Wondered if you were going to pop by today. Capital! Capital! Love when Katie drops by for hard hitting interviews and content, Karen. Nice to see this move to CBS hasn't changed her. ~KarenR Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (15:19) #1605
(Dorine) Love when Katie drops by for hard hitting interviews and content, Karen. Nice to see this move to CBS hasn't changed her. She's a charter member, as you'll recall, and she is also the managing editor of the Evening News, so she gets to call certain shots. ;-)
~gomezdo Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (15:19) #1606
LOL, Moon! Have you taken out stock in You Tube recently?
~KarenR Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (15:20) #1607
Harvey, have you ever noticed how frothy clouds are? Colin, were you high as well when you signed on for Nanny McPhee and The Last Legion?

~pianoblues Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (15:52) #1612
Hi Frothy, I'm back and have brought along your Gingerbread Birthday Cake, which has been freshly baked and iced by my own fair hands. It took a while because I first needed to free some non-presentational, but tastey Jamb which had got caught in between a Sash Window!! Please do have your cake and eat it, whilst I go gather up your Birthday gifts
~pianoblues Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (16:07) #1613

What does this Girl Want? How?
~KarenR Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (16:36) #1615
*hee hee hee* I think Mari is having cake with Colin and Mumia now. ;-)
~lindak Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (16:38) #1616
Nobel Prize candidate and sometime-when-he-feels-like-it actor Colin Firth. LOL! Had a school function, but I can see the party is still so very hot. I can hardly breathe the air is thick with, uh, well. Ha! And the brownies, Lousia. Party on!
~pianoblues Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (16:41) #1617
LOL, good post Linda! and I can think of another way to 'free Frothy', (at least with the aid of something) coming up real soon ;-)
~CFE Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (17:05) #1618
Can I join the party even if that's been an (awfull) long time since I last came on Drool? The previous posts were all great, I couldn't stop laughing (and sometimes drooling)! Back to the main topic: HAPPY BIRTHDAY Colin Here are my presents: a fly swatter to get rid of Thomas Sangster a razor to get rid of your beard when needed (I do my best as I didn't quite understand this year theme ;-))
~KarenR Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (17:23) #1619
(Sylvie) I do my best as I didn't quite understand this year theme ;-) You did wonderfully. It isn't necessary to understand the theme (although Sophie can probably explain it to you better in French) but to enjoy the day and participate in wishing Colin well...or whatever you think. ;-)
~MaryJoy Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (17:30) #1620
De plane! De plane! Smiles everyone, Smiles! Let us welcome these ladies to camp Collywobbles - a place where all their fantasies can come true! Hmmm - It seems our guests have very vivid imaginations! I do not think Mrs. Frothy and the MPAA would approve of some of these fantasies - I am not sure a few of them are even physically possible. Other popular requests involve a certain Mr. Atom Egoyan and his tongue being disabled in a very painful and permanent manner. I am also sorry to say my little friend that our guests would like you to magically turn into Freddie Highmore or disappear altogether. And we will give them what they want? Err - not exactly Good Heavens! Have you not been paying attention? At Camp Collywobbles we always give them something other than what they actually requested. For some reason our guests always leave euphoriously happy!
