In this usage, the colon indicates a list or related item(s) to the words preceding it, which the "line" phrase does not, but, 100 years from now, who'll care anyway? ;-)

I get the message. Boy, it is really tempting to change the theme now but I understand.

LOL, the new theme does sound funny and RE's memoirs or Colin have have supplied me with some much needed fodder ;-) How about the two themes be somehow blended together? that way those whom have prepared their posts need not re-work them or can adjust, but this way it suits those whom would prefer the new theme.

Is this birthday party going public? What This Girl Wants is general enough to allow anything really but if I had planned something specific along those lines I wouldn't want the theme to change now. But for the sake of making the theme more contemporary for the visitors, maybe you could do a Welcome to Camp Collywobbles come inside and find out What This Girl Wants.Or something.
Think with all the latest news it will be a free for all anyway....

Welcome to Camp Collywobbles, Frothy, and your own palatial cabin!
You'll have privacy to indulge in some activities that should relax you, even if you do become a bit giggly,
but you'll also have time to work on forcing open that jammed window of opportunity.
How can it be done, you ask? Simple! Just apply What This Girl Wants to your career goals and standards.
WHAT--Working Habitually At Theatres.
It's been a L-O-N-G time since you were on stage, and I'd like the opportunity of seeing you in a live performance before my and completely fail to function.
THIS--Trying Hollywood, Insuring Screens.
Why not meet the in Hollywood and audition for a big-budget project with a big-name studio that will actually promote your picture?
GIRL--Get Interested in R-rated Labels.
Nothing wrong with showing skin when you have a tantalizing physique like yours. I'd like to feel some scorching again when watching you in a love scene.
(Please note, contrary to RE's statement, Frothy's non-missionary positions. )
WANTS--World-wide Acknowledgement Noting Talents & Skills
The Darcys may have been both blessings and banes for you, but look at the recognition you received. A little knowledge may be a dangerous thing, but little name recognition for an actor is a dangerous thing, especially one as talented as you. What this girl wants, besides some of this for herself, is for you to do quality work in films, TV, and theatre that will garner that recognition for you and your talents.
Oh, what the hell. You're talented AND gorgeous, and I'll be in the audience, watching whatever you do. "Cry 'Havoc!' and let slip the dogs of war!"
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FROTHY!

what this girl wants.
You dont want to find yourself on the dark side of the Moon, so just click on her name above and send her an email. Her ideas and advice you must hear. Plus, she can also suggest some fab CDs for you.

Ok everyone, listen up, its time to meet the new Camp Counselor, Rupert!
Hello happy Collywobbles campers! My name is Rupert and I want to make sure you brought essential supplies needed at camp.
For those middle of the night trips to the outhouses, or to see your best friend in another cabin.
Cookies and marshmallows for roasting and just in case the munchies creep up, *cough* unexpectedly.
Since this is the 21st century, youd need one of these
Rather than one of these, since you seem to get lost on the way to finding some interesting projects rather frequently of late.

I've been away for a while so I hope I get this right. I heard that this year's Birthday theme was "What This Girl Wants"
I figured that Collywobbles and I have a few of things that we would BOTH want. Like world peace, no roaming charges, loooooong Italian vacations, coffee for everyone on the planet, a loo always close at hand and a few blunts (jussss keeding...about the coffee )...but it's not about what HE wants anymore! It's allllll about what I want...and I have a list.
Hmmmm....let me think.....
Okay, maybe I'll start with what this girl DOESN'T want.
David Hasselhof, naked....and with puppies....don't want !
and......this "meat hat". Don't think it would look good with my party outfit (or any party outfit). I'll pass...thanks!
And this guy.... Mr. Fitness Made Simple....he scares me...don't need him!
And now...the things I would like, more specifically, What This Girl Wants from Mr. Firth.
First, I'd like him to and then to and then I'd like to see his or his ...
I can see Colin is a bit confused by my list....
I'll make it simple....Colin, what this girl wants is more of this (Cuz I can really get behind a cause that makes you wet! ):
and some more of this (Snogging Colin Firth in the snow while wearing tiny knickers is probably as perfect as it gets.well.it could be more perfect if there were unicorns and a rainbow and maybe a few butterflies):
Collywobbles

