GraphX Viewer -- While not as fast as ACDSee nor as
feature-replete as VuePrint or LView Pro, GraphX Viewer is an
image viewer that merits attention primarily for its excellent ability
to create and manage databases of thumbnail images. In addition to
this feature, GraphX Viewer has several options for image
manipulation, including emboss, equalize, color swapping,
inversion, and more. Also included is support for encoding and
decoding images in the UUencoded or XXencoded formats.
GraphX Viewer offers support for BMP, EPS/PS, GIF,
JPEG/JPG/JFIF, PCX, PNG, RAS, TGA/TARGA, TIF/TIFF, and
XWD image formats.
GraphX Viewer does come up short in several areas when
compared to the likes of LView Pro, VuePrint, and ACDSee. In
addition to lacking the image decoding speed of ACDSee, GraphX
Viewer also lacks LView Pro's support for transparent GIFs (the
soon to be released commercial version will have this feature for
GIF and PNG images) and VuePrint's extensive collection of
options and multitude of file types. However, GraphX View is
freeware and should be extremely useful to many users for its image
manipulation tools, thumbnail database management, and encoding
feature.
Pros: Excellent database management for image thumbnails, several
cool image manipulation tools
Cons: Lacks ACDSee's speed, lacks transparent GIF support, not
as feature-rich as LView Pro
New: This is the initial review of GraphX Viewer

Well, seeing how you wrote this more than 3 years ago, let me just add that that version of GraphX view holds up well today. In fact, I still use it to edit photos, cut and past collages and correct and add effects.