~KarenR Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (17:34) #1621
What This Girl Wants Colin, Id like to introduce you to some people who make films that are both critically acclaimed and have distributors and are thus able to be shown in theatres throughout the country. But before I do, let me explain that there are art-house films and there are art house films. Some are destined for obscurity for a reason. Usually the reason is they arent all that good. and only a very limited number of people would be expected to be interested in paying good money to see them. But there are art house films that are fabulous and become critical darlings. Youll note that the key Oscar categories (acting, writing and directing) have been taken over by indie films. The trick is to look for talented directors and solidly compelling scripts, whose subject matter resonates with the public. These peoples films get made. Let me give you an example: Since you probably havent heard of any of these people before, Im going to give you a little information on each. This is Martin Scorcese. Hes been nominated for lots and lots of Oscars, though he hasnt won. He has a big film coming out soon, with six male leads! Surely, he can find something for you, especially since you do an excellent Robert DeNiro. This is Ron Howard. Most everyone has gotten past his being Opie on a show you never watched. But he makes solidly entertaining films that get nominated for Oscars. OK, the DaVinci Code wasnt his best. Maybe he treated the material too reverentially, but Russell Crowe and Tom Hanks love working with him and that should be good enough for you. Now we have Steven Soderbergh. He kind of alternates these days between big budget junk and meaningful, socially conscious films, not unlike yourself. The trick is to land a role in one of the latter. But you may need to enlist some of your wifes family to lock George Clooney in his villa so he wont be available for the film himself. (If you need the directions to Lake Como, I can provide them.) See, theyre friends and they have a joint production company. (Ever hear of those?) Steven and George use their company to make the films that they really want to make, instead of waiting for people to talk them into doing dreck. I bet you recognize him! Yes, Clint Eastwood used to be in a lot of spaghetti westerns, but hes progressed. Quite a lot. He went forward. You understand the concept, dont you? Not only does he act, but he writes, produces and directs. I guess, you could say hes a real achiever and many people respect him for his body of work. Ill bet you were tickled to hear that a movie about two seemingly heterosexual pardners who, under circumstances they never anticipated, cross the line and then feel the need to cover it up forever was a major contender for an Oscar. It probably gave you a little thrill until you heard the title and it wasnt Where the Truth Lies. You see, this director, Ang Lee, understood what he could show and how he could portray it. Thats what separates a good director from...well, I dont know, an alien from another planet. I could go on and on and fill these pages with the names and pictures of respected directors. Lest you think Im ignoring many fine British directors, like Stephen Frears, Anthony Minghella, Mike Figgis, Sam Mendes or Michael Apted, Im not. Im sure youve run into them and they probably know who you are. The trick is to work with someone who has progressed beyond television.
~gomezdo Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (17:36) #1622
Colin, I do hope you're enjoying your party. I know I am, though I suspect I've not had enough to eat to go with all the champagne, as I'm not a big fan of caviar. Here's a few items you might find interesting to peruse on your downtime between projects and that may come in handy in the near future, too. There's more to come that you may find interesting and useful, so don't disappear!
~pianoblues Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (17:37) #1623
Dear Frothy, As promised Ive wrapped your presents. The first present might need some explaining. Heard of your plight when stuck in the sash so thought a sash repair kit might come in handy! I can provide full instruction and help, should you get stuck again! Together with a new pair of slippers. I thought you might like a change from your furry Honey Bears to grrrrrr Char Monkeys and also included is another new pair of presentation underpants, which, by the by, I am hoping you will agree to model here later?? ;-)
~KarenR Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (17:41) #1624
LOL! I was wondering when those presentational underpants might make an appearance, Sue! Joy, TS with the mustache will be giving me nightmares. ;-)
~pianoblues Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (17:45) #1625
Karen - ROFLOL, Just couldn't resist! I am hoping to persuade Birthday Boy to wear them later, so watch this space ;-)) Sylvie and Joy - Glad you could join in the fun :-)
~lindak Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (17:46) #1626
Way, too funny, Karen Sue, excellent sash repair kit! See, theyre friends and they have a joint production company. (Ever hear of those?) LOL, watch it--Evans, Firth, Giuggioli:-()
~lindak Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (17:47) #1627
Oh, sorry, I didn't say that, Karen did.
~KarenR Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (17:52) #1628
Yeah, I'll admit to saying it. But he's got to be friends with the *right* people. Should've made that one clear. Friends with a recognizably talented and influential director. The director is the key, not just the friend part.
~MaryJoy Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (17:54) #1629
I have agonized for months over what to get you for your birthday. I finally found the present for you! It is the perfect accessory for all those Paparazzi photo shoots. Enjoy!
~lindak Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (17:58) #1630
My dear fellow I told you to smoke a joint before shooting this scene

~KarenR Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (18:08) #1633
(Moon) between you and Kathryn, the man's been toasted and roasted. You must mean Dorine, don't you? Hey, it was from the heart, even though most people think I don't have one. ;-)
~Moon Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (18:13) #1634
(Karen),Hey, it was from the heart, even though most people think I don't have one. ;-) Are you are from Chicago? Parlo con mio amico Capone. ;-)
~lindak Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (18:22) #1635
(Karen)Camp is very unrestraining, And I'm lighting up a joint--so entertaining ... The food's horrendous But the pot's stupedous Rupert spanks me Then he thanks me Don't think I'll leave here Till next leap year...
