InfoSpace Horoscopes Sagittarius Today is a great time to strike up conversation with somebody you don't know. A stranger on the bus or a friendly face at the corner store may turn out to be your next best friend. That person you always see on your way to work or wherever it is that you go may be impressed by your outgoing, eccentric nature, so turn on the charm. It seems that many are listening to what you have to say, and you feel perfectly assured. This is a great day to communicate, so plan to make speeches and presentations. Hmm, first thing when I came to work I was heavy into communicating with everyone on my project today. Anyone out here I don't know yet? If there is, let's talk!
~terry Mon, Oct 5, 1998 (17:13) #202
InfoSpace Horoscopes Sagittarius A day for drama and action. You may discover something new today which you will want to know more about. Alternately, you could meet a person in an unlikely way, a person who will soon become vital to your life. Don't pass up any opportunities to get out and meet people. Attend all parties, particularly dinner parties, and speak up at meetings. Sagittarius is the true pioneer of the zodiac, and you will be no exception. Those dreams you've been harboring for a while could be just about ready to come true - if you have the guts to try, that is.
~riette Tue, Oct 6, 1998 (11:34) #203
I think I must be a severely handicapped Sagittarius...
~KitchenManager Sat, Oct 24, 1998 (13:22) #204
Cancer's for today: The two themes that are likely to be important in the short-term future are those of children and having a good time. We hope that these two are compatible.
~riette Sun, Oct 25, 1998 (01:16) #205
Mostly, but not ALWAYS!
~wolf Wed, Oct 28, 1998 (11:31) #206
short-future? maybe halloween??
~KitchenManager Wed, Oct 28, 1998 (13:27) #207
not sure...gotta work Halloween, anyway... Today's: You're in the mood for fun and adventure, but those close to home won't appreciate your apparently selfish actions. A money worry may emerge today which will do little to encourage domestic harmony. Very little can be resolved, so wait until this stellar influence passes.
~KitchenManager Thu, Oct 29, 1998 (23:34) #208
Today's for Cancer... Lofty values have no place in today's rather disappointing stars. You may feel you have been let down by colleagues who do not share your ideals. Perhaps you're feeling moody and distrustful...however, there is probably a good reason for this.
~KitchenManager Wed, Nov 4, 1998 (13:18) #209
Today's for Cancer: The Full Moon could make you feel tense and it could also bring you an unexpected expense which, when you come to think of it, is probably only to be expected. The best thing to do today is to jog along as usual and don't get caught up in anyone else's bad mood.
~KitchenManager Fri, Nov 13, 1998 (14:04) #210
Cancer's for Friday the 13th... Many of your convictions have gone through profound changes since Jupiter went retrograde. Today, the giant planet resumes its direct course and you can take stock of the situation. A lot of confusion will now be resolved and you may feel that your luck improves as your mind clears.
~KitchenManager Thu, Nov 26, 1998 (00:13) #211
Cancer's for Thanksgiving: There could be good things going on in connection with work or business today. Other people may come up with money-making schemes that are worth investigating. This may lead to some kind of working partnership that will stand the test of time. This may not affect you directly, but could, for example, apply to your partner. And for Friday: Neptune's entry into one of the deepest and most secret areas of your horoscope emphasises parts of your complex mind that you scarcely knew existed. Many of you may have psychic or spiritual experiences in the coming months.
~wolf Thu, Nov 26, 1998 (12:53) #212
Gemini for this beautiful Thanksgiving Day (according to the Times): Make calls in the morning; reach out for family and friends. You bring happiness into other people's lives. Wherever you are, be the lead player. Others look to you for different ways to solve problems. Tonight: Head cheerleader!
~TIM Thu, Nov 26, 1998 (22:46) #213
Whew! sounds like someone is going to a party!!
~wolf Thu, Nov 26, 1998 (22:56) #214
must've been another gemini, cuz it sure wasn't me! (although my daughter did some cheerleading tonight, only she's an aries)
~KitchenManager Fri, Dec 11, 1998 (11:54) #215
Cancer's today: Close emotional links will flourish now as Venus, planet of love, enters your horoscopic area of partnerships. If you're in any doubt about your relationship then this is the time to show your affection in no uncertain terms. In more practical concerns Venus adds goodwill in business dealings, while the next few weeks could see the transformation of a rival in commerce or love to an ally and friend. Those who are single may find the man or woman of their dreams.
