The Berkana Exchange is a learning community and resource exchange that connects pioneering leaders throughout the globe around their shared commitment to making a difference in and beyond their communities. These leaders are developing the capacity to solve their most pressing problemssuch as community health, ecological sustainability and economic self-relianceby acting locally, connecting regionally and learning globally. The Berkana Exchange works with leadership learning centers around the globe, in such places as India, Senegal and Zimbabwe. These are places where people gather to develop their capacity as community leaders. We believe substantive change happens locally through the collective actions of ordinary people. And we believe transformation happens globally when local efforts are connected and people learn together. In this online space, we invite you to learn about and contribute your knowledge to the people and places that practice pioneering leadership. Use the Explorer window on the left to find: Leadership learning centers that are sharing their experiences, wisdom and challenges in the Exchange Practice Areas where people advance their skills and exchange knowledge across difference and distance Information about the Learning Journeys we host to visit learning centers in our community You are welcome to explore this space as a guest. Or, if you wish to contribute your thoughts and questions, please join our community by clicking the link in the Login Box to request a complimentary account. We look forward to entering into an Exchange with you. Be sure to visit the Blog below for our latest stories and activities. Warmly, Bob Stilger and Debbie Frieze
