Wow, Stacey talking Dog and Duck last November! Fados is my fave. Their fish and chips are great.

haven't eaten there myself, just drank and socialized with Terry and Stacey...

English pubs are great. Five years ago when I was there for the first time, the food in pubs were horrendous. Nowadays you buy your best english meals in pubs. And I still maintain that English chips is the best in the world. All that oil and salt and vinegar - yum!!!

Used to go to Crown and Anchor a lot when I was on UT campus more than I am now. I recommend it, especially Sundays when all imported pints are $2.30. Waterloo Brew Pub has good burgers and onion rings. Check out Shoal Creek Saloon on Lamar & 9th -- excellent lunch menu of Louisiana cooking.

That Shoal Creek Saloon's a new one on me, what's the decore there?

It's just a beer joint with a good kitchen and a nice patio in the back. Lots of New Orleans Saints crap on the walls, more than you'll ever see anywhere else (including New Orleans).