~KitchenManager Tue, Dec 15, 1998 (23:26) #216
Cancer's today: Your financial fortunes may look uncertain, but an unexpected event could easily make good the losses you have experienced. Keep your head and be prepared to act quickly to benefit from any financial opportunity.
~KitchenManager Wed, Dec 16, 1998 (10:01) #217
Cancer's today: A sudden declaration of love is not unlikely today. Emotions are very close to the surface, and no matter how you repress them, they are still likely to bubble over into the many areas of your life. Apart from the physical aspect, you'll experience deep spiritual desire.
~PT Wed, Dec 16, 1998 (16:22) #218
Now, that sounds interesting!!
~wolf Wed, Dec 16, 1998 (16:33) #219
what's your sign, pt?
~PT Wed, Dec 16, 1998 (17:07) #220
Cancer
~stacey Fri, Dec 18, 1998 (20:40) #221
Let's have some Aries mumbo jumbo!
~KitchenManager Sat, Dec 19, 1998 (11:45) #222
you'd have to talk to my sisters...
~PT Sat, Dec 19, 1998 (12:49) #223
Your sisters are both Aries? Are they twins?
~KitchenManager Sat, Dec 19, 1998 (12:51) #224
yep...with different birthdays noless...
~PT Sat, Dec 19, 1998 (12:54) #225
Born near midnight, were they?
~KitchenManager Sat, Dec 19, 1998 (13:00) #226
yep...3 to 4 days earlier, and they would have different zodiac signs, as well!
~PT Sat, Dec 19, 1998 (13:12) #227
If they really followed the Zodiac, that would not have made much difference, since both would have been on the cusp.
~KitchenManager Sat, Dec 19, 1998 (13:19) #228
yeah, but it still would have been cool to tell people...
~PT Sat, Dec 19, 1998 (13:32) #229
That is true. I'll bet that twins with different birthdays get plenty of comment
~KitchenManager Sun, Dec 20, 1998 (00:11) #230
yes indeedy
~wolf Mon, Dec 21, 1998 (22:20) #231
yeah, but their poor mother! stacey, my daughter is an aries too!
~stacey Tue, Dec 22, 1998 (17:18) #232
ahhh, you poor dear. It must be trying having a daughter who is ALWAYS right!
~PT Tue, Dec 22, 1998 (19:25) #233
Aren't they all, sooner or later?
~autumn Tue, Dec 22, 1998 (19:25) #234
I have TWO daughters who think they are always right, yet only ONE is an Aries...how do you account for that? :-) (The other is a Taurus)
~jgross Tue, Dec 22, 1998 (19:25) #235
taurus daughters bull their way into the clear into the front of everyone's attention and that's where it feels right to them. i like 'em for it. they're pretty funny with 'emselves. characters.
~stacey Tue, Dec 22, 1998 (19:25) #236
Autumn, is your Aries daughter the oldest? Just wondering if she's showing her astrologically impaired baby sister the way?!?!
~wolf Mon, Dec 28, 1998 (12:05) #237
all i know is my aries daughter is a go-getter. she is a mother-hen, bossy, and so sweet that it's unbelievable. my son, the gemini, is shy, has problems doing one thing at a time (typical of us) and butts heads with me (another gemini); however, my kids do fine together. which explains why my daughter and i are close and my son and i are not. AND why my daughter and son are close. now my husband is like a fish out of water--he's a pisces.
~KitchenManager Tue, Jan 12, 1999 (23:53) #238
CANCER (June 21-July 22) Week of January 7, 1999 The ancient Greek word klimax had several meanings. My favorite: a ladder to heaven by which a dreamer's soul arrived at an erotic tryst with a divine being who imparted precious secrets. I bring this up, Cancerian, because I believe the fates will bestow the gift of a klimax on you this week. I hope you'll keep a pen and notebook by your bed so you can scribble down a record of your electrifying rendezvous right after it occurs. I swear it'll become a metaphorical talisman for you, the symbol of a new chapter in your mythic quest for intriguing love.
