Claire Danes, of "My So-called Life" and more recently "Romeo and Juliet" (together with pretty-boy Leonardo DiCaprio), is quite possibly one of the most wonderful things to grace our screens. Such genuine charm, innocence and pure, good-ol' beauty. *sigh*....
~mikeg #1
Anyone wanting to check out Claire should drop by to "My So-called Claire Danes Homepage", hosted at www.clairedanes.com, which is a superb (and one might say rather obsessive) collection of Claire-pics and info...
~mikeg #2
And here's a lovely pic just to encourage you all along the way... Claire!
~mikeg #3
And here's a lovely pic just to encourage you all along the way...
~pmnh #4
you have excellent taste, mike...
~pmnh #5
(but i still think you're being a little too hard on leonardo)...
~mikeg #6
Heeee :)) I'm afraid I just can't stand him. It's nothing personal - I'm sure he's a nice guy - he just seems a bit pretty to play any serious acting roles. But hey, who am I to say anything?
~terry #7
Do you feel guilty like you just went on a panty raid in the women's dorm, Mike?
~mikeg #8
Well, to be honest, I wouldn't know that feeling, having never been on one.
~pmnh #9
suppose panty raids are a purely american phenomenon (does rather make one proud, too)...
~autumn #10
Yeah, it's right up there with frat boys swallowing goldfish. God bless America!
~mikeg #11
now swallowing goldfish is something else. although i haven't done that. I guess we're a bit more restrained in our female underwear fetishes over here *grin*. We have to sneak about in the middle of the night and investigate, or something. Don't you find it strange, as an aside to this topic, that Babes is not taking off? How can we have such a rip-roaring topic in "Drool", and such a quiet one here? I thought it was *men* who were carnal, and women who were cerebral?
~mikeg #12
Here's another pic!
~mikeg #13
Click me for beauty! Dear oh dear...I nearly fell off of my chair when I saw this one!
~mikeg #14
This is getting a bit scary. I'm sat here checking ou the clairedanes.com website, and I just can't look at her - it's simply too exquisitely painful. How can someone affect another person like that? Especially somebody about whom I know nothing. Ideas?
~autumn #15
I can see why you find her so attractive, Mike, she has that wholesome, innocent, girl-next-door look that men seem to find so irresistible...did you get a load of that Timex? I can picture her wearing a plaid parochial school uniform. She probably embodies what you think of as the perfect girl (does she resemble the girls you tend to date?)
~pmnh #16
what i find most attractive about her is the "light" she exudes... (that's really cool, mike... doesn't matter the object, really... to feel such "exquisite pain" is to be fully alive... gotta take feelings like that as you find 'em, and just like SUBMERGE yourself in them)... (well, sometimes, anyway)...
~mikeg #17
Hehehe....Autumn she resembles the girls I would *like* to date *grin* Yeah, the "light" is it...that's a good word - she kinda glows! I played a RealVideo movie of a short interview with her last night - *swoon* :))
~mikeg #18
Apparently, she's not just stunningly beautiful, but stunningly intelligent, having been accepted into Yale university....
~pmnh #19
like gilbert blythe said... "being smart's even better than being pretty"... (this was via a second hand source, of course)...
~terry #20
See my comments relating to Claire Danes elesewhere.
~mikeg #21
She's back! I've restored her to being my backdrop image :-) Infinite pain whenever I start up. super super :)
~stacey #22
Try looser pants maybe.
~mikeg #23
good plan, stacey ;))
~jgross5 #24
Scarlett Johansson is in the phone book (911-666-1024). I called her. She whispered "hello" when she picked up. I whispered a horse laugh. She whispered CLICK. Next, I started over, this time with a 3-way conversation with me, Natalie Portman, and Scarlett. No whispers. It came off okay. You really should join in next time. They did most of the talking, and you would've evened things out some.
~mikeg #25
ummm....buh??
~jgross5 #26
Sorry, Mike. Trying to remember what could've been going through my so-called mind at the time. Think maybe it had something to do with how Spring was so new to me that I lost sight of how the topic is a form of structure, not an inducer to say whatever pops into my "mind". Shouldn't happen again, though, at least not in this topic.....not after Claire called me last night and was very candid about how many days may remain in my so-called life if I kept it up. I can't believe how friendly her voice sounded when she said that. She mentioned you in the same breath that she mentioned or speculated on what she might be doing five years from now. Our conversation lasted over an hour. Towards the end I noticed she was smiling through my bathroom window, on her cellular, standing in the rain. It wasn't just her voice, it was her eyes. I mean, they talked to me more than her voice. I said, "Let me let you in outa the rain." She said, "Okay, Plep." I went to the door, had a little trouble getting it opened, like someone was holding it closed, or something, from the other side; then it popped way open. Mike, she wasn't there. Claire not there. No one was. Only rain comin' down harder.
~mikeg #27
erm. i'm not scared. is anyone else? runs for the window... ;-)
~terry #28
Hey, I'm posting via webtv tonight so I can see all of mikes awesomepictures and backgroud. Good job, Mike! Claire Danes is on an SNL rerun tonight. Pretty nice. She was just in a skit where she played the daughter of an anthropologist who returned "Mr. Peepers" to Africia, a spastic critter who they're returning to the wild who kisses Claire all over her face and then starts dry humping a tree stump. Bizarre, strange. But Claire looks good and seems very sweet.
~autumn #29
I caught that last night, too, Terry! And have the dark circles under my eyes to prove it.
~terry #30
I missed most of it, but I did catch the Mr. Peepers sketch.
~riette #31
She's the girl from Romeo and Juliet, right? I think I liked her. Yes, good taste, Mike - hope your personal life reflects it too!
~mikeg #32
I've got a new pic! I'm going to get it scanned and then post it - it's *slobbery-worthy*
~riette #33
Oh dear. Open your umbrellas everyone!

~wolf #38
this is a great picture of Claire!!
~mikeg #39
I would say that it's gotta be pretty tough to take a bad picture of this girl :) I bet she even looks good first thing in the morning....
~MarciaH #40

~mikeg #41