~KarenR Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (18:30) #1636

Karen o'Connor attempts to find Where The Career Lies: We arrange to meet at the coffee shop at Camp Collywobbles. Vincenzi Frothio,or Colin Firth as he was known in those days.He had been my hero.I had discovered Jane Austen because of him. Bridget Jones was my role model, because I might get a man like Mark Darcy. But a few years and some truly awful films down the line,he had resorted to British TV films and 'Kids films'.He tried to make amends by adopting an American accent,a cross between Bill Gates and Jerry Lewis, for his next film but it was too late. And now I was writing his story. He was being paid $2995 to tell all to approximately 500 women worldwide who would pay untold sums for whatever crap cut and paste I could come up with. And there he was,my idol, wearing a cheap 1970's retro red jumper and embarassing genital revealing white pants and pouring out tepid hours old coffee. 'Hi Vince or should I call you Colin?' 'No Vincenzi or Frothy. There's no shame in being a Barista. Where I come from 30% of the time it is a noble trade. I even received the highest honour for my services to the coffee making.' He spoke in a mixture of received English pronounciation,Italian and St Louis American. 'So you know why I'm here Frothy. My publishers are paying good money for your story.' 'OK but we've got to be quick because there are 10 women out there gagging for me to walk past the Olympic sized swimming pool with my enormous privates swinging around in my lucencent white trousers' 'Well, I need to know what happened to the talented man who had so much promise, who was kind to his fans, incredibly photogenic.........but most of all I want to know about....the acting...' 'I'll tell you about the Ethiopan Coffee Farmers, the Kalahari Bushman, the Asylum Seekers,My fingers getting jammed in the window,.....but you will not,... you will not mention my Career'
~gomezdo Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (18:46) #1638
ROTFL, Felicity!!
~KarenR Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (18:48) #1639
(K'OC) but most of all I want to know about....the acting...' Aha! She writes v.g. film noir. I'll tell you about the Ethiopan Coffee Farmers, the Kalahari Bushman, the Asylum Seekers,My fingers getting jammed in the window,.....but you will not,... you will not mention my Career' LMAO! Brilliant! I predict a career for you at The Onion. ;-)
~soph Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (18:48) #1640
**ra-ta-ta-ra-ta-ta-again!** Well now private Frothy, you seem pretty pleased with yourself and the way you handled level 1, but I know you cheated: you sent an old animatronicolin, i recognized it, it comes straight from the class of 2003. **cheat!** yes, you're a cheat. but hey, cheating's okay, as long as you can run away with it. it's a bit like making bad movies and still grabbing awards you know. Or maybe you don't. But that's another story anyway. okay, you'll have another go at training, just because i've had a special request from some Major Drooleuse who wants to see you sweat (oh yeaaaaah). Now come on, give us all you've got, one-two, one-two! Now what the... what kind of a sissy training is that ? we're not here to practice for some goddamn Ziegfield follies in some goddamn british ballet or something ! And not even a single chest hair showing on our radars, come oooon ! we're here to conquer Hollywood, with manly chest and all ! oh, never mind... (hmmm, guys, i thing we should seriously think about taking out the camp in "boot camp" though). LEVEL 2: FIRST COMBAT Okey-tokey. it's no joke anymore. here's the rub my friend: defend your territory, fight like a tiger. Xcuse me ? You want to know if the tiger is middle class or lower middle in order to play it more accurately ? never mind the tiger, the competition, it's the competition that is really hard these days. Go for it ! ooookay... well, what can i say. it seems you're getting nowhere... but you can't just get stuck at level 2, why don't you ditch "floppy" my little "frothy", move it and get ready for: LEVEL 3: CLOSE ENCOUNTERS but of course ! Now there's a challenge for you ! and you didn't get any training for that, poor baby... Okay everyone, listen, i need a volunteer instructor for Frothy, he's got to cram this program here, come on, no teaching refs needed, we at Cryptic provide the curriculum ! Goooooood, instant crash course, you're about to make it, that is, if you lower your head in the corridor leading back to level 3, for the giant red fingernails are hovering around.
