If you pinch the skin just above the nose and below the eyebrows, there should be some give in the skin above all the bone and cartlidge, and, yes, it goes all the way through...it is one type of "surface to surface" piercing.

OMG, the stuff people do. did you see the thing on (MTV?) where the dude wanted a real bullet wound without being shot by a bad guy? yeah, some guy actually does this out of his warehouse/garage. he has one of those big craftsman tool boxes with all different types of ammo and explains what'll happen. he calls the ambulance and they wait outside. then the modifyee sits back in a chair and relaxes while the modifyer shoots him! and then the dummy has the gawl to say "that MFing hurt!" what a big fat (although rather skinny) dummy! and we saw a gal at a Mickey D's drive-thru with piercings all over her beautiful face. she was just too pretty to screw up the whole thing, y'know? it wasn't attractive in the least.
