 (10:16) #63
I consider plop-a-doodle to be hip.
~KitchenManager Sat, Oct 24, 1998 (12:35) #64
Looks like I'm adding a chocolate mousse(sp?) to the dessert menu at work...
~riette Sun, Oct 25, 1998 (01:05) #65
After ice-cream that would be just about my favourite dessert!
~sonja Tue, Oct 27, 1998 (05:06) #66
Nope; I would prefer the chocolate mousse defenitely!
~riette Wed, Oct 28, 1998 (00:50) #67
I know....
~KitchenManager Mon, Apr 5, 1999 (00:38) #68
"Ghana, is, as you perhaps in Korea, and is regarded as the high-qualified Ghana our marvelous, smooth and mild whole already know, enjoying high reputation selling chocolates masterpieces of all milk chocolate." slogan on the wrapper of Korean Ghana brand chocolate bar
~autumn Sun, Apr 11, 1999 (16:24) #69
*cracking up*
~riette Sun, Apr 25, 1999 (01:06) #70
As long as they keep it away from Mick Jagger, it's fine by me!
~aschuth Sun, Apr 25, 1999 (03:43) #71
But if they wouldn't, he might start to look better than that rose! (What topic was Mick's rose in... Forgot.) Hi Ritte!
~riette Tue, Apr 27, 1999 (03:55) #72