~lindak Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (18:52) #1641
I'm dying here. LOL, Felicity. Sophie, those kicks are making me LMAO
~KarenR Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (18:55) #1642
(cryptic) i need a volunteer instructor for Frothy, he's got to cram this program here, come on, no teaching refs needed But we have someone who has taught this course before! Master Sargeant Moon. Blow that whistle, honey, or anything else you want! ;-)
~pianoblues Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (18:57) #1643
Problematic thing is, I seem to be focused on Colin's 'body of work' ;-)
~soph Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (19:01) #1644
(karen) "But we have someone who has taught this course before! Master Sargeant Moon." Master Sargent, are you kidding me ????? i mean, she's been trying so hard for so long, she's put so much work into this training already, they ought to have made her a five-star general, i'm telling you ! general moon ! general moon to the rescue !
~pianoblues Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (19:03) #1645
I could never find Moon's kissing course. How about a sequel? ;-)
~soph Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (19:05) #1646
ROTF Sue ! what a classy piece i'm seeing through this purple haze ! it fits perfectly with felicity's mood ! (no wet towel fights frothy, and don't run, the floor is slippery)
~gomezdo Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (19:08) #1647
(Linda) Blow that whistle, honey, or anything else you want! ;-) Ha! Good one!
~KarenR Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (19:23) #1648
(sophie_ Master Sargent, are you kidding me ????? Nope, she refused to go to OCS because she wanted to stay as close as possible to one particular recruit. MSgts (and other NCOs) are the trainers in boot camps. Isn't that right Ada? (Sue) I could never find Moon's kissing course. Really? I'm pretty sure I have it on my crib sheet of Hall of Fame birthday posts. Amazing that all the graphics from 2001 are still in place: http://www.spring.net/yapp-bin/restricted/read/drool/110.477
~gomezdo Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (19:36) #1649
Well, Mr. Frothy Collywobble, in case you finished skimming through the 2 books I just gave you, perhaps some lighter reading would be more to your "taste" at the moment...
~soph Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (19:42) #1650
**ra-ta-ta-ta-oh-good!-more!** Almost there Private! Aaallllmost there ! Now there's a tough bit: LEVEL 4: FRIEND OR ENNEMY basic rules of this level: you a re provided with a , as well as with a . The game is easy, some you hit, some you give a hit. Choose wisely. So, what's the score... GOOD! that's 3000 points ! you made it Frothy m'boy !
~pianoblues Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (19:55) #1651
LOL, thanks for the link Karen. I shall 'go to it' ;-) Sophie,LOMA, those high kicks are hillarious. Love the way Colin swings his hips ;-) BTW, Sylvie, your fly swat was hillarious. BTW, message to Colin, as well as my being focused on your **Ahem** body.......... (well, you do fill out those white, open necked shirts, breeches and pants nicely ........;-) On a *serious note* I do also enjoy your work too :-) but beware of
~soph Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (20:02) #1652
Okay, you made it Frothy, so you'll be rewarded in this special level with a few prezzies, the soldier's looting before bedtime if you want. Just follow the general rule: Yeeeeesss, I know it's froth, but that's not quite what i had in mind... OOOOOOh, now that's better, much better... Now how frothier can Frothy get ? Now, that's much much much better ! Good job private ! See you soon on the battleground ! (Cryptic has a couple of prezzies for you, to congratulate you on your quitting dope and all, but i'm thirsty and i need a toke first)
~Moon Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (20:05) #1653
It's all too good! Felicity, brilliant, LOL! Sue, that's a keeper. Sophie, those legs!!! Dorine (what a riot). There is just loads of hilarity tonight. Let's always smoke pot. :-D (karen), Master Sargeant Moon. Blow that whistle, honey, or anything else you want! ;-) Ok. This Or, what's under the hat? Don't remind me of those kissing lessons, all for naught.
