~TIM Fri, Nov 20, 1998 (01:10) #1
Aren't we getting just a little crass here?
~KitchenManager Fri, Nov 20, 1998 (11:02) #2
Not really...we have special topics for that!
~TIM Fri, Nov 20, 1998 (12:41) #3
OOH GOODY!!! What are they?
~riette Sat, Nov 21, 1998 (02:36) #4
Look under religion!! NO, just kidding! And that should read: MAD SCREWER OF RECREATION, thank you very much!
~TIM Sun, Nov 22, 1998 (18:15) #5
Or, perhaps: MAD RECREATIONAL SCREWER,........or MADLY RECEATIONAL SCREWER?
~riette Mon, Nov 23, 1998 (11:24) #6
I rather like the last option! To be madly recreational - like being a creative screwer; sounds good, doesn't it?
~TIM Mon, Nov 23, 1998 (11:42) #7
DEFINITELY!! VERY GOOD!! variety is the spice of life, for sure, Riette.
~riette Tue, Nov 24, 1998 (08:25) #8
The art of sex. I'll keep a canvas close within reach next time....
~TIM Tue, Nov 24, 1998 (09:24) #9
And some finger paints too, Riette. Lots of colors. And the canvas should be big enough to lay on.
~riette Wed, Nov 25, 1998 (02:45) #10
Sounds good! So, do you do art?
~TIM Wed, Nov 25, 1998 (11:07) #11
Not anything that is any good, Riette. But I enjoy dabbling in it?
~riette Thu, Nov 26, 1998 (02:10) #12
Who is to say whether art is good or bad. Good art is art that fulfills the need for creativity. If yours does that, you're good. Will you show me?
~TIM Thu, Nov 26, 1998 (03:21) #13
Sure Riette, but it'll have to be something that I do between now and then, Because , I don't keep anything around. Usually, after I get tired of looking at it I throw it away.
~riette Thu, Nov 26, 1998 (07:31) #14
Oh, you don't have to, really! But why do you throw your art away?!?!
~TIM Thu, Nov 26, 1998 (17:42) #15
I am a pack rat by nature, Riette, If I do not make an effort to rid myself of excess baggage from time to time, I would live in a warehouse.
~riette Fri, Nov 27, 1998 (02:16) #16
Then get rid of the crap, not your art!
~TIM Fri, Nov 27, 1998 (02:25) #17
Riette, I do keep it until I get tired of it, then I get rid of it.
~riette Sat, Nov 28, 1998 (01:37) #18
How can you get TIRED of it??
~TIM Sat, Nov 28, 1998 (01:39) #19
I don't know, After awhile I get tired of looking at it.
~TIM Sat, Nov 28, 1998 (01:42) #20
The expression is in the doing, Riette. While it is in progress it is living. When it is done It is frozen. No longer living. After a time I get tired of looking at that frozen moment.
~riette Sat, Nov 28, 1998 (15:52) #21
I don't. I see it more like a photograph - of what was going on in my mind at the time. Like a memory - reminding me that something DOES actually go on in my head; it's not just a mass (however little!) of grey bits. But don't worry, I'm not going to try and change your mind. You're probably less egotistical than me in NOT keeping them, and that's to be respected!
~TIM Sat, Nov 28, 1998 (18:56) #22
Thank you again, Riette, I wish I could aspire to such noble ideals. but, the fact is, I've limited room, and anything non essential goes.
~riette Sun, Nov 29, 1998 (13:38) #23
That's the kind of practicality I need in my life too! I might be able to walk in a straight, uninterrupted line through my flat for once!
~TIM Sun, Nov 29, 1998 (13:48) #24
Stuff everything into the closet, Riette, that's what I do.
~riette Mon, Nov 30, 1998 (02:27) #25
The closets are all overflowing. Some of it I just swallow. The rest I live with.
~TIM Mon, Nov 30, 1998 (02:40) #26
This is my system, Riette, When the closet gets full . throw something away to make room.
~riette Tue, Dec 1, 1998 (02:05) #27
That sounds incredibly complicated.
~TIM Tue, Dec 1, 1998 (02:25) #28
Actually, It's quite simple, Riette, You assign a finite amount of space to stuff. When stuff exceeds that space, get rid of some stuff.
~riette Wed, Dec 2, 1998 (01:40) #29
I do that too, except the last bit...
~TIM Wed, Dec 2, 1998 (01:52) #30
Then it must logically follow , Riette, that stuff will eventually get rid of you.
