How do you web types like the new look in this here conference?
Shall we keep it, go back to the way we were, or should I keep looking?

Huh?
RUIN IT??
In what way?
What did I say?!?!
I should have said nothing?
Should have asked for permission before speaking?
Lord, I should start using body language - it's GOT to be more successful than spoken conversation.
So, scrap, 'Wow! How flattering!',
this is how it should have read:
Lifting Right Eyebrow
Is that better?

geez, Riette, you're the one that said flattery was bad...
I was just unsuccesfully pointing out that you were flattering
me, and thus ruining your compliment...

And your spatula is quite long, yet a little flexible and easy to get hold of - and, boy, can it whip one's cream or what?! Would you call that a compliment or flattery?
(No, I know, muffin, I was just being wicked!)

not sure about this bg any more. i think i prefer the WELL/Engaged style of just having plain white backgrounds. makes things that much easier to read.

in your rc file for your conf,
type in
define wallpaper 'nada.gif'
and set the colors you want to use in
define xxlinkcol like you would in a body tag

been contemplating it for genx...all around, I like the buttons because with the

I know what you mean. I've been thinking about the same thing. While I like the new buttons at Drool (I'll like them even more when I get a chance to make their backgrounds transparent) I feel like there is something alien about them.
I like the idea of each Conference having it's own character, one that is reflective of the topics discussed and/or the personalities of the participants. The choice of water at Drool was a very conscious one--all wet things being a running joke over there.
I notice that most of the main Conference pages don't mention something like "You're at Spring" (including Drool). I think a logo would be a great solution. If everyone could agree on the design and each Conference had it at the top right of the page (or some other convenient place), then it would both keep consistency throughout Spring while allowing each Conference to have its own personality.
Sorry, I probably should have posted this at Porch, but the opportunity presented itself ;-) I'm going over to check out the logos topic...

I was really tempted to tell you what you wanted (needed?) to hear here, but you already know...huh?! The background is splendid, as others have noted. The host is kind to all ladies and gentlemen who stumble into his path, and he deserves some Order of Merit for the work he has done. I hope the new host is equal to the task - pretty difficult (word changed on purpose) act to follow.
