Why am I still chatting about Austin places?!?!
THe ultimate all-nighter place here is the Broadway Cafe. Super seedy, dive
diner. We've had some scary moments at that place but they're up all night
when we are so... and fabulous egg sandwiches.

In Bastrop, there's the Texas Grill. Not a great place, but
after all, there's not much else in Bastrop.

I'm partial to Kerby Lane on 183 North, being that I spend most of
my time in N Austin these days.

I really didn't like the north location but maybe it's improved.

They have a nice sitting area with couches where you can hang out and
drink coffee and socialize while you wait for a table.
But they did put up a car wash about 3 feet away, and this really
messed up the view where there used to be trees and brush.
I love their baked potato omelette. Good stuff.
And their coffees pretty decent.

The North location is like something you would expect to see in S Austin,
a definite anachronism for the neighborhood. It's almost slackeresque in
it's laidbackness.

There's a new restaurant poll issue out, so I'll have lots of comments after I go through it. Things have changed. Best Late Night has to be Kerbey Lane still. I don't know about Star Seeds and HighLife, they may not even be open now.