~riette Fri, Jan 15, 1999 (05:07) #239
Wer, tell us about how wonderful it is to have twins for sisters. You seem so vague about it.... BIG SMILE

~terry Tue, Feb 1, 2000 (00:31) #243
Mark this day, Jan 31st 2000 as the birthday for the new server. What sign does that make it?
~stacey Tue, Feb 1, 2000 (12:46) #244
wow... freaking me out... I clicked in here and saw kitchen_manager posts... I thought WER was back... no such luck, they are from January of 1999... Lemme see Paul, does that make the new server a Capricorn? Or would it be a Piceis, Piecis, Peices? (How in the FUK do you spell that word???)
~MarciaH Tue, Feb 1, 2000 (23:01) #245
He's been reading some of the same books I have...scary!!!

Any horrorscopes?
~aschuth Thu, Feb 3, 2000 (13:41) #251
My 'scope says, there's a dark beer awaiting me at superstar's office in Frankfurt, well - you'd guess it's a very unhip bar, but it's my home away from home. And: that beer'll be used to wash down something that proprietor cooked up...
~MarciaH Thu, Feb 3, 2000 (15:28) #252
No horrorscopes here except for the fact that anyone logged onto Spring can delete my entire copnference...other than that...!
~wer Sat, Jan 3, 2004 (15:00) #253
Hmmm, been three years... Well, here goes mine for today, and it would be a nice turn of events... "Did you ever get the fortune cookie telling you that you're likely to be at the center of any group's attention? If so, you must have done something to make it come true, because now everyone is staring at you, waiting for you to do something wonderful. Once you get over your self-consciousness, you'll appreciate your good luck. This is the time to try out a different routine or send up a trial balloon. The giving flows both ways, too. If you seek knowledge, someone here will be able to answer your questions."
~terry Sat, Jan 3, 2004 (15:44) #254
This is what http://astrology-online/sagittar.htm sez about my sign. Sagittarians have a positive outlook on life, are full of enterprise, energy, versatility, adventurousness and eagerness to extend experience beyond the physically familiar. They enjoy travelling and exploration, the more so because their minds are constantly open to new dimensions of thought. They are basically ambitious and optimistic, and continue to be so even when their hopes are dashed. Their strongly idealistic natures can also suffer many disappointments without being affected. They are honorable, honest, trustworthy, truthful, generous and sincere, with a passion for justice. They are usually on the side of the underdog in society they will fight for any cause they believe to be just, and are prepared to be rebellious. They balance loyalty with independence. Sagittarians are usually modest and are often religious, with a strong sense of morality, though they tend to overemphasize the ethical codes they follow and worship beliefs about God rather than God Himself. This means that, negatively, they regard rigid, unloving, intolerant adherence to ritual and conventional codes as more important than the truths they symbolize or embody. They sometimes pay lip service to religions and political parties in which they have ceased to believe because the outward forms satisfy them, yet they may not hesitate to switch allegiance in politics or change their system of belief if they see personal advantage to themselves in doing so. They have both profound and widely ranging minds, equipped with foresight and good judgement, and they can be witty conversationalists. They love to initiate new projects (they make excellent researchers) and have an urge to understand conceptions that are new to them. they think rapidly, are intuitive and often original, but are better at adapting than inventing and are at their best when working with colleagues of other types of character that compliment their own. They are strong-willed and good at organizing, a combination that gives them the ability to bring any project they undertake to a successful conclusion. Their generosity can be balanced by their extreme care at handling their resources. Sagittarians are ardent, sincere and straightforward in love, normally conventional and in control of their sexual natures. Yet if thwarted, they may easily allow their failure to embitter their whole lives or they may revenge themselves upon the opposite sex by becoming cynically promiscuous. They are more apt then the average to make an uncongenial alliance. If their marriages are successful, they will be faithful spouses and indulgent parents; but their innate restlessness will inspire them to use even the most satisfying mnage as a base from which to set out on their travels. They need to fell free and are often faced with the choice of allowing their careers to take over their lives at the expense of the love of their spouse and family. Sagittarian women are the counterparts of their men; even if they have no career to rival their love, they find it difficult to express affection and may run the risk of being thought frigid. In other personal relationships they are reliable, seldom betraying any trust given to