Mobile web browsing using a radio or a cellphone. How do you do it? Do you want to do it? At what cost? Is it worth it? This topics also explores getting email while mobile, which some may consider more useful.

I've heard of a setup that works for mobile web browsing. The guy that did this is getting serious geek points. Do you have any idea how valuable geek points are around Austin? The mobile device is called a MagicLink. It's only 4800-9600bps depending on how near the cellsite you are. Cost: Sony PIC-2000 w/ Presto!Links and Presto!Mail: $650 or so. Sony cellphone adapter kit: $250 Cellphone: $200-$500. *Test it*. Don't buy a cheap cellphone that won't work.