~gomezdo Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (20:12) #1654
What's a birthday without getting some tchotchkes? Except you can do a bit more with these than just sit them on some shelf to gather dust. Just what every frothy man needs, a sitting rastaman How about some standing Peruvians? Something a little artsy, so it doesn't seem so much like a common tchotchke... And of course, something a little silly and fun... I know, you just can't figure out how you are deserving of this embarrassment of riches I've bestowed on you today. Me, too. ;-)
~soph Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (21:07) #1655
hey guys ! it's 4 a.m. here ! i'm burned out, my eyes are burning as well, and i still haven't given Frothy his prezzies (and i cannot upload anymore...) too bad, i had some groovy stuff in the tune of dorine & moon's prezzies... i'll try to post them tomorrow before the vault closes. Night Night, don't let the roaches bite !
~pianoblues Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (21:18) #1656
One last word from me tonight. To add to my earlier hazadous sign. Said from my heart, because your talent and skills as an Actor are worth so much more and I would love to see you get a few of these!!
~Kathryn Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (21:21) #1657
I know the party may still go on for some ladies, but I just want to say a HUGE thank you for all the fun I've had here today with so much to laugh at and technical skills to admire. What a party! :-)
~pianoblues Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (21:26) #1658
Oh, Good Point Kathryn. I also would like to say it was a 'Cool' Party, lots of laughs, fun and entertainment. 'Thank you, Thank you, Thank you' to everyone whom joined in the Camp Collywobbles fun ;-)
~BarbR Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (21:28) #1659
Enjoyed everything you all have posted today, Ladies! So much imagination and your skills amaze me.
~Moon Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (21:43) #1660
Yes, Camp Collywobbles is mellowing out. Excellent party, ladies! And to you, Colin, as always, it's all in good fun. Yet, there is a message, hope you take it to heart. Looking forward to bigger and better things. Auguri!
~KarenR Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (21:48) #1661
Sophie! I love that bathtub animation. Since I'm a brunette, you can imagine where I am. ;-) Thankfully, I can hold my breath for v. long periods of time. Dorine, you've cornered the market on headshop tchotchkes. Colin should be thrilled to put any of those on his mantelpiece...or his lips around them. (Moon) Yes, Camp Collywobbles is mellowing out. Sure thing, I'm enjoying a lovely cappuccino, made by our favorite, professional barista
~KarenR Sun, Sep 10, 2006 (22:15) #1662

At some point, you have to accede to Colin's choices. *sigh* As a tribute, I thought that anything should fit under the kiddie umbrella. For example: Vince and Lanny went down to Miami to boink some babes and more. But Vince got high while he held Lannys thigh And Maureen sat it out on the floor. Oh my!
~gomezdo Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (00:07) #1665
Well, Colin, yet another birthday party has come and gone for me and you (though I hear Sophie still may have some surprises for you). I hope you had as much fun as it seems others have. We may roast and toast you, but speaking for myself, what *this* girl wants is to see the best from you and for you to help me let my imagination run wild in a great story and inspire me to spend my money and time with you in a theater of any kind. (Or at least do some TV work that you're in more than 5 mins and will be put out on DVD at the very least). ;-) So it's time for me to give you your last present. I'd be shocked if you couldn't guess what it was from all the other ones I gave you....a First Class trip to Amsterdam!! with me as your tour guide. First we'll head to and here Perhaps making a quick pass (so to speak) through the Red Light District After such a busy day, I'm sure you'd need somewhere to kick up your feet and relax a bit, like this coffeeshop Sorry, but no Starbucks to be found here and probably no Fair Trade either. But look this over and you might find something to....*inspire you* I must give you a word of advice though.....unless you have a couple, or ten, hours or so to spare where coherent interaction with others and significant awareness of your physical movements are not essential, I'd stay away from the Space Cakes. That's all I'm sayin'. ;-D To all my fellow Collywobble campers, it's been a blast as always! Bravo to everyone! Always a pleasure to party with such a witty and talented group. :-D I must go back to reread as it was quite a lot to take in. And a big shout out to Rupert Everett for the last minute inspiration. It was priceless.