them. They can, however, be impulsively angry and both male and female Sagittarians know how to be outspoken and exactly what expressions will hurt their adversaries most. On the other hand they are magnanimous in forgiving offenses and are responsible when looking after the elderly in the family. Their gifts fit Sagittarians for a number of widely differing professions. They are natural teachers and philosophers with a talent for expounding the moral principles and laws which seem to explain the universe. This gift enables them to be successful churchmen on the one hand and scientists on the other. The law and politics also suit them, as does public service, social administration, public relations and advertising. Travel and exploration naturally appeal to such restless souls and, if their opportunities are limited, they may find something of travel and change of scene in the armed forces or through working as a travelling salesman. Others may make fine musicians and, in the days before automobiles, they were said to be successful at horse trading and all activities, including sporting ones, concerning horses. This has been translated in modern terms into an interest in cars and aircraft - and again with emphasis on the sporting side racing, rallying etc. They are said to make good sports coaches, but their tastes in this direction may lead them into imprudent gambling, though the gambling instinct may be sublimated by carrying it out professionally as a bookmaker. The vices to which Sagittarians are prone are anger they tend to flare up over trifles; impatience - they want to rush every new project through immediately and demand too much of colleagues who cannot work at the pace they require; and scorn of the inadequacies of others while expecting fulsome recognition of their own efforts. They may in one sense deserve recognition, because in completing a major project they will sacrifice their health and family relationships; in their family's eyes they may merit condemnation. They can be exacting, domineering and inconsiderate in the work place; and boastful, vulgar and extravagant in their private lives. Their restlessness, if excessive, can jeopardize more than their own stability. some Sagittarians risk becoming playboys, wasting their lives away in frivolous pursuits. Others can develop a moralizing, religious fanaticism or else turn into hypocrites, their inner prudishness disguised by an outward appearance of joviality. Another side of the religiosity which is a danger in Sagittarians is superstition.
~terry Sat, Jan 3, 2004 (15:48) #255
And my wife's scope. CANCER (June 22-July 22) Don't expect anyone else to pay your bills for you. You need to refrain from being the generous one in the group. Take time to find out all you can. Also. Cancer! About your sign... The Cancerian character is the least clear-cut of all those associated with the signs of the zodiac. It can range from the timid, dull, shy and withdrawn to the most brilliant, and famous Cancerians are to be found through the whole range of human activity. It is a fundamentally conservative and home-loving nature, appreciating the nest like quality of a secure base to which the male can retire when he needs a respite from the stresses of life, and in which the Cancerian woman can exercise her strong maternal instincts. The latter tends to like and to have a large family. `Nest like' is an appropriate adjective for the Cancerian home, for its inhabitants tend to favor the dark, mysterious but comfortable type of house which has something of the air of a den about it, a place which belongs to the family rather than existing as a showcase to impress visitors. That is not to say that the Cancerian is unsociable, just that for them there is a time to socialize and a time to be solitary, and this is part of the apparent contradiction in their nature. Outwardly they can appear formidable - thick-skinned, unemotional, uncompromising, obstinately tenacious, purposeful, energetic, shrewd, intuitive and wise, sometimes with a philosophical profundity of thought verging on inspiration. Their intimates, however, may see a very different character, one with a sympathetic and kindly sensitivity to other people, especially those they love. They are able to identify with the situations of others because of the keenness of their imaginations. They are often over-imaginative and prone to fantasy, sometimes trying to shape their lives to fit some romantic ideal. They are appreciative of art and literature, and especially of drama, where the spectacle and ebb and flow of action and feeling particularly excite them. They may themselves possess considerable literary, artistic or oratorical talent. Their sharp ears and talent for mimicry can sometimes give them success on the stage, though their tendency to be emotional may make them overact. Interestingly - because they give the impression of being down-to-earth - they are often fascinated by the occult and are more open to psychic influence than the average. If they can reconcile the personal conflict of their urge to be outgoing