I came to the Springs on the suggestion of the coordinator of active motorcycle bulletin board. I saw a ca r conference and thought I'd see the same activity!
But the first five conferences make this look like the Volvo 480 page, and most of those conferences are in German. The last three conferences are almost bare!
Are bikers more fanatical about bikes than drivers are about cars? Where are the car fans? As Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes said: "Wake Up, Everybody!"

Y'all can crossover. That's what I'm asking myself, where are the
car fans. There is life outside of Volvos?

My question is, "Is there life inside Volvos?"
Actually, there must be, otherwise all the effort Volvo goes into to protect & preserve life is going to waste!

O.K., there are no minivan fans here, no supercar fans here, no Subaru fans here, no Morgan fans here!
Does anyone here even read Road & Track? Yeesh!
Where can I find a site that actually discusses cars? Apart from Volvo 480's that is!

Terry, you should find the guy who has the Austin Cool Car Club
I bet he has a great database. He would broker deals for people who wanted to rent out there bad ass cars to the Motion Picture business or commercials.
He would get into this!

Well, at least we all still look.
I'm trying to think of something interesting from the February issue of Road & Track, but nothing comes to mind. Are cars really becoming that stale?

We need to *pump it up*; I miss all the traffic. Should we try
and get some links from the more popular car web sites?

Well, I can post around AOL car chats, much as I hate going there. Its hard to sit around waiting to find an intelligent being to give the URL to! Lemme think a little on this..

They are all male and have a drivers license and I qualify in neither category.
You gotta go out and grab them back, just as I have been doing - shamelessly - for Geo. Just wish the train-hoppers would respond in the Austin conference...

No idea how to reach El Sam Blob, most of them were from Europe and much of this conference was in German language.

How odd... Have seen Sam's name often from long-ago posts but nothing since I came "down" out of Drool (or, is it "over"?!) At least, I responded to your post yeaterday before I got the email...Guess the rest are looking for a place to park?

Hi, folks!
I was just clearing out my e-mail and came across one from Terry reminding me about this place. I came back but couldn't remember my password (it has been four years...) so I signed up under a new name.

Where are you? I'm in Hawaii (seems that's the suject of this topic.)
For some perverse reason, the day is way too sunny and beautiful to stay inside to watch the Superbowl. Oh well, got the junk food and will make it disappear Hawaiian style.

I am still in Kingston, Jamaica, the land of my birth. I was doing a work experience programme in Mexico some years ago and some of my posts were from there.

Fascinating! You are at the same latitude as I am. You have no locally active volcanoes, thankfully. Your sort go BOOOM!!! Not good. We also have snow. You only have cricket (I LOVE cricket!) soft flowery nights and wonderful people. *sigh* If I did not live in Hawaii, I'd be envious!

And the most murders per capita of all the nations on Earth. We finally passed the Bahamas on that list (a few years ago, Jamaica was #4 and Bahamas was #1).
I wonder if I shouldn't emigrate to somewhere safer, like New York or Los Angeles. Or Belfast or Beirut, for that matter...

Hilo is known for their level of violence - we seem to be too lazy to bother.
My sympathies. Jamaica is supposed to be tropical, seductive and gentle. I wonder where we all lost it?! Honolulu is making up for the laid back-ness of Hilo. They can have it.
Be safe! You are way too sensible and kind to be living in a world of killing - passion or not!