~pianoblues Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (04:13) #1666
Sophie - ROFLOL, Loved your Colin oxfam coffee shake and bathtub gifs, waaaay too funny. Can't wait to see Frothy's presents today. Karen - love the 'reading Duck', very cute ;-)

all right Frothy, my man, i'm kinda beat, but i hope you could rest after all that hard training these fascists at Cryptic had you endure, man. Bummer. don't you listen to them, you're a cool dude. as a birthday prezzie, i thought i might add to dorine and moon's bingie-bongie collection with a few rolls of selected ciggie paper that might come in handy in specific occasions: Smoking on the job is kind of usual these days, but i'm sure you know about that already. the first batch of paper will help you stay focussed while you're baristing at the progresso counter: But i heard you're also into chocolate. Although not on the same occasion obviously. Here's what will round up your chockie attire nicely: The next one will help you roll a fattie to cool off a bit during the filming of these hot hot hot scenes with Kev'. Oh, and while you're at it, pass it over to your special lady friend will you? Last one will come in handy to roll a jay while you're trying to play yet another uptight-brit-daddy-role. Talk about Hunk Daddy! And to fill all these, my special blend, if it's good for the laziest guy in los angeles county, that should work for... that should work for you, man: well, i can see from the BOOT CAMP DROOL archives that you're already huffin' & puffin'like a steam engine ! glad you like it man, just take it easy and have yourself the coolest chill out post birthday.... duh.... lost my train of thought here.... Here's looking at you, Kid (but don't bogart the joint, though): happy birthday man! (disclaimer: we at Cryptic would never endorse such unsanitary, morally corrupt, orgy inducing & society shattering habits. And remember: -and that goes for you too, rupe, wherever ou are, thanks for saving the day buddy!-

Sophie - ROFLOLOMA, What can I say, those gifts are hillarious. The 'here's looking at you kid' gif and sizzling bacon flavour and mixing drugs warning are my favs. Love dear ole Col's smile on the gif. Also, My Thanks goes to 'The Boss', for hosting this fun Party :-) Dear ole Rupey, what can I say, but thanks for the Collywobbles/Frothy/you name it.......... fodder. I don't mind tell ya, you saved my.......... oh well, nevermind all that ;-)
~pianoblues Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (07:17) #1669
OMG, Oppss, I wanted the gif big so the words could be seen, but I didn't intend for it it come out that big. Oh well, I will blame it on all the inhaled weed last night ;-)
~KarenR Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (08:30) #1670
Fantastic way to pull up the rear, Dorine, Sophie and Sue. (into threesomes, are you?) Am a little hungover from last night's partying and have to zip off soon. But I am going to mull over the two vacation offerings. The Cryptic one included all transfers, so it is looking mighty good. Thanks to everyone for making it such a fun party!
~Moon Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (09:33) #1671
LOL! What a way to end the party, Dorine, Sophie and Sue! I'll roll myself one this morning with this one, Sophie, thanks!
~Moon Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (09:40) #1672
Hello famously lovely drooleuses Just coming out of the woods to tell you how much I enjoyed myself last night. Now why can't someone throw me a party like that? Frothy old boy, you are one lucky guy. Now don't forget to thank these ladies. Remember, you do have a sense of humour. Kiss, Kiss, Rupe.
~Kathryn Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (09:53) #1673
Thanks for the last hurrahs, Karen, Sue, Dorine, Sophie, and Moon. Karen, you no longer can claim you can't rhyme--you even had internal line rhymes! A. E. Poe would be proud! ;-)
~Kathryn Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (10:07) #1674
One last effort for me: There once was an actor from Grayshott, Who heard bon mots for trying some pot. He decided to please All the Droolers who teased And get roles to make him respected a lot.
