Who has the best selection of fine wines?
~terry #1
Should we ask John Mackovic?

Anyone would be better than me. Not much of a wine person. WER
~stacey #3
Mezzaluna had a pretty good list as I recall. So did Louie's off of Congress. There used to be a fabulous little underground place called the wine cellar. No food just spirits... closed down in '92 I believe. They had everything.
~terry #4
Hmmm, never heard of it, where was (is) it?
~stacey #5
downtown off of Congress somewhere
~terry #6
Near anything?
~stacey #7
it's been so long... um. All you could see from the street was a door. Then you had to walk down a flight of stairs to get to the entrance.
~terry #8
That will be hard to find. Hey, I got a press pass to the MTV games, Sharon Jones just called. These are the extreme games in Zilker park. So look for another photo slide show on http://www.spring.com sometime soon. I wish you could see these Stacey.

How does one go about getting press passes? WER
~terry #10
I'm getting mine from Sharon, but she only has three. If I hear of another, we'll have to press you into service as a reporter for the Spring.
~stacey #11
When are the games?
~terry #12
Today, Saturday and Sunday. I'm going to Midnight Madness at UT tonight: women's volleyball and mens basketball playaround at midnight.
~stacey #13
that usually happened on Halloween...
~KitchenManager #14
No, I meant in general. How does one apply for them. I already several places that I can report for, I just don't know the dynamics of applying for press passes for specific events. WER
~terry #15
I'm not sure, you have to know the right person. Just call the organization till you find the person in charge of passes.
~stacey #16
you can always try and convince someone you freelance for a small publication and see where it gets you. But I'd agree, once I got out of reporting, "who you know" became the key element.
~KitchenManager #17
ok WER
~KitchenManager #18
You did good, stacey, 'cause Chronicles readers said: Mezzaluna
~terry #19
Whenever I hear that I think of OJ.
~stacey #20