with the reserve that causes them to withdraw into themselves, then at best they can inspire a generation, especially the youthful part of it, by their idealism. A job in which they can express this, and in which they can do well, would be as a leader in a youth organization. In their personal relationships they are mentally a mixture of toughness and softness, often emotional and romantic to the point of sentimentality in their fantasies; but in real life and in marriage, their loving is not so sentimental but tenaciously loyal. Even if they have affairs (and they may do so, for the male in particular is open to sensual stimulation), their first loyalty remains to spouse and family, of whom they regard themselves as the protector. Both the Cancerian man and woman love unreservedly, giving much and asking little in return - in fact, one of the most important lessons they have to learn is how to receive gracefully. They are too easily influenced by those they love and admire, and swayed by the emotion of the moment. They are also loyal friends, the negative side of their faithfulness being clannishness, the narrow patriotism of "my country right or wrong"; and closing ranks in suspicion and coldness toward outsiders. Cancerians have a retentive memory, particularly for emotionally laden events which they can recall in detail for years afterwards. they are strongly governed by childhood memories and since they live intensely in the past in memory and in the future in imagination, a chance meeting with someone for whom they had an unrequited love, even if they thought they had conquered the feeling, will easily rouse the emotion all over again. The Cancerian has many potential faults. They can be untidy, sulky, devious, moody, inclined to self-pity because of an inferiority complex, brood on insults (very often imagined), yet are easily flattered. They can be tactless and difficult yet, because they are normally ambitious, they will curry favor by floating with majority opinions, outlooks and fashions of the day. As a result they often change their opinions and loyalties and, indeed, their occupations, and lack stability. They are easily corrupted and, because they are convincing romanticizers, can make successful confidence tricksters. Their romanticism in another sense make them ardent supporters of causes, for example a football team with whose heroes they can identify in a world of fantasy. Their abilities fit the Cancerian for a wide range of occupations. As they are interested in what people are thinking and able to judge what they can safely be told, they can be good journalists, writers or politicians, though in this last capacity they are more likely to remain in the background rather than attain prominent positions of power. They may, indeed, change their party affiliations. They can serve in other departments of public affairs, especially those which involve looking after others, for example in any kind of service from welfare and nursing to catering - their own love of comfort and good living makes the Cancerian an excellent chef or housekeeper. They sometimes have a penchant for trade or business and are often successful as a captain of industry. This is because they are excellent organizers with a good sense of value and economy which they may combine with a flair for inventiveness and originality. The romantic side of their natures make them enjoy grubbing about in places where exciting discoveries may be made (old stamp collections in attics, etc.), and if they can do this professionally as a secondhand dealer or specialist in antiques, they will be happy. More common occupations which suit some subjects of Cancer are real estate broker, gardener and sailor. Physically they are average to below average in height, with a fleshy body and short legs in comparison with the rest of them. Their hair is usually brown, their faces round, their complexions pale, their foreheads prominent, their eyes small and blue or gray in color, their noses short, perhaps upturned, and their mouths full. They sometimes walk clumsily. Any my Sag scope for Nov 23 through Dec 21 SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 -Dec. 21) Focus, and concentrate on yourself and your future. Assist a relative or good friend by setting of a budget for them. Set your goals and stick to your guns. Hey, they're a bit behind in updating their site!
~wer Tue, Jan 13, 2004 (14:14) #256
I likes the sound of this one... "Technophobes take heart. Your dark ages are coming to an end in an era of user-friendliness. Technophiles get an open budget or find amazing sale prices. The equipment that you coveted for so long can finally be yours. As your arsenal grows, increased computing power connects you to a whole new world. Even if you're not wired up and jacked in by this time tomorrow, you'll gain extra mileage by your sudden ability to make sense of unintelligible manuals. You could write these things yourself, or at least make a living explaining them to people as paralyzed as you once were."

Ordered the new 1u server today. Give me a shout, wer.
