Work toward the day when fine authentic Screwed conversation will be afforded the same respect given to the haute cuisine of France.

I think we'll be more likely to be classified under 'saucirs'...

you know, don't you, that it's all in the wrist...
~riette Wed, Dec 16, 1998 (12:38) #3
ha-ha! I know! Rhythm is important too though...
~KitchenManager Wed, Dec 16, 1998 (12:50) #4
Speed, at times, can compensate for rhythm but there is no replacing endurance (assuming, of course, that repetition is a form of endurance)
~PT Wed, Dec 16, 1998 (14:33) #5
Repetition is rhythm.
~KitchenManager Wed, Dec 16, 1998 (18:43) #6
it can be...it can be arhythmic as well...
~riette Thu, Dec 17, 1998 (03:21) #7
Like variations on a theme.
~PT Thu, Dec 17, 1998 (12:47) #8
OK I'll admit it. You lost me. How can anything be repetitive and arhythmic at the same time?
~KitchenManager Thu, Dec 17, 1998 (23:51) #9
do it today, once or twice tomorrow, not at all for a coupla more, ten or twelve times the following day, etcetera... the action is repetitive, but there is no rhythm

Repetative and arythmic can actually go together - musically speaking.

OK, I see what you mean. By the way, when I was working EMS, I came across an old lady who's heartbeat had about the same beat as the example wer gave. During our training we all took turns listening to it. She got quite a kick out of all the attention, and we all got a kick out of the heartbeat.

Rapper's heartbeat...

I thought at the time we should get a musician to write music to it.
~riette Sun, Dec 20, 1998 (01:41) #14
YOU should have. Would've made an interesting addition to your incredible job variety!
~PT Sun, Dec 20, 1998 (16:30) #15
You grant me a talent that I do not posess. I cannot compose music. Maybe I just haven't tried enough.
~riette Mon, Dec 21, 1998 (05:22) #16
Oh, I think you'd be a good composer - you seem very creative in many ways.
~PT Mon, Dec 21, 1998 (15:33) #17
I guess I'll have to try again.
~PT Mon, Dec 21, 1998 (15:34) #18
Thank you for the vote of confidence.
~riette Tue, Dec 22, 1998 (03:47) #19
It's a vote of first hand experience.
~PT Tue, Dec 22, 1998 (10:30) #20
Thanks again, I'll let you know what happens.
