Norway. 4 million folks. Norway's popular woman prime minister(?), Brundtland, left power about six months ago. I remember seeing an impressive story about her enlightened govt. on 60 Minutes. What happened? I talked to r henning on NetMeeting in Norway today. He's in Stavanger, the oil city of Norway. According to r henning, Torbjorn Jaggland is prime minister now.

There will be elections in Norway after summer and the parties are talking about what they will do for the the elderly population and the sick people, according to r henning, my source on NetMeeting today.

Terry, have you ever read Sigrid Undset's "Kristin Lavransdatter"? That is my all-time favorite book, and it really turned me on to Norway. Someday I'll make it there....

friend of ours went to Norway for several weeks this summer. He plans to go back for good eventually... loved it!

We're still planning the "big trip"--spending time in the Scottish Highlands, then taking the ferry from, say, Inverness to Bergen. The girls need to be a little older, though.