~soph Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (10:29) #1675
(karen) "The Cryptic one included all transfers" and lots of physical activity (come on in, the water's fine, HA!) How typical of Drool's Bday parties: i've laughed so hard i fell off my chair several times and went to bed at 4 a.m. with bleary eyes and the three little pigs disney song in my head (huffin' an'a puffin' an a blow the house down)... i feel better now but the song is still there ! (not to mention the horrible visions of joy's fantasy island) thanks to everybody for another load of fun and superior tecchie skills (hats off, sue!) despite the short notice: everybody gets DROOL BOOT CAMP medals this year. the grass is not greener anywhere else and drool can sure turn into an addiction (though i'm not sure it is quite so harmless). to our hostess, the best of the bong and the top of the crop: thank you tahnk you thank you ! spot on as usual
~pianoblues Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (10:42) #1676
Sophie - ROF,Am glad Colin the Astronaught has made a come back, is it his sequel? ;-)and thanks for my share with the medal. Hope youve made one for yourself too? Your bathtub gif is still cracking me up. Just love the Colin suddenly rises from his semi-recumbant posture, waaaaaaay to funny ;-) Kathryn - Love the poem.
~McKenzie Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (14:24) #1677
Sorry to have missed the festivities yesterday ;-( At first, my internet connection was "iffy"- and then it was gone - up in smoke, so to speak ;-) I am now working on attempting to post from the office - but in the meantime, I didn't want to pass up a chance to send my very best wishes to dear Collywobbles. Happy Birthday, Colin!
~McKenzie Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (15:56) #1678
Well, Colin................Another Year (you are holding up *very well*, BTW)..............A brand new Birthday Party..... And, as do all good party guests, I come bearing gifts. First, a great big helium "Happy Birthday" Balloon........... Next, a very special present..... Go ahead - open it.............. And what party would be complete without cake? I've brought a special one that I have a hunch you will like........... Please remember, though, that it is a CAKE - so don't try to make any calls on it.............too messy ;-) Now, moving on to the party theme. I didn't have to think for too long about What This Girl Wants. It's quite simple really............ I just want you to take on movie roles that will combine *This*..................... *That*....................... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm....Oh sorry!.....I was unashamedly distracted by *this and that* ;-)))...... Now, where was I? Oh yes. Lest my other wishes be deemed too shallow,..................and I want *The Other Thing*, too!.......... Happy Birthday, Frothy! Enjoy your special day! ;-) This edition of What This Girl Wants has been brought to you with a little help from my son (who is a model of patience) & my good friend;-)
~KarenR Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (17:41) #1679
It was great fun to catch up with the afterparty crowd. I see a few people still passed out in the corners. Loved the return of Astronaut Colin on the Moon. And agree that Joy's Fantasy Island has the potential for nightmares. ;-) Fantastic job there, Maureen. You put some decency apparel on Colin. A thong! How funny. ;-)
~lindak Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (17:48) #1680
(Karen)You put some decency apparel on Colin. A thong! How funny. ;-) I must be getting old. I enjoyed the thong, but for some reason the brown suede outfit sent me over the moon. LOL, I didn't even post from some of my, eh, whips and leather sites;-) I've been passed out all day. Just now feeling a bit better! Great party, ladies. With all that weed I wonder how Frothy's feeling?
~Kathryn Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (18:18) #1681
Can anyone explain why, when I click on "Activity Today" and go to this topic, it starts all the way back at the beginning? I think Janet brought it up previously.
~KarenR Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (18:27) #1682
It is because message #129 and #130 have a future date (2036). We used to have those dating issues all the time, which does screw things up. I will ask Terry if he can completely get rid of those two messages or change the date, which I believe he can do.
~KarenR Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (18:31) #1683
If you want to see the party from its start, use the Redisplay feature at the bottom and put in 1540. That the first message from the party.
~KarenR Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (18:42) #1684
One thing I do need to know are the answers to Sophie's quiz in message 1652, Level 4 training: Friend or Foe. Who gets the hammer and who gets a hit from a joint? 1. Nick Hornby - hammer 2. Mumia - hammer 3. Marc Evans - hammer 4. Brian DePalma (or looks kind of like Fidel Castro in that pic) - hammer 5. Bill Clinton - the joint How did I score?
~gomezdo Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (20:44) #1685
Whoa!, how'd this all of a sudden start going back to the very beginning when I clicked on post 1683? That's a pain.
~KarenR Mon, Sep 11, 2006 (21:22) #1686
Terry did a fix so that those two bad 2036 year messages don't mess everything up anymore. It looks like it is now behaving.
