new age spiritual teachers and gurus

Overheard: Ram Dass visited Wavy Gravy at Mt. Zion hospital, where Wavy was having some neck vertebrae fused but then caught pneumonia. Not funny! R.D. was mobile in a wheelchair, and able to communicate despite some remaining aphasia. Wavy's now recuperating at home. Please send him some get-well beamz! (He did sound very cheerful today on the phone!)

Terry, I thought I'd jump in here, so here goes! There is quite an increase in New Age Spiritual teachers, these days, as people are, seemingly, looking toward other aspects of their spirituality; some claiming to feel emptiness in the spiritual aspects of their lives. I, too, have had that same experience, and, have listened to many of the New Age Spiritual teachers. But, I do feel that people should be very careful, and listen very closely with their "common sense"; a lot of the alleged "teachers" are basically teaching common sense things, that, most of us are already aware of, but, the info has been changed around into some "wonderfully cosmic revelations". Not all of them do this - there are some legitimate teachers, out there; I just stress using caution and listening to your own inner voice and "common sense" gift, without getting jaded by a smooth talking "teacher"!