~wer Wed, Jan 14, 2004 (13:31) #258
Uh, oh... Today's: "It's time for you to explain yourself to others. Understand, however, that this isn't a one day event--it will last for the next few weeks. You always want others to understand you, but it's difficult to know where to jump into your explanation of yourself. So, day by day, you put it off, until the gulf of what's not expressed is just too large to cross. Now, however, you can set your sights high and bit by bit you can tell it all."

Sag for Today or week of Jan 15 In Greek myth, Psyche was a pure-hearted young woman whose misadventures with love got her into trouble. One day she found herself at the mercy of the goddess Aphrodite, who commanded her to sort a big heap of mixed millet, wheat, and poppy seeds into separate piles. You're now in a situation that reminds me of Psyche's predicament, Sagittarius. Is there any hope for you to complete your own version of this seemingly impossible task? Yes, there is -- especially if you garner the kind of help that Psyche did. Feeling compassion for her plight, thousands of ants swarmed to her aid, separating the seeds for her overnight. Can you call on an equivalent ally? Pretty coll, hug. Got it at http://www.freewillastrology.com/horoscopes/sagittarius.html And for the Cancer's in the crowd: Cancer Horoscope for week of January 15, 2004 The "Weekly World News" reports that U.S. President George W. Bush, the world's most famous Cancer, plans to invade the moon and declare it the 51st state. To fill the office of the moon's live-in governor, Bush intends to appoint his former foe Al Gore, who garnered 540,520 more votes than the President in the election of 2000. In the weeks ahead, I urge you Crabs to come up with an equally nutty and brilliant strategy as you expand your empire to exotic new locales and shake off old adversaries. Hmm, think I'll blaki that

Your Horoscope for the week : March 10 2005 - March 16 2005 Privacy is your madden name, for you seldom allow others to see your true feelings. You remain focused at work and achieving the object you have laid out in front of you. On the home front, things will be on automatic cruise control, with a warm family scenario which will be creating a surreal and harmonious surrounding for you. Some of the other factors that will add to your peace of mind will be easy flow of finances, enhancement of personal possessions and the important quality time spent at home with family, children, loved ones, parents and in-laws. This new found environment will prod the easy venting of issues that have been swept under the carpet to be sorted out on a rainy day. However, be warned. Do not let your argument and impulsive side rock the boat. You have everything going your way with too much at hand to jeopardize.

Cancer's: You're known for your special concern about family and friends, and today's no exception. Well, there is one little difference. Right now, you've got some pretty crazy ideas about how to make them happy. Go for it!

in-tah-desting (work with me)...dunno what mine says, i've rather stopped looking!
~wolf Tue, Sep 20, 2005 (21:41) #263
ok for today: Gemini You are likely to hit that magic spot with someone today in which you can almost read each other's thoughts, dear Gemini. You may know exactly what that person is going to say before he or she says it. You may also find that your mind is working so fast that while someone is trying to make one point, you are already five steps ahead of where that person is trying to go. Put your gifts to good use. hmmmm.....must've not been talking about thisgemini today although i did say, a few times, the same exact thing someone else was saying at the same exact time!

This morning you could receive the materials you've been missing that were keeping you from moving forward with the project you've been itching to wrap up. By the afternoon you're at a real make-it-or-break-it point. Will you push forward and get it done and receive acclaim and congratulations from all sides? Or will you say ho-hum, who cares, and let the whole thing go to pieces? Phooey! Of course you'll make it happen.
~MarciaH Mon, Apr 10, 2006 (18:04) #266
GO !! I wonder how bad mine is. I usually pick the one that sounds most promising and stick with that one. This morning is, um, problematic. You may think youve got a handle on things and are prepared for almost anything, but this mornings vibes indicate that youre not there yet. Anger or resentment may be directed at a specific person that has let you down. Thankfully, this tension finally resolves itself during the afternoon and evening, bringing back your fun-loving, mischief-making sensual side. Oh Right...! (that is for the 11th so be forewarned

your daily horoscope - sagittarius You know that knowledge is what counts, and most importantly, that knowledge leads to wisdom. Some of your loved ones may question the types of information you're seeking out, but you know what you're doing.