~soph Tue, Sep 12, 2006 (04:26) #1687
(karen) "How did I score?" not bad, not bad ! you'll get a medal alright. although there was a trick: considering you're too stoned to handle a hammer in the first place... oh and btw, it was not mummia (awright, awright, forgot to include HIM in the game...) but bob marley: so joint obviously here... yeay animatronicolins ***maureen*** ! good job here (looks like a 1983 speedo model from the front) (kathryn) There once was an actor from Grayshott, Who heard bon mots for trying some pot. He decided to please All the Droolers who teased By taking his kit off in future shots (not quite rhyming though)
~pianoblues Tue, Sep 12, 2006 (05:25) #1688
ROF, Great post Maureen. Looks like you caught up with Colin in NYC and got him to model his new Jacket, not to mention his thong, you lucky Lady ;-) glad you could join the party. (Linda)With all that weed I wonder how Frothy's feeling? LOL Linda, and funny you should say that, because I heard on the 'Camp Collywobbles' grapevine that Colin ran himself a bath and visions of the night before came before him ;-)
~pianoblues Tue, Sep 12, 2006 (05:39) #1689
BTW, I also heard that Frothy wore his 'tux' in the bath because he feels 'it adds a real sense of occasion' it appears that he can't get enough of that weed, or so it may seem ;-)
~Adrianne Tue, Sep 12, 2006 (07:15) #1690
Last, but not least (thanks to my internet expertise!) Although Im two days later, Id like to wish Colin a Happy Birthday, lots of sucess with his new films and say that I admire him and his work very much! Little by little Ive been watching his films and each time I like him more. Ladies, Im having such a great time reading about your posts, pictures about "Frothy and the weed party"!!!Congratulations, you are very creative and funny!!!! I still have to read about this story, but I can imagine what is going on! Maybe next year Ill be able to post pictures and graphics too! Thank you for the great time!
~raditto Tue, Sep 12, 2006 (08:15) #1691
I would also like to add my thanks for the great party. I am envious of your talents. I did see this fellow on the way out. I'm not sure if he's still here from a previous year's party, or if he came back again this year.
~KarenR Tue, Sep 12, 2006 (10:40) #1692
Bob Marley?! Well, if I could only pry my eyes open a little big more...or make the picture bigger. Definitely like Colin's trip, Sue. You must be talking to Timothy Leary. ;-) Wonderful to see you join the party, Adrianne! And, Peg, that crack monkey keeps hanging around this place. Gotta get him to rehab. ;-)
~frostygirl Tue, Sep 12, 2006 (11:57) #1693
Ok encouraged by a mutual friend(you know who you are!!)and in an attempt to not feel the most useless HTML user ever....I come late to the party(again!)with just a little present.... The collywobbles set in everytime I think of you my dearest loveliest 'Frothy' You are all this girl could want! HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLIN!
~frostygirl Tue, Sep 12, 2006 (11:58) #1694

~KarenR Tue, Sep 12, 2006 (12:04) #1695
Good job, Jenny. You'll be animating with the best of them soon!
~pianoblues Tue, Sep 12, 2006 (12:13) #1696
Great job Jenny, and LOL about the collywobbles. I know that feeling ;-)
~pianoblues Tue, Sep 12, 2006 (12:16) #1697
Opps, meant to say, Peg, LOL at the crack monkey. By the look of his tummy, he has a touch of collywobbleitis too ;-) Karen, LOL about the Tim Leary mention ;-)
~soph Tue, Sep 12, 2006 (13:57) #1698
(karen) "How did I score?" ahhaaaahhh! i didn't get it the first time ! how thick of me ! and finally, some sound advice from a good friend of frothy: ps: sue, your animation also reminds me of benicio del toro in his fear & loathing bathtub, complete with orange peels and the jefferson airplane...
~Kathryn Tue, Sep 12, 2006 (17:26) #1699
Glad you jumped in, Jenny. [I still get the collywobbles every time I post in html, so don't feel alone on this.:-)]
~lindak Tue, Sep 12, 2006 (18:16) #1700