Hello hello wonderful ladies of Drool... Well it's been a year already (how time flies when you're high as a kite) but we haven't wasted our time here at Cryptic smoking exotic ciggies like we did two years ago. And, what a coincidence, we heard Mr. F. has just been caught red handed, that is, the hand in the stash box (so that should be "acapulco gold handed", mhhh that's a bit stretched, even for us).
What a change from the sedate mundane bordeline depressed guy of last year!
Is it the 46th hitting (no pun intended) my friend????
And WHOA WHOA WHOA! the party is already getting out of control! Naked butts here and there, and I'm not talking about no Advocate here miss Sue, no no no.
Well, it seems to us the drool board as well as our dear boy need a serious kick in the backside, and a reality check, all for their own good of course.
And since we're also in for a little money (as usual), let me do you the honor of our new product: a video game based on our actual accomodations here at Cryptic, where you've all just won a fantastic week-end (incl. transfers from the airport AND a free case of beer. We may be against drugs, but boy, how we drink):
CRYPTIC Inc. presents
welcome to camp collowi... calliwoo... oh *fuck it*!
welcome to BOOT CAMP DROOL, you pot-smoking no-good pinko scums !
Now you're going to suffer. No mercy. No more whining. No more fumbling for your words or fishing for a line.
After a week with us, you'll be the toast of Hollywood.
Our fine establishment has been welcoming patients, err... sorry, clients since 1854. Our motto: quit the trip & get a grip.
Just check out our alumni books, that'll bring you down:
Here is our first promotion, the class of 1854, but hey! what is this ???? what's going on in the ranks !
oh never mind... Just jump to 1914 will you ? But... What the... On this guy's knees, is this a...?
Hrmpf! I thought the archives had been dusted but obviously.. Oh no, now it's the 1945 class !
Talk about a bad start.. Well I hope it won't have running away from BOOT CAMP DROOL because we had a few things for you in mind.
Now Mr. F., get ready, slip into something comfortable, go fetch yourself a beer, and we'll start the game at the first level.

Yippee! Cryptic's back, and the tears are rolling down this reader's cheeks. This is bound to distract me from what I'm working...but nevermind, we've got all day!
welcome to BOOT CAMP DROOL, you pot-smoking no-good pinko scums!
LOL! Evelyn would love this. But pls amend: 'you pot-smoking no-good pinko scum who sit in first class on planes.'
Our motto: quit the trip & get a grip.
Ha!
Tress, what's with the censorship? Have to agree with this: Cuz I can really get behind a cause that makes you wet! Truly a no-brainer. ;-)

Gather round my little Collywobbles. Time to play some games! First one is called...
Who Me, Embarrassed?
This is a fun who is it? game. Pass out sheets of paper and have everyone write down one embarrassing thing that has happened to them. Crumple it up and then collect them in a bowl or paper plate. Then go around in a circle one-by-one and have each person take a crumpled paper and read the embarrassing situation aloud. They can then try to guess who the person is.
Ok, everyone done? Ill pick the first one. *unfolds paper*
Oh my, well you only had to write one, but heres one with 4. Lets see who this might
be..
** I cant do a viable American accent which limits the roles I can take in Hollywood.
** I seem to be attracted to directors and screenwriters with limited experience and potential for limited exposure to worldwide audiences, and to legendary directors who cant get projects off the ground or seem to put them off indefinitely for other ones.
** I make little to no effort to court Hollywood, which negates the need for me to put effort into perfecting my American accent.
** Hugh Jackman seems to be getting all the roles I could be really good in because Im just not *that* bankable (see # 1 and 3).
Alright campers, time to guess who that might be.Anyone? Anyone?
Ok, that was fun, wasnt it? Next, well play that old standby..
Truth or Dare
Colin, how about you go first. And for you, well do a Truth and Dare just to show everyone how to play and give all these girls what they want..some insight into where your career might be going and why.
Ok, Colin, first is Truth..
Do you really have any significant professional ambition at all at this point or would you rather just fade into semi-obscurity, taking the kids to school everyday, lending your name and image to various ad campaigns for a variety of charitable organizations and acting in the occasional TV project or kiddie film (with or without epic scope)?
And the dare.
I dare you to actively pursue significantly viable projects in Hollywood or elsewhere that put your considerable talents and appeal to their proper use before these lovely ladies interest start drifting to someone like the guy whos been heavily compared to you lately, Richard Armitage. He can brood with the best of 'em and wears a pretty mean cravat, too...
or not
Enough of the games. Time to get outside for some exercise!
*fingers and toes crossed I transferred this all correctly*

