Where can you get the best Dim Sum? Anyone have a good definition of Dim Sum?
~KitchenManager #1
And this year's winner is: Tien Hong
~stacey #2
I'd have to agree, although this is the ONLY place I've ever had Dim Sum.
~terry #3
Define dim sung please someone.
~stacey #4
Dim sung or dim sum? [1~Dim, the Elvis impersonator sung at the Copacabana before his operation to become a Barbara Striesand lookalike. Dim Sum is a Vietnamese (?) brunch event where the waitress rolls a cart around with all sorts of edible delicacies and you take what you want, when you want. The most famous Dim Sum dish would be chicken's feet. Something about good luck I believe. If you go to Tien Hong, there is plenty of veg food to keep you busy! I think the whole affair is most fun when you go in a large group.

*wandering hands*
~stacey #13
Where are they wandering?
~KitchenManager #14
Not sure yet, but I'll let ya know when they get there!
~stacey #15
If I'm lucky, I may know before I'm told!
~KitchenManager #16
If we keep this up, there may not be a choice... Who am I kidding, there's always choices.
~stacey #17
Yes, there are always choices. That's why you shouldn't find yourself "in a bad place" for too long. You can fix it. You can't control some situations though, so the "fix" isn't always what you'd hoped for. Now... back to those wandering hands. Do you believe me about the panties yet?
~KitchenManager #18
Doesn't matter. If I say no, you will take them off. If I say yes, can't prove it anyway.
~tisdel #19
What are we talking about?
~terry #20
Dim Sum restaurants. Know any good ones? Hey, welcome by the way.
~KitchenManager #21
See what happens when we're in public, stacey. Chronicle Readers Poll Runners-up: Rainbow, Pacific Moon Honorable Mentions: Pao's Mandarin House, Mars, Kim Phung
~stacey #22
Indecent Exposure again today. Trust me, te undies thing is a preference -- much too restrictin at times.
~KitchenManager #23
ok (and probably not enough at others)
~terry #24
I went Dim Sum last night on my date. To Pacific Moon at 2712 Bee Caves Road. The food was awesome. I had a salad, with mushroom soup for an appetizer (the soup was made with Chaterelles and Shitake, it was the *best* soup I've ever had), and I had the seafood sampler for an entree. When I first walked in, the decor was that of a very upscale whorehouse, bright red Victorian furniture in a living room setting that didn't look very restauranty at all. But very comfortable. They had a scrapbook that I looked through of their previous incarnation in Little Rock, AK. My date, an extremely attractive blond, was great company and just happened to have a gift certificate from her movie producer friend. I'll have to send him a thank you note. Great dining experience. Dim Sung at it's best.
~stacey #25
Is this the same date as last week (movie night)? Or are you "playing the field"?
~terry #26
Same. But I play on the field also.
~stacey #27
outfield, infield? Any preferences?
~terry #28
Prefer the female players.
~KitchenManager #29
I take it then that you're not a switch hitter, terry? And are ya exposing any indecencies again today, stacey?
~terry #30
Not a switch hitter and no plans of becoming one.
~stacey #31
Prim and not-quite proper today!
~KitchenManager #32
I thought the kiss tasted different...
~stacey #33
Where were you kissing? *giggle*
~terry #34
Auctions are said to become a declining segment of ecommerce in the stats I looked at yet you guys get ever more wildly successful. It's great to hear your success story.
~stacey #35
Hey Paul, you lost?? You just bardged in to our virtual bedroom!!! *laugh*
~KitchenManager #36
Just because we bid well, doesn't mean we're wildly succesful(sp?), yet...
~autumn #37
I just got these Dim Sum frozen tofu/veggie wraps with sobaya kamut/buckwheat noodles from the food co-op. The kids can hardly wait....
~KitchenManager #38
well... how were they?
~stacey #39
made by a company called Dim Sum?
~autumn #40
No, they're from Health is Wealth. Haven't had 'em yet, though--saving them for a Wednesday night (the girls eat at my parents' on Wed.)
~KitchenManager #41
that would be tonight
~autumn #42
Yeah, but my husband's out of town. I hate to dim sum alone, don't you, wer?
~KitchenManager #43
never dim sum-med, actually...
~jgross5 #44
dim was sum good times i had with Dimmie. towards the end of our friendship, tho, she beat me to death several times with a turnip. but she only snapped my arm off twice. if she'd call me tonight to eat out with her, i'd jump at the chance, put on some icecream, drive over and pick her up, all within like 20 minutes probably.
~autumn #45
You are too much!! :-)
~riette #46
Isn't he?!?! I have never met anyone quite so confusing as Jim Gross, and that's the honest truth.
~stacey #47
*laugh*
~autumn #48
He probably feels the same way about you, Riette! :-D
~KitchenManager #49
Wednesday, again, did you et dem dim sum, hon?
~autumn #50
Good one, wer! Nope. He is in a frenzy getting ready for this vacation, and I ate leftovers and went to Wal-Mart. How's that for quality time?
~KitchenManager #51
depends, what did you get at Wal-Mart?
~autumn #52
Birthday gift for my nephew (like, one hour before the party!)--art supplies.
~riette #53
It's because of people like you that people become artists and biologists. Mum's best friend always forgot our birthday, then she'd rush to the nearest supermarket and get us art supplies, because all kids like to draw. As did I, but Sonja liked disecting dead insects, so she'd take the little sharpner apart, and use it as a scalpel, while the paint brushes became poking instruments. In the end I became an artist and she a biologist . . . so last minute gifts truly have their uses, you see.
~autumn #54
Yeah, imagine what your you'd be doing with your life if she'd bought you Safari Barbie.
~riette #55
He could brush her hair, undress her everywhere . . .
~sprin5 #56
What does Dim Sum mean. Keep going Riette.
