I came to do a documentary about a documentary, Doug Block's
Home Page and I got what I came for,
but
the real story was the bus ride after and the stunning,
webstarstudded
Whole Foods bash. This WF Team is
positioning itself to become the
amazon.com of natural foods on the net.
Justin Hall, was much more cheerful, less campy in real life than the web
personae portrayed in the movie, we talk a lot in the documentary about a
documentary. Doug had a flash on the bus on the way over, you'll hear it
on the tape, about doing a commerce site for his film. But the night was
about the WF party and the web luminaries mingling around like
garden.com,
yahoo.com,
tripod.com, there must have been billions
of hits represented in that little bisto on 7th Street.