Found this older AP report of Katie Courics press conference for the Television Critics Association after it was announced she was taking over the CBS Evening News:
PASADENA, Calif. - Katie Couric said Sunday shes ready to take over a revamped CBS Evening News that aims for in-depth, nuanced coverage of world events and more than ready to be the newscaster rather than the news.
Im really excited, obviously, to get started, to stop talking about this and actually to start doing the job, Couric said at a news conference.
Couric and her new boss, CBS News and Sports president Sean McManus, sought to focus on the newscast itself without giving away too many specifics. Shes succeeding longtime anchor Dan Rather, who left last month.
It will be different, it will be new, it will be fresh and most of all it will be intelligent, it will be relevant and it will be transparent, McManus said.
When asked what changes she envisioned making to the programs format, Couric replied that she would be bolstering the slate of roving reporters from which the Evening News draws. Her chief correspondent for in-depth looks at social issues is expected to be a future Nobel Prize candidate and sometime-when-he-feels-like-it actor Colin Firth.
At one point, while questioning was under way, Couric bristled in her highly likeable way about some concerns over Mr Firths journalistic credentials. She replied that it should be evident to all that CBS needs more pretty faces on air during the news. You wouldnt want to look at Bono, would you? is how she illustrated it for the press corps. Moreover, she alluded to a personal commitment made to an international philanthropic organization, which she referred to as the TTB, to keep the spotlight on meaningful issues. Couric then interrupted the press conference to ask whether her coffee was Fair Trade. One of her producers was subsequently sent out to Trader Joes to procure the right beans.
Couric was also asked about another new initiative referred to as Firth Features and the rumor that Colin Firth might be chief correspondent of news aimed at children. She responded that her producers are working most vigorously in this growth area and expect the Saturday morning program to be on air once certain preproduction decisions have been made. Her creative team needs to determine the type of wig Firth will wear, the music and the garish color scheme for the sets. Chartreuse is a distinct possibility.
Negotiations are under way to bring Thomas Sangster onboard to be the new Downing Street correspondent, as hell next play Tony Blair in a big-budget film in the development phase for Universal Pictures.
Courics daughters are believed to be co-producing the Sangster segments.
McManus urged patience for the new program, saying it would take time to evolve.

Tress, welcome back...and where are the X-rated pictures???
Sophie, I don't know it I could make it at your boot camp, but I'd sure try since there's one face I keep seeing there.
Dorine, remind me never to play Truth or Dare with you!
Karen, I know more is coming...can't wait. :-)

Now that I think about it, seems rather appropriate that Frothy is replacing Woody Harrelson in Then She Found Me. ;-)

This Girl Wants to see you on the silver screen frequently- NOT, the Evening News.

(sung to Allan Sherman's "Hello Mudduh, Hello Faddah!")
Hello Drooler, gobble, gobble.
Here I am at Camp Collywobble.
Camp is very unrestraining,
And I'm lighting up a joint--so entertaining.
I went tripping with dear Rupert,
But he left me as the culprit.
I remember seeing boss-men,
But I giggled so much, I really lost it then.
All these Droolers love my wobblies,
And the lake has naked bodies,
And none here acts like a rector,
So I happ'ly follow rules set by the camp director.
Now I don't want this should cause fear,
But my roommate has no stash here.
It's not cool to act like a narky,
So he's omitted from our late night toking party.
Wait a minute, folks are smiling,
And they all look so beguiling.
Gee, it's fun here--I feel better,
And I don't give a damn who may see this letter.

Sophie, Crypto est fantastique comme d'habitude.
I know I've left some out, but I'll try to get back to the party later.

That and 'Toilet' were the two most important signs IMO. ;-)
