Address your critiques to terry, stacey, or wer...
~stacey Wed, Jun 24, 1998 (17:03) #1
or you may address your praise to Stacey (for any number of tangental items) and your 'critique' (obvious 'criticism euphemism') to Paul and WER! *smile* just kidding. I can take it!

kinda sums it up doesn't it, guys and gals?
~riette Wed, Jun 24, 1998 (19:28) #3
Yes, it does. Gals do good things, and guys do . . . well, guy-things.
~KitchenManager Wed, Jun 24, 1998 (22:38) #4
thus the apple thing...
~KitchenManager Thu, Jun 25, 1998 (09:56) #5
anyway, what do ya'll who come in thru the web think of the new look?
~riette Thu, Jun 25, 1998 (17:02) #6
It defies thinking! If you could see how swollen my hands are from all the applauding, you'd grow and ego bigger than that of Bill Clinton!
~KitchenManager Thu, Jun 25, 1998 (17:15) #7
that wouldn't be the first thing that I would want bigger than Bill's... (btw, I do appreciate the compliments, Riette)
~riette Fri, Jun 26, 1998 (05:02) #8
And here's another: I'm sure yours are all bugger than Bills anyway.
~riette Fri, Jun 26, 1998 (05:03) #9
ha-ha!!!! I blame the way that came out on my broken arm!! Correction: And here's another: I'm sure yours are all bigger than Bill's anyway.
~Wolf Fri, Jun 26, 1998 (11:19) #10
LOL! i like the look, well, except for some of the html code that keeps showing up
~KitchenManager Fri, Jun 26, 1998 (13:18) #11
on the main conf page, the code is intentional... especially since most of it is wrong... but, it will probably go when I sign the conf up for the Generation X List Web Ring...
~Wolf Fri, Jun 26, 1998 (18:10) #12
i'll say it again, luvs the puppy!!! he's so cute, lets me scratch your little itty bitty ears, aw....
~riette Sat, Jun 27, 1998 (07:18) #13
Pull back your tongue Wolf, you CAN'T have him!!
~Wolf Tue, Jun 30, 1998 (23:11) #14
*yipe yipe yipe* wolf tucks her tail between her legs and immediately moves into a submissive position (ie, belly up with that sad look in her eyes)
~KitchenManager Tue, Jun 30, 1998 (23:46) #15
(it's about time...)
~Wolf Tue, Jun 30, 1998 (23:47) #16
you were waiting for it, heh?
~KitchenManager Wed, Jul 1, 1998 (00:31) #17
you in that particular position? oh, yeah!...
~Wolf Wed, Jul 1, 1998 (00:37) #18
oh please, i'm not your type...
~KitchenManager Wed, Jul 1, 1998 (02:00) #19
alive and willing? lemme guess, the first but not the second?
~riette Wed, Jul 1, 1998 (05:31) #20
Hopefully the first!
~Wolf Wed, Jul 1, 1998 (11:59) #21

~riette Thu, Sep 3, 1998 (01:57) #22
Love the lines, Wer!
~KitchenManager Thu, Sep 3, 1998 (02:05) #23
thanks...
~autumn Thu, Sep 3, 1998 (23:14) #24
This whole place has undergone a metamorphasis since last week! Are you the one responsible for the new search engine options, wer?? By the way, the customized hotlist page is a nice touch!
~riette Fri, Sep 4, 1998 (01:41) #25
Do you find it therapeutic doing these things, Wer? I mean, the stuff you do here is so creative - does it help with your depression too?
~KitchenManager Fri, Sep 4, 1998 (02:52) #26
Terry(?) did the search page, I put in the choice on the main page... probably so, Riette, thus the criticism topics and all the questions in porch, if I do something everyone likes it gives me a sense of acceptance, I suppose... not being very artistic myself, I seem to have a knack for layout and design, and enjoy doing it (whatever the current motivation for it may be)...
~riette Fri, Sep 4, 1998 (04:29) #27
Having a knack for layout and design IS artistic, silly! And the motivation is the fact that doing something you do well is satisfying, is it not? I know what you mean by that sense of acceptance thing though; only I've never been able to admit that to myself as freely as you do. In fact, I've NEVER done that, but your saying it helped me understand something I've been struggling with too. I've realized that that 'wanting to be accepted' in at least that one area of life has become a bit of a nasty c rcle with me. I get unbelievably depressed every time I finish a painting. The reason: I feel I HAVE to produce something better, something MORE striking, MORE over the top next time. At first I thought it was healthy ambission - but ambission is not suppose to depress one. So it must be that acceptance thing. The plain fact is that I'm $hit scared somebody will DISLIKE one of my paintings - which is, of course, BOUND to happen at some point. God, why must we be such silly buggers, hey??
~KitchenManager Fri, Sep 4, 1998 (05:00) #28
'cause we're screwed?
~riette Fri, Sep 4, 1998 (06:01) #29
How right you are.
~wolf Fri, Sep 4, 1998 (13:16) #30
golly, riette and wer, you two sound like me, maybe we're all related (triplets, then, i suppose). everytime i write a new poem and post it, i'm always afraid that someone will find it utterly silly. but why should we let other people's opinions mean so much when the stuff we do (whether it be graphic layouts, paintings, or poetry) is wholly personal and meaningful to us? if i touch somebody with a poem, that is all i need. i love the layouts you've done, wer and how you've incorporated one of riette's works into the main page. it brings interest instead of just all those words (which can be overwhelming). i know i hate bringing up a website and all i see are lots and lots of tiny words on the main page of the site. maybe we can break down the front page of the spring somehow without overdoing it?
~riette Fri, Sep 4, 1998 (15:46) #31
hey, that sounds a great idea!!! Wolf, where can I go to read your poems? Is there a special topic in your conference, or should I go to your homepage?
~wolf Fri, Sep 4, 1998 (16:05) #32
if you click on the paw at the poetry conference, you will go straight to my poem archive at my site. thanks for the interest!
~riette Sat, Sep 5, 1998 (02:12) #33
Thank you - can't wait to read them.
